  1. Future Changes to KiamarasARPG

Due to the species and ARPG growing as a whole, now that we have a much better idea of how the ARPG is working in practice, what you guys like rather than dislike, and the overall vibe, we are introducing some changes and additions. These are small and will be added at a future date (when this date is will be announced with a minimum of 48 hours' warning) but nevertheless, we are working on introducing them.

  6. We will be breaking things down into an overview and details, so if you just want the TL;DR version we will add this in the Overview. For those who like the details, keep reading!

  10. PET CHANGES:
  11. We will be introducing a variety of changes to the abilities of some of the older buff pets. This is due to us seeing how the pets themselves are used, how they are not being used, and their rarity. We will also be including a new rarity chart on pet profiles that will be updated every 6 months. New pets will have their rarity added around 1 month after implementation, or after their method of obtaining them has changed (For example; an event quest that you can no longer enter). These rarities are not set in stone, but they will be displayed on each profile to show how common, uncommon, rare, very rare, or legendary a pet is in the world of solaria!

  13. PET ACHIEVEMENTS:
  14. We will also be adding some pet achievements to the game. These will be claimable via the Claims section of the site until we are able to implement an automatic way of granting them to users. These will include categories such as how many unique pets you obtain in total, how many of a specific type you have, using the same pet x amount of times in a quest, etc.

  16. PET QUESTS:
  17. That's right, pet quests! These quests solely focus on one of your pets and can earn you little rewards too! These will be present in the Job Center update with G'Ma asking your pets to help her find hidden objects, take part in pet pageants, or even just to see your wonderful pets. The best bit about these quests is you'd only need to draw the pet itself!

  19. JOB BOARD UPDATE:
  20. It's been a while since we've updated you, however, this will also come hand-in-hand with the updates mentioned above! The plan for the Job Board going forward will be to have permanent job quests for G'Ma, Kenwood, and Joseph. Each quest will give the same rewards and will change every 2 months with the requirements needed to keep them fresh. The rewards from Job Board quests will be changing also! Every now and then, there will be an 'Urgent Request' quest, where one of the NPCs needs your help then and there. Urgent requests will grant either unique items, more currency, or even rarer items and will usually be a once-per-account quest when they are active and will only remain up for a week or two.

  22. RECIPE CHANGES:
  23. We will be reworking a lot of the recipes that are needed to craft specific items or pets. Whilst the crafting mechanic is still in its revamp development, we wanted to make the process of doing these much simpler and to make the lower-tier items easier to craft or, if we feel too much crafting is going on, able to be obtained from the General Store.

  25. ITEM CHANGES:
  26. Some items will be changing! These can be minor changes such as editing loot tables, or overall working on how an item can or can't be used in the ARPG. We will also be adding additional items over the next few months as well!

  28. NEW ITEMS AND PREEXISTING ITEMS BEING ADDED TO SHOPS:
  29. As mentioned above, some items will be added to the shops. This includes pre-existing and brand-new items! We have a lit as to what we are looking to implement below.

  31. NEW COMPANION SPECIES - MINIMILKS:
  32. The dromedairy equivalent of a Microkiamara, which will bring a buff specifically for Droma! Including new droma-related rarity items and more great surprises - maybe even an exclusive subtype tablet? This species is in the works and will be implemented by the end of the year.

  34. NEW GUILD SHOPS:
  35. As we are working our way into the Main Quest being released, we will also be making three new shops for all three guilds. Most items within the guild shops will be purchasable with Credits, with others being purchasable with their respective guild tokens for higher-tiered items.

  37. MAIN CAMPAIGN UPDATE:
  38. The first chapter of the Main Campaign is complete, with quests being outlined and rewards planned. All that is left to do is the artwork for the quest line and plot, finish up NPC pages, and write flavour text for the quests to help with the narrative! We are so thankful for everyone's patience with the main campaign as we are very excited to bring it to you but don't want to rush anything due to irl issues causing the delay.

  40. NPC SIDE QUESTS:
  41. We have all three of the first NPC Quests written up with rewards planned and ready to be expanded upon! These will be released with the main story, with the NPCS Leonidas, Rose, and Sal all having their NPC quests released at the same time. We can't wait for you to get to know these characters better!

  43. NPC AND GEOGRAPHY PAGES:
  44. As the year comes to a close, there will be a big push for these pages to be complete or at least in a readable order by the end of the year. We will be focusing primarily on the pages listed below due to their significance with the main story being written!

  46. Blessings, Curses, and Form Breaking:
  47. Blessings and curses will be aimed to be implemented around Halloween-time! This has taken quite a while due to us wanting to have a backlog of different blessings or curses and working how they can be implemented into the game! Form Breaking will be a new quest where you are able to form break a Legendary Stone to grant your Kiamara an Alt Form. There will also be a slightly revised system for Alt forms when it comes to breeding.
