[21:48] Kelly takes out the chunks of copper ore from his backpack, and sits them on the ground in front of him. Metal is in the rocks all around, even in tiny, trace amounts, so perhaps Metal magic is just a more refined, specialized form of it? The young man begins to tap into his abilities as an Earth magus, attempting to focus not on the entire hunk of ore itself, but rather, the copper contained within... He has very little luck, only able to manipulate the chunk as one solid mass, causing it to crack, and eventually, crumble. He then moves onto his second piece, results looking a bit more optimistic than before - a tiny "spike" of copper is drawn out of the ore, not enough to move onto techniques with, but still, it's better than nothing. He continues using his Earth magic to prod and probe at it, glancing over to Gunnhildr, to see how she's doing.

[22:25] The young Ookami would remove her very own set of copper ore. The young woman closing her eyes to help focus on her abilities to manipulate the earth. An arm would be stretched outwards. She would slowly attempt to manipulate the single lump of copper. A strong attempt if she wanted to better master this ability.

A small presence of mana would be felt at her fingertips as she would attempt to move the piece of the copper itself. A breath was taken as she concentrated on simply manipulating the position of the physical metal.

However, the metal would not move a single bit, remaining in the unchanged state it was before, unfazed by the attempt that the Ookami would try to move the physical material. It was an unfortunate feeling.

However, the Ookami would not relent. And would try something different. She would remove her shoes in order to maintain a stronger connection towards the ground. Feeling its presence more than usual.

She would touch the piece of copper, feel the physical texture of the copper ore. And would attempt to further understand what she was dealing with. And hopefully attempt what she was trying to do once more...

This process had opened her mind quite a bit. As she had closed her eyes the Ookami could feel the impurities of the metal within her hand. And understood that metal, was just a processed form of earth.

With that, she places the Copper on the ground once more, using her mana to try and sense more than just the texture of the ore.

[22:36] Kelly observes his training partner's attempts at manipulating the chunk of ore before her, nodding quietly to himself... It seems as though Gunn was having a slightly harder time in manipulating the metal hidden within, however, he doesn't speak up, or offer what little advice he could. The woman seemed to be a much more hands-on learner than him, so, leaving her to her own devices seemed to be the best bet. He turns his attention back to his own chunk of ore, holding onto it with his hands. He imitates his partner's approach in regards to mana utilization: Instead of his typical, clumsier manner, channeling it all through his hands, he instead only channels it through his fingertips, increasing the power he can expel expontentially. With this new knowledge, his efforts in metallic manipulation are more successful than before - the process is slow, but sure enough, he makes more and more small copper 'spikes' draw themselves out from the ore, further marking his progress in regards to the bare basics.

[23:28] As the other man beside her had gotten more successful with his ability to bend the copper, the young Ookami would take a much slower approach to the process. Gunnhildr would complete this start however long it would take her.

Hours have passed, but the young Ookami and through instilling her mana through the connection of the ground, the young Ookami would slowly proceed to detect the fragmentations of earth, within the copper.

And through careful focus, the young Ookami would direct all her focus, into simply moving the copper forward. And with that, the young Ookami would outstretch her hand once more. And sensing through focusing her efforts on the fragmentations of copper, she would use her mana to attempt to push the rock forward once more.

Her heart would go restless, as she didn't want to leave without showing that she could move the physical piece of matter before her. She would not relent until she had at least known that she was able to manipulate the rock before her..

Minutes have passed, and things were starting to look bleak for the Ookami warrior. She was determined, and equally as stubborn to get this manipulation correctly. She had all the time in the world after all.

And as the time had passed one moment would catch her off guard.
As she had felt the copper lump Vibrate intensely. Slowly inching itself away from the caster as she had focused pushing the fragments rather than simply attempting to push the rocks.

"Progress. Finally."

She would utter, as she was able to manipulate the pieces that resided within. She had learned something new.

"So metal and Earth may seem like two elements... But they act as one. I just need more practice."

She would say. As the progress was reassuring for the young Ookami, But even she knew that this was only the beginning of her efforts.
