<gumbal1> Lisa reads in the commons, wrapped once again in a cozy-looking grey blanket.
<TesKin> Rae heads into Commons, carrying a box with his PS2.
<gumbal1> Lisa looks up at Rae. She tentatively waves.
<TesKin> Rae smiles. "I'd wave if my hands weren't full. Do you mind if I commender the TV?"
<gumbal1> "Not at all."
<TesKin> "Cool, thanks!"
<TesKin> Rae heads over to the TV, and sets his box down, pulling out the console and various cables. He starts plugging in everything.
<gumbal1> Lisa watches quietly.
<TesKin> "How're you?"
<gumbal1> "I'm fine. Classes are good."
<TesKin> "Classes are a lot easier than I originally thought."

<gumbal1> "I was...surprised. I thought the classes would be normal, but the history teacher..."
<TesKin> "Right?"
<TeslaTornado> Chris wanders in as well, after a few minutes, and glances around the room: Rae and Lisa.  In his mind, he's waiting for a repeat of the other day's festivities.  "Hey guys," he says as he glides across the room to a chair.
<gumbal1> "So, what are you setting up?"
<TesKin> "My Playstation. I've been meaning to start up another playthough of Persona 3."
<TeslaTornado> Chris cranes his neck and watches the proceedings with a slight upward curl to his eyebrows.
<gumbal1> "Oh." Lisa watches intently. "I've heard it's good."
<TesKin> "Oh yeah, it's great."
<TesKin> Rae flips the switch on the PlayStation.
<TesKin> "How're you, Chris?"
<TeslaTornado> Chris perks up once he hears his name called out.  "Eh?  Oh, I'm alright, sorry.  Little sleepy."
<TesKin> "How's your stomach?"
<TeslaTornado> "Huh?  Oh, it's fine, fine, I actually felt better after like...  A day."

<gumbal1> Lisa continues watching the screen.
<TesKin> Rae is currently fighting giant Hulk Hogan looking creatures. The battle theme for the game is really catchy.
<Nemi> Someone, roughly average height, slithers into the common room to slink into a couch seat. They're dangerously slender, fair-skinned, with long blonde hair and ocean-blue eyes marred by what looks like tear-ruined mascara running from eyelids down the cheeks. Any other particular details are concealed by a battered grey hoodie for someone with six inches and perhaps a hundred pounds on
<Nemi> the wearer. They stare at the screen much as Lisa does.

<gumbal1> Lisa waves at the new person, and smiles. "Hi Anthiel."
<TesKin> Rae looks away from the screen, and at the new person. "Oh, hey!"
<TeslaTornado> "No, I'm fi-" Chris glances up at the new person, raises his eyebrow at the streaks on his face.  "Hellooo."
<Nemi> "Hello, Lisa." The voice is actually rather clear, a musical mezzo-soprano. They smile at Rae and Lisa both. "Hello. We have not met. I am Anthiel. Now we have. Convenient, no?"
<TesKin> "Seems like it. I'm Rae. It's nice to meet you."
<Nemi> "Yes. Is this.. Persona? The art style and music is familiar."
<gumbal1> "It is. Persona 3. I never played this particular game, but I liked reading about it." Of course the living persona protagonist would be a fan.
<Nemi> Because why /wouldn't/ she be? Anthiel watches over Rae's shoulder with some fascination.
<TeslaTornado> Chris also watches, from a distance.

<gumbal1> Lisa watches the screen.
<TeslaBronado> Rae, who has been looking at the screen intently, looks away and at Anthiel. "Fuck."
<Nemi> Anthiel's weirdly pretty without the cracked chalky skin and black ooze everywhere. Still looks like there was some kind of upset in the past, but eh.
<TeslaBronado> Rae plays on, bopping to the beat of Burn My Dread.
<TeslaBronado> "So do you guys play games often or?"
<Nemi> "I used to. Then I spent four years in a lab. No games there. I suppose that means I remember the classics. And, of course, I can't afford a system of my own.."
<TeslaBronado> "Oh, I plan on leaving my PS2 here, so you can use it whenever."
<Nemi> "You have Zone of the Enders?"
<gumbal1> "Not really. If I do, it's mostly stuff like Undertale and Allison Road."
<TeslaTornado> Chris perks up again at the mention of Zone of the Enders.  "Oh, I know that one!"
<gumbal1> Of course the Sadako-lookalike would like horror games.
<TeslaBronado> "I think?" Rae pauses P3 and starts rifling through the box he brought in, eventually pulling out Zone of the Enders and Silent Hill 2.
<TeslaBronado> "I left some at home, but I got my favorites, and some ones that other people may want to play.
<TeslaTornado> "Silent Hill 2, nnnice."  Chris scoots towards the gathered little party, his bag flumping against his thigh.
<TeslaBronado> "It's the mother of modern horror. How could I not bring it."
<Nemi> "I have no idea what those are, Lisa. My knowledge ends before twenty fifteen.. Silent Hill 2, too. Oh, /lovely/. I am flashing to when I was tiny and very much shouldn't have been playing any of those. My father's system, really.."
<TeslaBronado> "Oh man, I remember when my pops and I played through SH2."
<gumbal1> "I liked that game, but I always put off by the controls."
<Nemi> "It came from the era of tank controls. Not a good era. The games were classic /despite/ them."
<TeslaTornado> "Technological limitations defining the conventions of gaming for literally decades to come."  Chris laughs.  "Weird how that works out, isn't it?"
<TeslaBronado> "And the combat, but that was done intentionally because James wasn't supposed to be a fighter."
<Nemi> "Imagine if a Dynasty Warriors character were in Silent Hill."
<TeslaBronado> "Oh God."
<TeslaBronado> "I like the feeling of the game though."
<TeslaBronado> "The HD collection ruined it for me though."
<gumbal1> "I'd probably be put off. DW seems too fluid for the atmosphere."
<TeslaTornado> "Oh my god I'd play the hell out of that game."
<TeslaTornado> "...  Actually, that sounds like Devil May Cry but, like...  Horror-y."
<TeslaBronado> "Oh man, imagine DW style combat in a horror setting like SH. That would probably sell like crazy."
<Nemi> "More horror-themed Devil May Cry with massive scale combat. I would play that. Yesterday." Anthiel nods its head.

<Nemi> Anthiel shakes its head and makes a musical 'tch' sound.

<Nemi> "I was not aware there were breasts in Call of Duty. Did I miss a few installments?"

<Nemi> "I'm not familiar." Given that Lisa's the only one to have seen Anthiel in true horror mode, it's almost surely lost on Chris and Rae.

<gumbal1> "It had some karate guy, who lived in a world without women, and he finds a baby or something. I forget, it's been a while."

<Nemi> Anthiel resumes watching the television and remaining expressionless. "We should." It's nice to have things to try and connect with people over. Anthiel didn't like to admit how much it needed them.
<TeslaBronado> "Yeah, totally."
<TeslaBronado> "I can have my pops send the rest of mine too."
<Nemi> ".. I do not have a collection anymore. I would be happy to see yours."
<TeslaBronado> "Of course. You all have free reign of my PS2."
<gumbal1> "I never really played consoles. My dad was more into PC games."
<Nemi> "We could not afford a PC to run one. My father had an old PS2 from when he was younger, and got a PS3 on sale years later."
