- Been a while since I did one of these. The format is gonna be a bit different than previous ones, so for this one I want to focus on a specific: Tentative stream plans for the rest of the year
- First up, I want to talk about my schedule. For a while now, I've been trying to stream Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. There's a decent chance that I either drop Monday, add Saturday, both or neither. I like the weekend streams because I can stream for longer (though I've been bad at that lately), but I do need to make sure I don't spend too much on the stream. I have a lot of Saturday plans in the weeks coming up, so Saturday stream will be rare for the NEAR future, but I do think that's something I'd like to try doing
- Additionally, I'm thinking that Sundays would be better suited for longer, less competitive runs. Things like All Mega Stones or Blue 124, or other fun runs like that are exactly what I'm thinking. I'll probably start that this coming Sunday with All Mega Stones (purely because my Gamecube isn't setup), but there's a chance that it will be put off to the week after because of the next point:
- GDQ Submissions are open! I want to submit (in order of how I want them to be accepted): New Super Mario Bros. 2 No Secret Exits, Warpless and Any%; Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Any%; Pokemon Yellow Any% No Save Corruption; Pokemon Red/Blue Any% No Save Corruption. I have a submittable run for all of those (except the new Blue NSC which I'll do this week), but I may want to do a "submission style" video rather than just linking a PB, so we'll probably do that on stream. There's a CHANCE (like, maybe 20% chance) that I'll want to run and submit Blue Catch em All. That may be my plan for Friday (in which case my GC will be setup and maybe Blue 124 Sunday :thinking: ). If we do that, and if we get a decent time, and if we enjoy it, I may submit that as well. Lot's of maybes...
- After GDQ submissions, what are we going to do? Good question! My focus for the time being is to get sub 49:00 on NSMB2 Warpless and sub 1:00:00 on NSMB2 No Secret Exits, but I don't want to spend a ton of time on either. At the end of the month (or when I get those times, whatever comes first), I want to switch gears to one of three potential speedruns: Learning New Super Mario Bros. U Any%, learning Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Any% Glitchless, or Pokemon Blue Catch 'em All (if I do it this week and enjoy it). I'll go back to some of the runs you guys know me for (Red Glitchless, ORAS, etc), but this is the immediate future plan
- ALSO! Don't think I forgot about the 24 hour stream I was supposed to do yesterday and bailed on. I want to try and do that sometime in October, so stay tuned for that. Maybe the 8th? We'll see. Need to check my schedule and plan it out... Hopefully I'll be better prepared and in better health
- Last but not least, if you watch my stream from now to the future, you'll probably notice a "Sub Goal" on the layout. I want to start doing this rather than follower goals because followers are so easy to get now with the Twitch app changes. I also want to make sure these are up there in terms of difficulty so I don't hit them every other week like I was with the follower goals, so we may be stuck at a specific goal for a while (which is perfectly fine!). The result of hitting these goals will be some sort of big run or stream I've never done before (or maybe a 150 Solo run again?), so if you guys have any suggestions, please let me know! I'm thinking the first one will be a New Super Mario Bros. 2 100% Speedrun, without preparation. Unless there is some sort of scheduling conflict, I'll do whatever the special stream is on the first Sunday after the goal is met, and we'll start the new goal right away
- And that's all I got! Let me know what you guys think. The rest of the year should be pretty exciting :)
