[2012-03-24 21:13:09] <Calmswamp> You drive away from the wreckage of the former aeronautica field, a sinister brass glow being emitted from it as it fades into the distance. The ride is quiet, soothing even after the loud explosions and the miasma of dust and debris.
[2012-03-24 21:13:31] <Calmswamp> The road is somewhat long, but thankfully abandoned.
[2012-03-24 21:13:59] <Varamor> "Wheee!  The Blood God bless our slaughter!"
[2012-03-24 21:15:22] <Klightus> "Was a good battle. Wonder how long it'll be before they realized it was just six of us, eh?"
[2012-03-24 21:15:38] * Klightus looks back into the cabin and takes his eyes off the road for as few moments as possible to examine who's there.
[2012-03-24 21:16:05] <Calmswamp> Eventually, you hit a T-Intersection, to your left is a highway, to your right is a road that seemingly leads to nowhere. The cogitated map on the vehicle's dashboard show that your next objective would be straight ahead, through a patch of rocks.
[2012-03-24 21:16:38] * Agrippa begins to manicure his nails "I have to say, I have a really good feeling about this prison break. They should make a holovid of this."
[2012-03-24 21:16:58] <Calmswamp> You look back into the cabin to see Agrippa, Varamor, and the gaggle of slaaneshi servitors.
[2012-03-24 21:17:11] <Calmswamp> Titus is in the passenger seat with you.
[2012-03-24 21:17:20] <Klightus> "Huh. Others must be busy. They'll catch up."
[2012-03-24 21:17:33] <Klightus> " 'less the Imperials get them." He chuckles.
[2012-03-24 21:17:53] * Agrippa reclines, putting his feet up on one of the servitors "Easy now, Princess."
[2012-03-24 21:17:53] * Klightus looks at the map to see if either of the roads make their way to their objective.
[2012-03-24 21:18:00] <Varamor> "Indeed.  Now... do we head left or right and try to go around or forward?"
[2012-03-24 21:19:24] <Agrippa> "Left! Certainly left. Did you know when presented with a fork people choose right 80% of the time?"
[2012-03-24 21:19:34] <Agrippa> "A right turn would be certain death."
[2012-03-24 21:20:38] <Varamor> "It's decided then.  FORWARD YOU DOGS, TO VICTORY!"
[2012-03-24 21:20:57] * Klightus looks back at the cabin again. "Relax chilluns. Let me read this blasted map."
[2012-03-24 21:21:33] * Titus keeps an eye on the area around the vehicle, silently.
[2012-03-24 21:22:43] <Klightus> "Well... straight ahead it is. Shouldn't be too far to get to the next road and on our way. Any idea what our next objective IS?"
[2012-03-24 21:23:01] <Varamor> "More people to kill."
[2012-03-24 21:24:18] * Klightus pulls the vehicle off road and onto one of the barely-a-paths. He makes sure to try and keep an eye out for disturbed dirt indicating traps.
[2012-03-24 21:25:17] * Agrippa crosses his arms "Great, a bumpy road. Just what we needed."
[2012-03-24 21:29:24] * Klightus disregards complaints, acquires off-roading.
[2012-03-24 21:32:58] <Calmswamp> The tainted suspension of the vehicle proves once again to be quite formidable, making the bumpy ride controllable, and less bumpy than it could be.
[2012-03-24 21:33:49] <Calmswamp> You arrive at another road going left and right once more, although to your right you see a large building.
[2012-03-24 21:34:22] <Calmswamp> Even from this distance you can make out a symbol on the building, a large "I" with a squiggly mark in the middle of it.
[2012-03-24 21:34:30] * Klightus looks for a place that they could park behind that would block line of sight between them and the structure that is presumably their target.
[2012-03-24 21:34:57] <Klightus> "Funny looking letter that. Any ideas?"
[2012-03-24 21:35:42] <Agrippa> "Hmph. That wasn't so bad. A lot of....friction."
[2012-03-24 21:38:31] * Agrippa puts his hand behind his head "Oh ho. Maybe there are some bureaucrats there we can shake up."
[2012-03-24 21:38:32] * Klightus smacks his head.
[2012-03-24 21:38:34] <Agrippa> *hands
[2012-03-24 21:38:42] <Klightus> "Of course, must've been out cold longer'n I thought."
[2012-03-24 21:40:04] <Calmswamp> There's a rather large hedge that the Notmera could be hidden, but from it to the Administratum's main gates is quite a walk...with no cover.
[2012-03-24 21:40:29] <Calmswamp> There seems to be quite a commotion, clearly they've heard about the worldwide riots.
[2012-03-24 21:41:00] * Klightus drives slowly up the road. "You think we can pull the same ploy twice?"
[2012-03-24 21:41:08] <Klightus> "Claim we're soldiers here to secure the area?"
[2012-03-24 21:41:15] <Klightus> "Well, maybe not with this vehicle. Hrm."
[2012-03-24 21:43:12] <Klightus> "Any ideas?"
[2012-03-24 21:43:34] <Agrippa> "T'would be most dramatic just to crash into the lobby."
