- [23:38] "Today, we're simply going to give you some Earth Theory on why Earth Magic exists, as well as some simple practice with it."
- Declan smiled as he said that, and at the very second, Declan speeds over to the mountain next to them, pushing his hand into it and forcing it into a fist.
- First, the Earth quaked, then the mountain started to form into that of a simple, bold text that says 'Class in Session'. Retracting his hand, he would show it to the children and they would see nothing bad happened to his hand, however.
- "Don't try this, you guys are not Earth Magi or had many, many years of using it. It will hurt you in the long run and maybe even cripple your usage of spells," he says, putting his hand down after and smiling.
- "So, anyone want to tell me why we have Earth Magic?"
- (Declan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:41] Earth Theory..
- Epic.
- Watching as he terraformed the earth with relative ease, he's.. impressed!
- "..Ohhh.. So cool..." He smiles.
- "Earth magic is so we can shape the world how we want!" He exclaims simply.
- (Percival Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:42] A slight squak as the drakanite flapped their wings in suprise. Kicking up a bit of debre while they simply looked a bit..stunned. It was a bit..reckless? Maybe but all in all the boy had no idea why Earth magi were a thing so they stayed relativly silent.
- Choosing instead however to think of a reason as to why Earth magic existed in the first place.
- "Uhm..To help grow things?"He gave it his best shot after all..
- (Skye Roberts)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:44] Sima's eyes remain squinted as Declan punches the cliff's wall before promptly writing into it. What the heck. Truth be told the young Kang didn't know whether to clap or remain in silent awe.
- He elected the latter.
- Those gears in his head begin to grind to a slow pace. His eyes dart about in search of an answer or at least a semblance of one. Well, they had certain magics for a reason right?
- "Because we use earth magic to uh... Protect ourselves? Create walls of stone?" It's an uncertain answer, but they were learning after all.
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:49] "These are all valid answers," Declan says as he lifted his hand over to the tree next to them, rubbing it gently, "Earth magic is used to shape the world into how we want, to help things have a platform to grow, and yes, protect ourselves."
- After rubbing the tree for a second, he turned over to the kids, focusing his mana into his feet and mesmerizing something of a chair. After a second of thought, he taps the ground with his right with vigor, and out from beneath them were simple stumps of Earth that could act like a chair.
- It could be a little uncomfortable, but if they sat with their legs crossed like proper Genin, they would be relatively fine and comfortable.
- "I believe that Kraus created Eternia with the help of Earth Magic, Water Magic, Wind Magic, and Fire Magic. All four of these magics play a part in your every day life and is utilized by magi from all nations and settlements.
- Earth, in my opinion, is th emost important, because without it, we wouldn't be able to see a waterfall, or see a tree, or even see a mountain. It would be simple water...and who the heck would want to swim for the rest of their life?" Declan shrugged his shoulders as he forced a simple stool of Earth to rst his bottom.
- "Gehennians believe the giants gave humans the gift of Earth Magic, so take that as you will.....now," Declan raised his hand over his lap.
- "What is needed to utilize Earth Magic?"
- (Declan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:53] Ever constant flapping. If he used dancing to untilize wind magic..would that mean that consentration would be needed for earth magic? Truely uncertain before they simply blurted out an answer.
- "Uhm..F-focus and a feel for the world around you? Like uhm...feeling the ground or something.." the boy finally stopped flapping his wings before sitting on the grass next to the siblings. Wings folding up and simply..ceasing to exist for the time being.
- (Skye Roberts)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:54] Listening to his words, Percival seems.. intrigued! Maybe more than the others as Declan speaks.
- Earth was the foundations of the world. It stood above all. Stronger than Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos.. was Geodude. It made up the world they stood on, it made up their being.
- "..For earth magic, you need.."
- …
- …
- …
- …
- …
- …
- "..Rocks!"
- (Percival Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [23:55] This. This was a lot to take in. Not to mention the sudden introduction of rocky chairs beneath them partially threw him off balance. Sima grabbed the seat as it rose up, letting his legs dangle off its edge.
- At the notion of swimming forever his nose scrunches up. Was that necessarily a bad thing?.. However, a question had been posed! Thus the young Kang went back to the painstaking process of thinking... Boy was he slow.
- "Y-yeah! Rocks and earth uhm… Mana too, obviously." He'd giggle to himself, continuing on. "Maybeeee… A solid spot to stand on?"
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:00] "Ah, all valid answers but not quite the one I wanted.
- Mana is of course needed, everything in the world of magic, mana is needed.
- Rocks, of course you need rocks.
- You don't need to really feel for the world around you, but it helps." Declan smiled at them all, closing his eyes after.
