goes to war, whereas a defeated warrior goes to war first and seeks to
win". As an aspiring Kohai, and a student of the Mind, you will be
consistently challenged to puzzle your way out of conflicting,
precarious, and often dangerous situations. You will be challenged to
consider how best to succeed through the varying tribulations of
conflict. We must stack our assets to our advantage and keep a cool
mind, free of internal conflict when contemplating our opposition. You
must be fully versed in our History, and able to deliberate on the best

---Trial Requirements---

- Be able to locate and explain the purpose of each location listed in
HHELP KOHAIGEOGRAPHY.

- Sufficient understanding of our House History and significant events,
past and present

- Discuss the Ashuran Values and Creed. This can be submitted as an
Essay in a Letter or Post

- Completion of an additional Meditational

- Knowledge of the house hall of the Ashura - War Room, the library, the
temple, the bar, the Hatchery, the Bell Tower and the location of the
figurine of the Raven

Dragon. Having demonstrated some measure of courage and the capacity to
learn, you must now review again. You will need to look inwards and
learn now deeply, to draw ten thousand lessons from a single one - but
to know that one lesson well. A Kohai in this walk will now venture
further into hostile territory, gaining experience with fighting as a
member of a group, as well as tracking and eluding capture. As a student
of the Spirit, you will begin the walk into leadership, and thusly may
not be able to turn back, much as a dancing star cannot reverse its
birth back into discord. Be bold, brave, courageous, and mold your
spirit to become an unbreakable weapon, able to fight on when all else
falls to pieces.


---Trial Requirements---

- Level 70

- Recorded leadership in group conflict in and out of the arena. This
can be any manner of role, and should be noted to the current Gunsou or
Gunsou Aides via message. Leading a Raid or King of the Hill to success
are effective examples of this.

- Abilty to track a target, essentially hunting the person. The goal is
to reliably catch a moving individual through any means available

- Proven capacity to work as a member of the Ashura

- Completion of an additional Meditational

=Unity Meditational=

- Kohai are the largest force of activity in the House, and their
enthusiasm is infectious with the new troops. Kohai should lead at least
two Unity events. Deposit 1,500 gold into the Ashuran Account after your
Meditational has been approved.


=Respect Meditational=

- Sempai are expected to be competent assets and role models to the
other Ashurans, and may be expected to assist in leadership roles. As
such, the Respect Meditational requires Kohai to become an Aide for at
least two positions, be they in the City or the House. Mentorship may
also be considered as a substitute. Deposit 1,500 gold into the Ashuran
Account after your Meditational has been approved.


=Diligence Meditational=

- We must all work to acquire the knowledge to defeat our foes. Kohai
should begin seeking spars early on, and join the combat rankings. You
should spar or duel no less than eight other classes. You should record
these confrontations in a Journal, and discuss your strategies with the
current Gunsou. Rampage and FFA spars will be considered as well.

- Kohai should further involve themselves in events around the World,
and in the City. Be these Foozlings, Egghunts, or King of the Hills.

Kohai should partake in at least five events to complete this
Meditational. Deposit 1,500 gold into the Ashuran Account after your
Meditational has been approved.


=Competence Meditational=

- Kohai seeking advancement are required to be competent combatants. As
such, you must be deemed worthy by the current Daimyo of being a Walker
of the Path of the Jade Dragon

- Kohai will also be likely approached about particular tasks throughout
their training. The completion of these will be considered towards the
Meditational. Deposit 1,500 gold into the Ashuran Account after your
Meditational has been approved.



A note on Meditationals. I may be willing to accept alternative entries,
given a sufficient case.

Academy Graduates

Kohai who have completed all Trials and Meditationals will be titled
"Academy Graduate." Academy Graduates must be of CR2 and HR4 or above to

Graduates to be considered for Sempai should request an interview with
the Gunsou and should write a letter of application to the Archdragon,
and the Gunsou stating their goals and how they will serve the Ashura as
Sempai. Candidates should emphasise the Ashuran Ideals or Values in
their letter.