[2012-03-24 21:43:44] <Varamor> "Let me see."  He goes to try to get a look outside and see what the hell is going on.
[2012-03-24 21:43:47] * Titus looks over the area "Stealth is not required. They are panicking. A fast strike would tip the scales."
[2012-03-24 21:43:55] <Klightus> "Well sure, but what's the plan once we're in?"
[2012-03-24 21:44:22] <Varamor> "I kill everyone that's not us."
[2012-03-24 21:44:51] <Klightus> "What, adepts who can scarcely fight back?"
[2012-03-24 21:44:52] <Agrippa> "I stand by and wait for Varamor to kill everyone. Then start stealing information."
[2012-03-24 21:46:22] <Varamor> "I will ride this vehicle into battle and we shall make a slaughter of them!"
[2012-03-24 21:46:33] * Titus with a look of genuine surprise "The rift in the warp is strong here..."
[2012-03-24 21:46:35] * Klightus scoffs. "No glory in that."
[2012-03-24 21:46:39] <Klightus> "Eh?"
[2012-03-24 21:46:40] * Varamor goes to exit the Notmera to proceed with the riding.
[2012-03-24 21:46:49] * Klightus is still not driving very quickly.
[2012-03-24 21:47:09] * Titus looks over the area once more "You should drop me off slightly before the building. I must be able to do my work in peace."
[2012-03-24 21:47:46] <Klightus> "What are you going to do?"
[2012-03-24 21:48:45] <Titus> "Use the much stronger rift to perform my rituals."
[2012-03-24 21:49:07] <Agrippa> "I'm going to follow Varamor." He brushes a strand of hair from one of the servitor's brow "Wait for me, girls."
[2012-03-24 21:49:15] * Varamor climbs onto the Notmera.
[2012-03-24 21:49:43] <Calmswamp> The servitor stares at you with unblinking eyes. It's strangely sexy.
[2012-03-24 21:49:51] * Klightus places his head against the steering wheel as the other two court madness and dishonor.
[2012-03-24 21:50:14] <Klightus> "Alright Titus. It sounds like we're going through with this. You ever rolled out of a moving vehicle?"
[2012-03-24 21:51:04] <Titus> "I would prefer not to."
[2012-03-24 21:51:56] <Klightus> "First time for everything."
[2012-03-24 21:52:10] <Klightus> "It's easy, just duck, tuck in your head, and roll with it. You'll be fine, promise."
[2012-03-24 21:52:53] <Agrippa> "If you're worried scratching up your face, I have a mask you can borrow. You'll need to mind the zipper."
[2012-03-24 21:54:15] * Titus taps his helmet "I'll just have to make do..."
[2012-03-24 21:55:32] * Titus takes a deep breath, preparing himself
[2012-03-24 21:55:34] <Klightus> "Attaboy."
[2012-03-24 21:57:23] * Klightus punches it.
[2012-03-24 22:00:33] * Titus opens the door and times his leap from the vehicle, jumping out at the proper distance and rolling ultimately landing upright.
[2012-03-24 22:02:52] <Calmswamp> And punch it Klightus does. With a roar the Notmera jerks forward, Varamor surfing the roof of it with expert skill. Adepts and scribes scramble out of the way, a servo-skull shatters against the front, shards of metal glancing Varamor's armour. Titus rolls out of the vehicle, doing a few perfect rolls in the obviously-fake cool grass lawn.
[2012-03-24 22:03:26] <Calmswamp> The vehicle crashes through the front of the building bursting through tables, shelves, bodies and cogitators.
[2012-03-24 22:04:13] <Calmswamp> The sheer mass of /stuff/ in the way unbalances even the unholy might of the vehicle, causing it to corkscrew and fling Varamor into a wall, which cracks against his ceramite-enhanced mass.
[2012-03-24 22:04:39] <Calmswamp> The vehicle is flipped over, though barely damaged.
[2012-03-24 22:08:00] <Calmswamp> What scribes that were not crushed by the vehicle, Varamor's girth, or the bookcase dominoes are scrambling, cowering, and other panicked actions.
[2012-03-24 22:08:18] * Klightus sighs, glad he buckled his safety belt
[2012-03-24 22:08:23] * Varamor cracks his neck and stacks, flexing his claw.  "TIME TO DIE, WORMS!"
[2012-03-24 22:08:40] * Klightus undoes it and starts making his way towards the back hatch and gathering the tainted servitors to flip it /back/ over, for the second time that day.
[2012-03-24 22:09:14] <Calmswamp> The servitors do so, and spend time fixing many of the scratches and dents left by your dynamic entry.
[2012-03-24 22:10:18] * Agrippa crawls out of the Notmera grumbling angrily under his breath. "Yea, worms! I'm with that guy!"
[2012-03-24 22:10:20] * Klightus ignores anyone who isn't overtly threatening. No points in wasting time.
[2012-03-24 22:10:59] <Calmswamp> There are no guards, guardsmen, or really any combatants in sight.
[2012-03-24 22:11:19] <Calmswamp> Just a mass of panicking administratum clerks.
