Ticket to ride

Rocket was gathering up the bonemetal, artifacts and the other ancient materials that he had gathered up from his expeditions. He had sifted through them throughly, picking out what he needed or thought would be most useful for him, removing anything that he deemed useless or scraps that he could sell at a low price for anyone who would be interested. Anything else that he deemed of worth was sifted through again and separated in different categories. Stuff that he's keeping for himself and things that he can sell or trade for more useful items and parts. He's still set on making himself new gear and that new weapon, he has been planning this for a while now as well. He has some personal plans up in his mind for his next expedition or assignment, he does plan on taking his mercenary job more seriously. He has been getting some pretty interesting offers, money isn't everything to Rocket, he's been offered some interesting items and deals, things he would never get his hands on normally unless he went to some shady people or places. So he's attempting to prepare himself so he can take on these offers, they absolutely would help him prepare for even more interesting job offers.

Rocket packed up everything that he was willing to sell or trade, he had a good load of material and items so he had to transfer it using a vehicle with a bed, he was hoping to get rid of most things today but he wasn't pressed about it. Some people of interest had contacted him to show up as well, they heard he had obtained some items and materials that could be of interest to them so they wanted to show what stock he had on hand and if it could be useful to them. Rocket wasn't against the request, they had offered him what he was looking for as well, either money or trade for resources that he might have interest in. He was more than intrigued in striking up a big deal if possible, it would save him lots of time and it seems like they might be big spenders or have items of interest for the man. He had worked with these contractors before but only through a third party as they were keeping their identity anonymous at the time, rocket didn't ask questions as long as he got what he needed.

Rocket had arrived at the location that he was instructed to meet up at, a building like any other. He wasn't suspicious of the location at all especially that it wasn't in the middle of nowhere but he wasn't going to simply walk in like that, that's not his style at all. He always comes prepared and it is his first time meeting these people so he grabbing his gun with him just in case things go south, deals and business transactions don't always go smoothly and this is his first time dealing with them face to face.

The Skire slowly walked in, he was soon greeted by Edwin. The crook had a serious look to his appearance but seemed like your average business man as soon as he spoke, rocket knew that he was the one that he will be speaking with throughout their transaction. His attention shifted momentarily to the pod that was inspecting an item that she had picked up from the desk, he didn't pay too much mind to her and turned his attention back to Edwin. He had told him that he has everything outside in his vehicle, that it is too much to bring all inside so they could look at it and pick out what they need. Edwin didn't mind, he called for his firm partner and they all headed out to his vehicle so they could take a look at what rocket brought them. The pod started looking through what rocket had brought in his vehicle while Edwin spoke with rocket, discussing prices and what items they could offer for trade in return if they interested rocket, that he could look at them when they are back inside after jaw was done looking through things. Rocket agreed, stating that he will take a look after they are done outside as he would rather they pick out what they need first and he could accept other payments instead of trade if he doesn't find anything of interest.

Edwin had brought up another proposal to Rocket if he was interested in more work, rocket listened, telling him to go on and so he did. Edwin informed rocket that they are accepting any kind of help they could get for building a rocket ship to space, that they are offering all sorts of payment and even a sit on the ship to whoever contributes to it. Rocket had an unsure look on his face, he would absolutely have to ask and discuss this with reaper, his partner before he even agrees. He had questions for Edwin as well, he wasn't simply going to accept this assignment without looking further into this, sure he doesn't mind taking risks but most risks he can easily manage but this is a trip to space. Yeah he went on expeditions to the core and had to deal with ichor beasts and all that sorts but he knew what he exactly was getting in but a trip to space? He has no idea what they might find or deal with.

Rocket explained such to Edwin, that there's a lot of risks with this even the idea of helping building something as large as a spaceship, that he works best as a leader of some sorts than a worker in a group. He can make it happen but he would have to think about it and discuss it with his partner, that he will have to get back to him on this so he should accept a reply in a few days perhaps, that they should focus on their deal for now.
