  ❀ coming from a religious family and being the daughter of a priest, saika’s childhood wasn’t one that a kid would want to relive. though being born with a silver spoon, her parents were very old-fashioned, something quite unfit in the modern world. her relationship with her parents wasn’t a happy one. they sheltered her, kept her from living her teen years to the fullest with their strict rules, they drilled her with unnecessary precautions. she wasn’t allowed to date, no going out of the house without permission, stuff like that. she’s been homeschooled all her life. she was almost imprisoned in her own home and because of that, saika didn’t have a lot of friends growing up. almost none, actually. despite her obedience, she feels a strong distaste toward her family, more specifically towards her mother. the woman was a lot stricter than her father, bossier and meaner. sometimes sakia wished that her father would just leave her. she despises the woman even more when she finds out that her mother is having an affair. but saika stays quiet about this, feeling like she needs to wait for the right time to use it against her.
  ❀ saika wasn’t supposed to be an only child. she had a twin sister who died at birth. sometimes she sees her twin in the most unexpected of times. it’s been like this ever since she was 5. saika didn’t know if it was just a fragment of her imagination, or if it’s the devastating loss of a sibling, or if she’s genuinely seeing a ghost. nonetheless, she doesn’t let it bother her. in fact, her twin’s company is something she enjoys. the house can get really lonely when the days are dark. (her twin acts as some sort of guidance/consciousness for her).

personality:
   ❀ saika––or preferably sai––is what you call a hopeless romantic, a dreamer. though any knowledge of love came from movies and her pile of romance novels. due to her parents’ strict rules that forces to cut ties from the social world, you’d find her daydreaming every second of the day about things like being whisked away by her prince charming. all this girl dreams is to be in love. that love is all pretty things and rainbows, which makes her naive. she doesn’t even have that much––if not any––experience in the world beyond the walls of her house, to begin with. but come to think of it, the only reason why she’s still not in love is because she doesn’t know that many guys––doesn’t know that many people in general. i can assure you, the second she lays eyes on a handsome stranger and feels butterflies in her stomach, the girl would probably think that’s love. which is all. kinds. of. naive. (and maybe a little desperate). but in all honestly she’s just clueless. what this girl needs is a big slap of reality and realize that the world is not all sunshine and clear skies. saika is somewhat complicated. due to her being sheltered almost most of her life, saika is very fainthearted but at the same time longs for something new and thrilling. yet i can assure you that all this girl needs is a little push and a hand to guide her along the way. but looking past all of that, saika is very mature for her age. she knows how to handle herself and is very persistent with her opinions. oddly enough saika is actually pretty brave, but this might because she hasn’t been exposed to the cruelty of the world enough, so she doesn’t really know what to fear.

personality:
  ❀ there’s only one word that can describe what he feels most of the time: bored. really, it’s like this guy has no purpose in life other than sit around and look at the sky. he genuinely acts like he doesn’t care about anything—or anyone. it’s hard to catch his interest and he rarely bothers trying to, it’s easier for him to not care at all. so when someone does, that person must be something else. knows his stuff well and can always surprise you with how much he knows.  he’s always up for a good fun, but the thrill doesn’t last long enough for he is always. so. bored. bored of the same people, the same neighborhood, he’s tired of life and what it offers and how that’s not enough.

how did they meet:
  ❀ they met on a sunday morning during church (he’s not the religious type, but goes because it makes him feel better about all of the reckless things he’s done). she ended up sitting next to him throughout the whole thing. when it had ended and he got up to leave, saika noticed he dropped his found and went to go return it to him.

interactions:
  ❀ beginning: saika is intrigued by him. there is something about the way he carries himself that has her feeling some type of way. that morning after church is the first time she talked to him. he doesn’t show much interest toward her but didn’t act all ignorant either.
  ❀ middle: they keep running into each other on the rare occasions that saika is allowed to be out. they start to talk more, exchanged details about their personal lives. saika even begins to sneak out of the house just so she could see him.
  ❀ end: it’s obvious that she feels like she is in love with him even if the feeling is not fully mutual. she begins going through extreme measures just so she can go out and see him. she begins to rebel, and it’s come quite a shock to her and her parents because she’s always been obedient even when she doesn’t want to. as for him, he’s still confused if he actually likes her or if he just cares for her deeply as a friend.