[2012-03-24 22:12:03] * Klightus ignores them and continues helping the servitors flip the notmera.
[2012-03-24 22:12:18] * Varamor laughs and immediate charges into the mass, pulling forth his power sword for double the slaughtering fun!
[2012-03-24 22:12:52] <Agrippa> "Agrippa the Great, spread the word plebians!" He hoist his las carbine with a dramatic flair and begins firing burst into the crowd leisurely.
[2012-03-24 22:13:40] * Klightus carries on with the flipping.
[2012-03-24 22:13:52] <Calmswamp> The Notmera is flipped.
[2012-03-24 22:14:57] * Klightus nods satisfactorily and heads back into the notmera to retrieve his weapons in the off chance anything other than random slaughter happens. He also looks for a cogitator that is still powered and intact in the immediate area in case it has anything interesting on it.
[2012-03-24 22:16:09] <Calmswamp> You pull up the cogitator, the monitor flickers slightly.
[2012-03-24 22:16:45] <Calmswamp> ++WELCOME TO THE HAMMER'S LANDING ADMINISTRATUM DATABANK SERVICE DMengle73!++
[2012-03-24 22:16:51] <Varamor> "FORE!" He sends a head flying.
[2012-03-24 22:16:59] * Klightus hits a few appropriate keys to see if anything catches his eye.
[2012-03-24 22:18:43] <Calmswamp> You scan the text, as it is, and note that this hold Departmento Munitorum and Estate Imperium offices.
[2012-03-24 22:18:54] * Agrippa takes a shot at the head, but doesn't hit the mark. "Ah, damn. I'll get the next one."
[2012-03-24 22:18:55] <Calmswamp> As well as one office that's been redacted.
[2012-03-24 22:19:27] <Calmswamp> There's apparently an Officio Medicae office elsewhere in the area.
[2012-03-24 22:19:28] * Agrippa peeks over Klightus's shoulder "Hey, is that a cogitator? What's it say?"
[2012-03-24 22:19:31] * Klightus raises an eyebrow. "Varamor, Agrippa, keep an eye out for any rich minglers. One of them might have a hero complex or think his office is worth more than his life."
[2012-03-24 22:20:22] * Varamor is currently crushing some people underfoot, not listening.
[2012-03-24 22:20:57] * Klightus checks to see if there's any info on the redacted office, and for the location of the medicae office
[2012-03-24 22:22:16] <Calmswamp> The Medicae Offices are shown on a map which is not to dissimilar from your own map.
[2012-03-24 22:23:22] <Agrippa> "Oh yes! I'm heading there. I'm sure they'll have something I can use."
[2012-03-24 22:25:56] <Calmswamp> As if fulfilling a prophecy, a young man in a scribe's robe slams Agrippa in the back of the head with a chair leg.
[2012-03-24 22:28:04] * Klightus whirls around and clocks him.
[2012-03-24 22:30:58] * Agrippa stumbles forward and nearly falls to the ground, feeling the back of his head with his hand "Ugh, now my hair will be sticky" he groans as he flicks a spatter of blood from his fingers.
[2012-03-24 22:31:46] * Klightus punches him in the gut, hard, but with no intent to kill.
[2012-03-24 22:32:17] <Calmswamp> The man doubles over in pain, clutching his gut.
[2012-03-24 22:33:16] <Agrippa> "Ah, thank you Klightus. Could you hold him for me? I shan't kill him."
[2012-03-24 22:33:16] * Klightus nudges him all the way to the ground with a foot.
[2012-03-24 22:33:49] * Klightus kneels over him afterwards. "Are you Mengle?"
[2012-03-24 22:34:01] <Calmswamp> The man coughs, shaking his head.
[2012-03-24 22:34:17] <Klightus> "What's your name then?"
[2012-03-24 22:34:44] * Varamor hold up a disembodied head.  "So many skulls, so little time."
[2012-03-24 22:35:18] <Calmswamp> "W-Winston..."
[2012-03-24 22:35:51] <Klightus> "Alright Winston. I'll give you one thing, sneaking up on us? Clubbing my friend there over the head? That was pretty brave. You've got guts. I like that."
[2012-03-24 22:36:14] <Klightus> "So I'll cut you a deal."
[2012-03-24 22:36:39] <Klightus> "You answer any questions Agrippa has, and we'll leave you here for your corpse-worshippers to pick up, eh?"
[2012-03-24 22:37:11] <Agrippa> "Well fought, young Winston! I accept the outcome. That aggression felt good didn't it?" He mixes a few chemicals from his medkit and draws a syringeful of it.
[2012-03-24 22:37:34] * Klightus waves off the syringe. "Not now with that, we need him lucid."
[2012-03-24 22:37:53] * Varamor arranges the dead as everyone else has run off about now, and hangs the head upside down from the ceiling before disco dancing in the blood and gore.
[2012-03-24 22:38:03] <Agrippa> "This is a truth serum, don't worry."
[2012-03-24 22:38:11] <Calmswamp> Winston looks at you two, panicking.