- "What you need for Earth, is the spirit to never be pushed back, never surrender, to keep pushing no matter how much pressure is forcing you to change, the will to never give up.
- Just like Kraus never gave up until Eternia was created, just like Kraus never gave up until Azrael was sealed - you, the users of the Earth Magic need to be able to sustain all sorts of things, to never falter, and to carry on. The attitude to keep pushing and be solid, like Earth."
- With those words, Declan took a deep breath as he focuses the rocks around him to shape into his person, making a layer of armor for a few seconds, only to let that rock fall off and go back into it's place on the mountain, almost like it never left.
- "Of course, Earth is nothing without mana and practice. Every person must start off from something. I started off with simply lifting a single piece of Rock off of the wall before I could cause simple Earth Quakes. I learned how to lift a boulder before I could erect a wall of Earth.
- You just need a solid foundation, and guess what children?"
- He looks around, lifting his hands and waving them around.
- "An Earth Magi's greated strength, is the Earth around him, and look, on a place full of Earth."
- (Declan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:07] Sima's head tilts ever so slightly to the side at that notion. Never giving in was something that rooted deep within the young Kang, but perhaps it was a variation of such a decree.
- To have one's element around them was... Inspiring, comforting even. The blue-haired magi held a soft smile as he peered up towards the stars. Even if it wasn't his element yet he'd get there in time. Heck, the winds and waters were always about him if he tried hard enough.
- He'd peer back towards their teacher, however. "So... Magic is like a big ol' extension of ourselves then? That makes... A lot more sense actually!" He'd grin from ear to ear, chiming in.
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:10] Percy listens closely as he had done before. Then he looks at his brother and Skye with.. a smile!
- "This is so cool.." He whispers quietly.
- "You need to be the earth!" He exclaims. In the same heartbeat, the boy throws himself to the ground and spreads out his arms to become one with the earth.
- (Percival Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:12] Emotions? That was..a new spin on it actually. Earth magi were really something then if they're able to shift the world. Maybe he could finally ask his question..
- ""Uhm..W-what about uh..n-no nevermind!" Forget asking his question, his nerves got the better of him in the end!
- (Skye Roberts)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:13] Declan says, "You can ask right now, Skye."
- [00:13] Declan says, "But ask quickly."
- [00:14] Skye Roberts says, "Uhm..Its stupid lets j-just move on."
- [00:14] Declan says, "No, no."
- [00:14] Declan says, "Go ahead."
- [00:14] Declan says, "Ask."
- [00:14] Skye Roberts says, "Uhm.."
- [00:14] Skye Roberts whispers something.
- [00:14] Sima looks at his brother, giggling, and then Skye.
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:14] Declan says, "..."
- [00:14] Sima Kang whispers: What is it?
- [00:14] Declan says, "A s k."
- [00:15] Skye Roberts whispers something.
- [00:15] Skye Roberts says, "L-look Sima's gonna ask it okay."
- [00:15] Declan says, "..ok"
- [00:15] Sima Kang exclaims, "Skye wants to know how crystal magic would be made then!"
- [00:15] Declan says, "..."
- [00:15] Declan says, "Easy, let me explain."
- [00:15] Percival Kang says, "gay earth"
- [00:16] Declan says, "yeah literally be a faggot and utilize energy and earth"
- [00:16] Sima promptly plops forth into the earth like his younger brother. One with the earth.
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:16] Percival Kang exclaims, "You know- Great grandpa Sima used earth magic!"
- [00:16] Skye Roberts says, "..."
- [00:16] Sima Kang says, "Did he?.."
- [00:16] Skye Roberts asks, "Gay...earth?"
- [00:17] Skye Roberts asks, "Like Delcan?"
- [00:19] "Crystals come from the Earth, however, in order to manipulate magical crystals like great magi like Ahmir do, you need to harden it and make it beautiful.
- Some theorize that Crystal magic and Earth magic take something from the stars to make it that much better, but Crystal and Earth or are the same tree, however, Crystal is much more potent than Earth. However, utilizing the Ether can also be of use. Take it as you will."
- With that he simply gets up off the 'stool' and goes to the mountain, taking three pieces of the mountain and handing a single piece to each one of his students.
- It wasn't heavy, but it was as light as a pebble.
- "Remember when I said the people have to start from something? Tonight, we will see who can embody the will to never give up, and if it comes to it, to break the Earth itself. Your assignment, is to crack that rock in half with your sheer mana.
- A simple novice would be able to do it within a week. However, those who embody the will to never give up can break it in a day.
- But who can do it?"
