- Hi Mr. Guise,
- My name is Justin DiPierro and I'm going to be starting the Computer Science program at SUNY ADK this fall. Currently I don't meet the Math requirements to take your Intro to Programming class, and thus am registered to start out in Intro to Internet Development. I do have some programming experience and from the class description it sounds like Intro to Internet Dev will be mostly the basic concepts of programming, and I believe it will be almost entirely review for me. In my young teens I took a class on BASIC that taught me the fundamentals of programming, and more recently I have a friend who's a CompSci major at a school out in Massachusetts and he's taught me Object Oriented programming, and the Java language. I've also done some light scripting for game engines in the past.
- I was hoping that even though I don't meet the Math requirements I could get your permission to take your Intro to Programming class. I believe that I'll be able to pick up the math concepts that I don't know better if I can look at them as a programming challenge instead of just a math problem. Also my aforementioned friend in CompSci has said he could tutor me if I have any issues.
- If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to contact me either by email or phone at 518-222-3780
- Thank you for your time and have a great rest of the summer.
- Justin DiPierro