[2012-03-24 22:38:20] <Calmswamp> His eyes dart, you can tell he's looking for a weapon.
[2012-03-24 22:38:54] * Klightus raises an eyebrow behind his visor. "Now, now, Winston."
[2012-03-24 22:38:55] <Agrippa> "Looking for something to kill us with? Good though. Let's explore that."
[2012-03-24 22:39:01] <Agrippa> *thought
[2012-03-24 22:39:44] * Klightus nods. "Right. Hold still then Winston."
[2012-03-24 22:39:48] * Klightus holds him down while Agrippa does his thing.
[2012-03-24 22:48:22] <Calmswamp> Using the ensuing mis-injection occurs, Winston manages to break free, and makes a dash to the shattered front windows.
[2012-03-24 22:48:32] * Varamor stops, snapping his Bolt Pistol straight up and fires at Winston
[2012-03-24 22:48:41] * Klightus roars in frustration.
[2012-03-24 22:48:52] * Klightus blinks rapidly and rubs his eyes.
[2012-03-24 22:49:45] <Calmswamp> The bolt misses, exploding the rockcrete at Winston's feet.
[2012-03-24 22:49:58] * Klightus swings to punch Agrippa in the face for his clumsiness.
[2012-03-24 22:50:09] <Varamor> "Run bitch, run."
[2012-03-24 22:50:38] * Klightus misses, the drugs taking effect.

[2012-03-24 22:51:10] <Klightus> "This doesn't feel like a blasted truth serum!"
[2012-03-24 22:51:17] <Varamor> "Right, up and at em.  Something's going on upstairs."

[2012-03-24 22:52:21] <Agrippa> "It's showing you the truth isn't it? Think fast!"
[2012-03-24 22:52:25] * Klightus continues swearing, distracted from Agrippa.
[2012-03-24 22:53:14] * Klightus bats at his hand, trying to hold it as far away from himself as possible.
[2012-03-24 22:56:05] * Klightus doesn't even notice Agrippa's bonk and continues batting at his hand.

[2012-03-24 22:56:46] * Agrippa give Klightus a nick on the cheek with his utility mechandrite "Aw, just ride it out. You'll be fine. Embrace the experience."

[2012-03-24 22:57:39] <Agrippa> He snaps his fingers twice at the servitors "Girls! Take care of him!"
[2012-03-24 22:57:53] * Agrippa runs off after Varamor "Hey wait for me!"
[2012-03-24 22:58:17] <Calmswamp> Two of the servitors hold onto Klightus, helping him walk.
[2012-03-24 22:58:30] * Klightus tries to shake the foul abominations off.
[2012-03-24 22:59:07] * Klightus fails to, but keeps trying anyway.

[2012-03-24 23:03:08] <Agrippa> "Hey, sounds like there is some shooting going on upstairs. We should take this bad boy up and check it out."
[2012-03-24 23:04:00] <Varamor> "It's why I entered."
[2012-03-24 23:04:02] * Klightus shakes his head. "N... bees... can't shoot."
[2012-03-24 23:04:07] * Varamor exits, stage up?
[2012-03-24 23:05:06] <Agrippa> On the ridge, Agrippa elbows Vara's bulky ceramite frame "Varamor. Hey, Varamor. I accidentally got Klightus stoned. I think he likes it."
[2012-03-24 23:05:30] <Calmswamp> You waltz into the lift, all 5 of you
[2012-03-24 23:05:37] <Calmswamp> There are 10 floors
[2012-03-24 23:05:40] * Agrippa raises his medicae mechandrite "Want a bump, Vara?"
[2012-03-24 23:06:04] * Klightus keeps shaking his head.
[2012-03-24 23:06:12] <Varamor> "I think I shall pass... the last time... was... enough."
[2012-03-24 23:06:18] <Klightus> "Dul... brig... nonono."
[2012-03-24 23:06:31] <Calmswamp> The lift does not know which floor you want
[2012-03-24 23:06:42] <Calmswamp> It is not a psyker
[2012-03-24 23:06:52] <Agrippa> "I think Klightus wants to go to the sixth floor."
[2012-03-24 23:07:58] * Agrippa presses the button.
[2012-03-24 23:09:02] <Calmswamp> The lift lurches up, stopping at the 6th floor.
[2012-03-24 23:09:23] <Klightus> "N...d... d'tox."
[2012-03-24 23:09:31] * Klightus is slurring.
[2012-03-24 23:09:33] * Klightus tries again
[2012-03-24 23:09:41] <Klightus> "De-tox."
[2012-03-24 23:09:48] <Calmswamp> You can smell what's like a combination of vomit, blood, and shit in the area, and you hear a buzzing noise from above.
[2012-03-24 23:10:00] * Klightus starts trying to bat his hand again.
[2012-03-24 23:10:27] <Agrippa> "De-tox? Are you sure? Not having fun?"
[2012-03-24 23:10:43] * Klightus mumbles something to the effect of sure.
[2012-03-24 23:11:37] <Calmswamp> You can hear muffled talking from up above.