- (Declan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:20] Declan says, "Who able -is- capable of doing this, is an Earth Magi or CRYSTAL Magi in training."
- [00:20] Skye Roberts asks, "S-so being a wind magi..I shouldnt be able to do this?"
- [00:21] Declan says, "Who knows, Skye, maybe you are a crystal magi variant."
- [00:21] Declan says, "And it just waiting to come out."
- [00:21] Skye Roberts says, "Hmm...M-maybe."
- [00:24] Percival takes the rock as it's given to him, the boy listening to Declan's lesson. This was the time of his life. He was literally so excited by it!
- "..Okay.." He speaks, holding the rock in his hands.
- "..Split!" He said. He then tried to split it in half like an apple. It does, instead, cut into two very uneven pieces before simply crumbling.
- "..Wow! I did it!"
- (Percival Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:25] Saba says, "Hey Declan, bye Declan."
- [00:25] Declan says, "..."
- [00:27] Oh, neat, a stone tablet. Sima blinks twice at the procured bit of earth now held between his two hands, climbing back up into the chair. Scrunching up his nose he'd press it between his palms. Surely he could just... Will forth something in it, right?
- The young Kang's face continues to scrunch on up as he pulls in moisture from their surroundings. He'd mutter to himself, "Just a liiiitle bit of water..." Its surface becomes all the more wet before an eventual splick resounds within it. A crack formed by pressure and weathering!
- He's beaming with pride, even more so as he looks over towards his younger brother's attempt. It was so effortless from the looks of things! "Good job Percy! I uhm… I got a little bit in it."
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:29] Focusing the mana into a rock? That..shouldnt be to hard right? Even so, as the boy fought to get comfortable on the ground and scooted a bit away from his friends he started a rather..cruid channeling of his mana.
- Even letting a bit of the wind flow around him, even if it turned a very unnatural pink while the boy poured mana into the rock. Face scrunching up as they tried to crack it, but all they really managed to do was instead of cracking it, made it really smooth. Almost like a marble..
- "Well..G-guess I'm not an earth magi heh..C-congrats to both of you though!"
- (Skye Roberts)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:34] Declan moved from left to right properly, looking at them all as he individually looks down at their efforts.
- Starting with Percy. "You're an Earth Magi alright, when I was your age, I wasn't even able to do that, I could make a crack and that was it - maybe you're better than me and don't know it yet.
- Congrats, Earth Magi."
- Now, it was Sima, he saw the wetness coming, and even saw that it kind of cracked it. "You're not really an Earth Magi, but you have the will of one. Your power of Water, which is fluid and free to a degree was more than capable of making such a crack.
- You may be the next, greatest water user known to man, and you just don't know it yet, good on you."
- Finally, Skye, bust instead he took the Rock and looks at it, feeling on it, and rubbing his greedy hands over it. It was no longer 'Earth', it was a Crystal.
- "My boy...my little boy...you didn't crack it, but you made it something even better. You made it beautiful, and you made it the most amazing thing in this life - Crystal. And they said wind couldn't amplify Earth...keep at it."
- After taking a step back, he taps the Earth and lets a grade come from them all with a simple letter for each.
- Percy got an A.
- Skye got a B+.
- And, Sima? C.
- "You all did well. Kraus says to keep practicing magic, but never the forbidden magic, or the divine. So keep praciticng, praciticng, praciticng. If you ever need help? I am around."
- (Declan)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:39] Well it definitely wasn't his element, but he was getting all the better at controlling water! Sima's bouncing up and down in his earthen seat as holds that tablet of his. He got... A C.
- That was good, right? Probably!
- "I'll do my best mister Declan! Uhm… Got a whoooole lot of practice to do with my aquamancy though. And aeromancy!" And cosmic, but the list could always go on for the young.
- "We'll keep practicing! I'm sure Percy's going to get suuuuper good at what he chooses to do. Thank you mister Declan!"
- (Sima Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:42] He..he had made a Crystal? That was great news! But..did he really make it good? All he ended up doing was smoothing the rock. It slightly agitated the drakanite to do better next time. Seemed they were hooked on it.
- "Mhm! I'll do better next time to make it evey shinier!" A firm nod from the boy while they seemingly dusted off the sugar coating on their jacket, so much for..cleaness.
- "Thanks mister Delcan!"
- (Skye Roberts)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [00:43] He WAS an earth magi!
- Wow!!
- "..Woo!" He exclaimed. The child was surely an earth magi.
- "I can break the rocks.." He says. He turns to Sima!
- "I can break the rocks! I'm earth magi! I'm not baby anymore! We have to go tell mom and dad!!"
- (Percival Kang)
