ECA-00 - ELITE COMBAT ARMOR PROTOTYPE - "BLEEDING PHOENIX "

Built and equipped with the finest technology and weaponry that the Federation could provide, the Elite Combat Armor, also known as the BLEEDING PHOENIX, is perhaps the most advanced suit of power armor ever to be created by Humanity as a whole.

Designed as a theoretical concept piece meant to demonstrate the limits of power armor technology, the Elite Combat Armor was never meant to be used in real combat operations, but rather to showcase the various features of NextGen Armor technology and to serve as a testbed for the future developments of power armor.

The sleek and form-fitting design is a deviation from traditional bulky Federation design paradigm, sacrificing the traditional ruggedness and reliability in exchange for maximizing high-performance. But one should not mistake the lack of bulk for weakness or delicacy.

Underneath the armor is a complex network of powerful high-tensile carbon-nanotube fibers which form what can approximated as an artificial muscle system which react and move in response to neuro-electrical currents generated from its user's implants. These muscles serve to enhance the enhance the user's physical abilities to unsurpassed heights. The user's ability can be further enhanced through the use of a powerful system of integrated micro-rockets throughout the suit, which allows for tremendous mobility and even a degree of limited flight.

The armor is further enhanced with an array of energized armor plating which allows the wielder to shrug off tremendous damage of all sorts. In addition to the above, the armor is also equipped with a series of shield emitters across the armor which further enhances the user's protective abilities against kinetic and energy weaponry.

Rather than the traditional GEN2 and GEN3 fusion generators utilized by the FM-Series of power armor, the Elite Combat Armor is powered by the prototype GEN3-X dual-fusion generator, which provides more than enough power needed to sustain the armor's performance in the field and potentially even more than the armor requires. However, this comes at the cost of heavily straining the armor's systems. In order to avoid inflicting damage to the user, the power output is equipped with protocols which limit the reactor of its maximum potential output, though it may be temporarily overridden for increased performance in critical situations.

Much like all power armor, the Elite Combat Armor is environmentally sealed to protect the user against environmental effects. Though designed for such purposes, the armor is capable of limited extra-atmospheric and aquatic combat, navigating through the use of its power thrusters and surviving for several hours before its oxygen recyclers begin to fail.

An integrated medical system injects combat stimulants and medical foam, both of which can be released with a mental command. The former can accelerate the user's perception and reflexes to the extent that time would seem to slow down around them. The latter serves as an anesthetic and clotting agent designed to supplement the existing suite of healing abilities available to the user and temporarily stabilize their condition and allow them to continue fighting for a period of time even after sustaining what would otherwise be immediately fatal wounds.

Onboard sensory equipment allows the user to detect and mark fast-moving targets at a range of several kilometers with tremendous accuracy. These sensors include sound, thermal and light sensor systems which allow the user to ascertain targets behind cover, barriers and even penetrate through certain stealth systems.

Furthermore, the armor is equipped with a suite of construction-based nanomachines which will repair all damages sustained to the suit, provided that the user is not in direct combat and the suite has an ample supply of energy to draw upon. In addition to these basic functions, the armor may be modified to "mass-fabricate" designs which have been programmed into its system, such as basic weaponry, ammunition and even simple forms of technology.

In addition to the above functions, the Elite Combat Armor is also built to be highly modular, capable of mounting a wide variety of auxiliary armament units for a number of different situations, from high-mobility power thrusts designed for extended supersonic flight, to high-velocity assault cannons for highly accurate long-range bombardment.

But most important of all its functions is the armor's eponymous PHOENIX system. Much like all power armor systems before it, the Elite Combat Armor contains a "black box" in which the neural patterns of the user is recorded and preserved, creating in effect as a mental backup in which the user can be preserved in the event of their death, so that it may be recovered by friendly forces. However, the Elite Combat Armor takes this a step further. Rather than simply recording the user's neural data, it can use the neural data along with the physical data recorded by its instruments to "upgrade" the user.

Every time the user is critically damaged, the armor's medical systems coordinate with the suite of construction-based nanomachines to modify the user by replacing damaged biological components with cybernetics designed to enhance their performance in every regard, in essence modifying its user to be more compatible with the suit. This would therefore allow the armor to increase its reactor output until it reaches a theoretical peak performance where the GEN3-X reactor would be able to operate at maximum capacity without fear of severely damaging the user.