[2012-03-24 23:13:01] * Varamor pushes 7
[2012-03-24 23:13:17] * Agrippa replaces the syringe on the mechandrite with a dose of detox "Turn your head and cough." he says, injecting him.
[2012-03-24 23:13:56] * Klightus 's head rolls to the side and he coughs.
[2012-03-24 23:14:49] <Agrippa> "That's hot, that's hot. Alright, you'll be fine. Look sharp! That gunfire and death-smell was no hallucination."
[2012-03-24 23:16:29] * Klightus blanches and rips the mouth part of the visor from his face to clear the way.
[2012-03-24 23:16:36] * Klightus goes to vomit in a corner.
[2012-03-24 23:16:37] <Calmswamp> The lift goes up, and the smell gets stronger.
[2012-03-24 23:16:51] <Calmswamp> The stench goes through any filtration you may have.
[2012-03-24 23:17:02] <Calmswamp> The lift reaches floor 7, and it dings.
[2012-03-24 23:17:31] <Agrippa> "You'll have to try it again later when we're done escaping. We can put up a bunch of blacklight posters in the back of the Notmera and see where it takes us."
[2012-03-24 23:17:36] * Varamor puts himself before the other two.  First out into the bloodbath, first to kill."
[2012-03-24 23:18:15] * Klightus stops about 20 seconds later.
[2012-03-24 23:18:28] <Klightus> "No. Never again. You aren't allowed near me with a needle."
[2012-03-24 23:19:52] * Agrippa scoffs "You should be more open to new experiences. Your call though. You want to be second into the bloodbath?"
[2012-03-24 23:20:45] * Klightus wipes his mouth with a gloved hand and fits the respirator into place.
[2012-03-24 23:20:45] <Calmswamp> The lift doors open, just in time to see a familiar sight stab a masked man in the back with his sword, causing him to emit a scream of pain. The area is in a haze of green and black, as flies and a foul miasma coat the air.
[2012-03-24 23:21:10] <Varamor> "... you STOLE MY KILL!"
[2012-03-24 23:21:23] <Calmswamp> There's another man next to the first one and Titus, stunned by this surprise attack.
[2012-03-24 23:23:08] <Agrippa> "Take a whiff of the air. Oh, I know that smell. You picked Nurgle for this one didn't you?"
[2012-03-24 23:24:05] <Titus> "The Lord of Decay has claimed this area."
[2012-03-24 23:24:16] <Varamor> "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"
[2012-03-24 23:25:21] * Klightus displeased by the recent run in with narcotics, doesn't waste any time. His boltgun is out in a flash and he fires at the foe that isn't engaged with Titus.
[2012-03-24 23:25:57] <Agrippa> Inclines his head back to the two servitors that were carrying Klightus "When we've left the elevatus, head back to the Notmera."
[2012-03-24 23:28:51] <Calmswamp> The man is torn apart like tissue paper as the bolts explode in him, leaving him a pile of rapidly-decaying pulp.
[2012-03-24 23:30:19] * Klightus shakes his head to clear it, contented by the pulping.
[2012-03-24 23:31:26] <Calmswamp> The second man, now aware of Titus, barely weaves the second attack from his blade.
[2012-03-24 23:34:37] * Agrippa brandishes his axe and squeezes by Varamor's bulk "Haha, I'm gonna kill-steal too!" He attacks the man with a horizontal sweep and is off the mark "Oops. Spoke too soon."
[2012-03-24 23:37:20] * Varamor merely takes two steps and his claw flashes out, rending the man into little bits.
[2012-03-24 23:37:40] <Varamor> Well, his arms anyways
[2012-03-24 23:37:56] <Calmswamp> The man falls, screaming as you disarmed him.
[2012-03-24 23:38:15] <Calmswamp> His skin quickly falls off, already rotting away unnaturally quickly.
[2012-03-24 23:38:41] <Calmswamp> their weapons, unused, clatter to the ground
[2012-03-24 23:38:53] <Calmswamp> They quickly rust from the influence of the warp.
[2012-03-24 23:39:02] * Klightus shifts the bolter to face Titus. "How'd you get up here so fast?"
[2012-03-24 23:39:15] <Titus> "Very carefully."
[2012-03-24 23:39:40] <Agrippa> "Good job, team. Really cracking work. This job was killing them slowly anyways."
[2012-03-24 23:42:30] * Titus heads towards the lift "I have unfinished business. We should not wait here while the Lord of Decay works."
[2012-03-24 23:43:33] * Klightus tilts his head.
[2012-03-24 23:43:34] <Agrippa> "Good thinking! I'd hate to lose my youthful glow." Agrippa takes a few steps backward in the elevatus.
[2012-03-24 23:43:36] <Klightus> "Runner on this floor."
[2012-03-24 23:43:44] <Klightus> "Probably not worth our time."
[2012-03-24 23:44:24] * Titus leaves the lift "What? Where?"
[2012-03-24 23:45:23] * Klightus shrugs, and looks sharply at Varamor wasting ammo.

[2012-03-24 23:47:33] <Klightus> "Fine. We'll get you some nice robes when we're /off/ this world, my treat."

[2012-03-24 23:48:40] * Varamor frowns at the living guy and pressings the ground floor button after getting on the elevatus after these silly nignogs.
[2012-03-24 23:48:59] * Klightus stands in the elevatus. "Me not knocking your lights out for that slip earlier."
[2012-03-24 23:49:44] * Agrippa shrugs "Should have held him still."
[2012-03-24 23:49:45] <Calmswamp> The elevatus goes down, down down, until you're back in the mayhem of the main lobby.
[2012-03-24 23:51:03] * Klightus heads to the notmera and clears the inside of hazards before getting back in the driver's seat.
[2012-03-24 23:52:48] * Agrippa embarks one the vehicle and sets to work treating his own wounds.

[2012-03-24 23:53:46] * Titus enters the vehicle after securing a robe of decent repair and sets to cleaning and sewing up patches as needed

[2012-03-24 23:57:07] <Calmswamp> It's hard to clean the robe without water or chemicals, as is hard to sew up the patches without the supplies.
[2012-03-24 23:57:48] * Klightus tops off his bolter magazine while the others do their personal care.
[2012-03-24 23:58:06] * Agrippa shrugs "Guess not."
[2012-03-24 23:59:52] <Calmswamp> As you get settled in, thankfully the roar of panicking has lessened. but you see a few scribes outside falling, as well as a thumpthumpthumping coming from upstairs.
[2012-03-25 00:00:03] <Calmswamp> Clearly something is shooting runners.
[2012-03-25 00:00:26] <Klightus> "Must be our friend."
[2012-03-25 00:00:31] * Klightus shrugs. "Shall we?"

[2012-03-25 00:03:06] <Klightus> "Right. To the next point!"
[2012-03-25 00:03:22] * Klightus drops it into gear and gets rolling, after making sure the back hatch is closed.
[2012-03-25 00:03:49] <Klightus> "Probably best not to stick your head out for a while with that man shooting."
[2012-03-25 00:04:25] <Calmswamp> You drive back out into the fresh (burning) air, the sun having nearly set as the lights get dimmer and dimmer.
[2012-03-25 00:06:15] <Calmswamp> Valkyries and VTOL aircraft can be seen in the sky better now, seeing as they emit beams of light, providing fire support and light for ground forces.
[2012-03-25 00:06:39] <Varamor> "Significantly less of them."
[2012-03-25 00:07:16] <Klightus> "Not liking those."
[2012-03-25 00:07:27] <Calmswamp> You carry on to your next objective, a few bullets pinging off of your vehicle,  the west is a beacon in the darkness, lights and Valkyries swarming it like bees around a hive.
[2012-03-25 00:09:46] <Calmswamp> A few bright lights in the air flash as flaming fighter-jets begin to fill the air from the south. Despite being on fire, they still function, and shoot down a few Valkyries.
[2012-03-25 00:09:50] <Klightus> "Fortunately when the sun is down we'll be hidden."
[2012-03-25 00:10:27] <Klightus> "My helm's got systems for night vision, so I'll be able to drive fine. 'less those valks've been upgraded since I left the guard, they won't be seeing us very easy."
[2012-03-25 00:11:37] <Calmswamp> You reach your destination. Which looks like a large facility which would store an array of some sort.
[2012-03-25 00:11:41] <Calmswamp> It's eerily abandoned.
[2012-03-25 00:11:50] * Agrippa marvels up at the dogfighting going on above them with his mouth agape "Quite a spectacle!"
[2012-03-25 00:12:27] * Klightus drives a circle around the place.
[2012-03-25 00:12:57] <Calmswamp> No one's there. Guard posts are empty. The parking lot is devoid of groundcars.
[2012-03-25 00:13:07] <Calmswamp> Hell, even the lights are off.
[2012-03-25 00:13:20] <Calmswamp> It wasn't hastily left, it was ordered.
[2012-03-25 00:13:36] <Agrippa> "That's...foreboding. Shall we explore it?" Agrippa asks.
[2012-03-25 00:13:37] * Klightus activates his preysense systems to see if anything looks unusually warm.
[2012-03-25 00:13:53] <Calmswamp> Nothing.
[2012-03-25 00:13:58] <Varamor> "One moment.  Titus, what does your... senses tell you?"
[2012-03-25 00:14:08] * Klightus continues making slow laps while they discuss.
[2012-03-25 00:14:25] * Titus meditates for a moment
[2012-03-25 00:16:18] <Titus> "There is...something in there that is affecting the warp. Not a rift like the others but some presence is affecting the warp in the building."
[2012-03-25 00:17:21] <Agrippa> "Will it interfere with our escape?"
[2012-03-25 00:17:27] <Varamor> "... well.... we were suppose to make a bloodshed here... could they have gotten... wise to our works and sent an Imperial Psyker?"
[2012-03-25 00:17:48] <Titus> "No this is different."
[2012-03-25 00:18:08] <Titus> "I must investigate."
[2012-03-25 00:18:12] <Varamor> "I hate different."
[2012-03-25 00:18:31] <Varamor> "Fine, but if you get turned into a gibbering mass... I'm going to point and laugh."
[2012-03-25 00:18:49] <Klightus> "Alright."
[2012-03-25 00:19:03] * Varamor exits Notmera.
[2012-03-25 00:19:05] * Klightus pulls up near to the building, and backs up so that rear hatch is facing the door in case they need to make a quick exit.
[2012-03-25 00:19:27] * Agrippa hops out of the back of the hatch and goes inside as well.
[2012-03-25 00:19:40] * Klightus follows them, preysense system running.
[2012-03-25 00:19:41] <Agrippa> "Musn't miss this!"
[2012-03-25 00:19:46] <Calmswamp> The building has metal double-doors, which are locked.
[2012-03-25 00:19:52] <Calmswamp> There is a keypad beside it.
[2012-03-25 00:19:58] * Klightus shakes the door to see if its loose or jiggles.
[2012-03-25 00:20:03] * Titus exits the Notmera and approaches the door, running a hand over it
[2012-03-25 00:20:13] <Calmswamp> The 2, 6, 8, and 9 keys are faded.
[2012-03-25 00:20:17] <Calmswamp> The door does not budge
[2012-03-25 00:20:28] <Klightus> "Wait, wait."
[2012-03-25 00:20:32] * Varamor just walks up to the doors and lifts his claw.
[2012-03-25 00:20:34] <Klightus> "What if it's booby trapped for intruders?"
[2012-03-25 00:22:07] * Varamor contemplates using Klightus as a meatshield before shrugging and attempting to remove the door.
[2012-03-25 00:22:18] <Klightus> "Aw feth."
[2012-03-25 00:22:27] * Klightus backs up back into the notmera while Varamor commences the slashing.
[2012-03-25 00:22:53] * Titus steps away from the door, giving him some room
[2012-03-25 00:24:12] <Calmswamp> After several slashes from the lightning claws, and a loud racket, the doors give way.
[2012-03-25 00:25:11] <Calmswamp> The inside is vacant. The lights are off.
[2012-03-25 00:25:32] <Calmswamp> Several empty tables and chairs are neatly pushed in, cogitators on the tables are powered off.
[2012-03-25 00:25:34] * Klightus pokes his head out now that nothing is shooting or exploding.
[2012-03-25 00:25:39] <Klightus> "Right."
[2012-03-25 00:25:48] <Calmswamp> The security desk by the door is also vacant, and free of paperwork.
[2012-03-25 00:25:59] * Klightus gets back out and cautiously enters the room, visors still active.
[2012-03-25 00:26:02] * Varamor enters.
[2012-03-25 00:26:44] <Calmswamp> Klightus, however, sees a mild fluctuation of heat through wooden double doors ahead, the only other doorway in the massive room.
[2012-03-25 00:27:01] * Titus slowly enters the room
[2012-03-25 00:27:05] * Klightus holds up his hand for everyone to halt and raises his bolter towards the wooden double doors.
[2012-03-25 00:28:10] * Klightus whispers into his microbead to Varamor. "Wooden doors, heat fluctuations."
[2012-03-25 00:29:24] * Varamor raises his plasma gun and aims at the doors, firing a shot.
[2012-03-25 00:29:39] * Klightus cringes.
[2012-03-25 00:30:14] <Calmswamp> The silence enhances the loud bang of superheated plasma, and the deafening roar of splintering, melting, and crackling wood shattering.
[2012-03-25 00:31:25] * Titus slowly approaches the door
[2012-03-25 00:31:53] * Klightus joins him, turning off his preysense in favor of the regular photo-visor of the plasma borked it all.
[2012-03-25 00:31:56] * Varamor just waits to see what is through the door.
[2012-03-25 00:32:03] <Calmswamp> Inside is a massively large cogitator, still on, and a mechanicus body slumped over the controls.
[2012-03-25 00:32:16] <Calmswamp> The Cogitator screen is off, however.
[2012-03-25 00:32:37] <Varamor> "Loot the body, check the machine."
[2012-03-25 00:32:45] * Titus looks around the room before approaching the corpse
[2012-03-25 00:32:46] * Agrippa cracks his knuckles "Alright, I've got this."
[2012-03-25 00:32:50] <Calmswamp> The dead techpriest is far too far for the plasma to have killed him.
[2012-03-25 00:33:20] * Klightus doesn't like this. He looks around the room long and hard from the door frame, preysense back on, for anything that rubs him wrong.
[2012-03-25 00:33:53] * Titus uses his sword to move the body slowly
[2012-03-25 00:33:54] * Agrippa waits to make sure the corpse doesn't explode when Titus moves it before he actually moves toward the cogitator.
[2012-03-25 00:34:49] <Calmswamp> The body is cold, however it is mostly metal. The only heat signatures come from you guys, and the cogitator.
[2012-03-25 00:35:39] <Calmswamp> As you check the body, you can see a single bullet had pierced his head. Likely the cause of death. There is no exit wound.
[2012-03-25 00:36:00] * Titus searches the body cautiously as he moves it off the controls
[2012-03-25 00:36:04] <Calmswamp> Moving the body causes something to clatter out of his robes, falling to the stone floor.
[2012-03-25 00:36:26] * Klightus turns around and makes sure they aren't being followed, looking /back/ into the room they came from, examining it just as hard. He flinches a bit at the clatter, but doesn't stop.
[2012-03-25 00:36:45] * Varamor hasn't entered the corpse room
[2012-03-25 00:37:01] <Calmswamp> No one's following.
[2012-03-25 00:37:45] * Klightus takes a deep breath. "Something's off. Something..." He shakes his head.
[2012-03-25 00:38:26] <Agrippa> "Let's see what we've got here." Agrippa lights up the activation incense and attempts to boot the cogitator.
[2012-03-25 00:39:14] * Klightus goes to examine whatever was dropped, assuming the other two haven't.
[2012-03-25 00:39:32] <Calmswamp> It looks to be some manner of audio recorder.
[2012-03-25 00:39:43] * Klightus rolls it in his hand, examining the controls.

[2012-03-25 00:41:11] * Klightus rewinds it, assuming that it's recorded something.
[2012-03-25 00:41:15] <Agrippa> "Ah, it records audio." He waves his hand dismissively "That means that it keeps sounds and holds them to play again. Very complicated. Very scientific. Don't worry though, I'm and expert.

[2012-03-25 00:41:36] <Calmswamp> It rewinds, and clicks when it finishes.
[2012-03-25 00:41:51] * Klightus thinks how fortunate it is Agrippa cannot see the look of bemusement on his face. "Thanks. I know how to use it."
[2012-03-25 00:42:05] * Klightus hits the play rune and sets it on top of something so he can listen hands free.
[2012-03-25 00:43:30] <Calmswamp> "Tape 5....This is the personal audio diary of Magos Newel Talos, Stationed currently at the Orbital Defence Relay Station at Hammer's Landing." The voice on it is slightly augmented, but surprisingly human for a techpriest.
[2012-03-25 00:43:58] * Klightus finds a corner to kneel in so his back is to a wall. Still can't get over the wrongness of the situation.
[2012-03-25 00:45:20] <Calmswamp> "The past few weeks have been taxing, first with Planetary Governer-Warden Yax declining my request for more cogitator banks, and now I'm hearing they expect me to reroute the Machine Spirt's life-energy to be "more efficient". Despite the fact that I told them it was impossible."
[2012-03-25 00:45:35] <Calmswamp> There's a long pause.
[2012-03-25 00:46:53] <Calmswamp> "Diary Entry 5-2. I...think I found a way to reroute the energy. Something in the cogitator's banks seemed off. Upon closer examination this techna-lingua rune-script should increase the machine spirit's vigour. Finally some luck!"
[2012-03-25 00:47:28] <Calmswamp> "Diary Entry 5-3. Yax has once again cut our meagre funding, and expects me to work miracles. Damned idiot."
[2012-03-25 00:48:01] * Agrippa nods sympathetically at the corpse.
[2012-03-25 00:48:14] <Calmswamp> "Diary Entry 5-4. The cogitator has...increased productivity. I'm not sure why...or how. I may need to contact the Mechanicus...something feels off..."
[2012-03-25 00:49:14] * Klightus glances at the cogitator and Agrippa working on it.
[2012-03-25 00:49:37] <Klightus> "Might want to wait for the end of the mag-tape."
[2012-03-25 00:49:40] * Varamor levels his plasma gun at the cogitator, but waits for now.
[2012-03-25 00:50:10] <Calmswamp> "Diary Entry 5-5. I looked over the runescript again. By the Omnissiah, the damned machine is replicating the script!" The recorder emits a burst of static as shuffling can be heard. "I need to contact the Mechanicus immediately! They need to know! I don't know how to deal with this!"
[2012-03-25 00:52:20] <Calmswamp> "Diary Entry 5-....*Click clack* er...6....Yax has denied my request for contact for some damned reason. I have to stop this before it compromises the entire Orbital Defence system!" More noises of typing can be heard. "I've almost got it. Ha ha, I'll be a damned hero when I turn this into the Mechanicus, and report my findings! I'll..." The recorder blares slightly, as the sound of a door...

[2012-03-25 00:53:02] <Calmswamp> A gunshot is heard, before a small thump.
[2012-03-25 00:53:28] <Varamor> "This Yax... there's something odd about him, no?  I wonder if he has been speaking to our... friend."
[2012-03-25 00:53:47] * Klightus grabs the recorder and rewinds a bit to replay the door kicking.
[2012-03-25 00:54:28] * Klightus looks around the room for any shattered doors apart from the one they made.

[2012-03-25 00:54:43] * Klightus frowns and lets the tape continue.
[2012-03-25 00:54:43] <Calmswamp> The recording plays the bang and thump again.
[2012-03-25 00:54:54] <Calmswamp> The tape plays a lot of shuffling, and clinking of metal.
[2012-03-25 00:54:55] <Klightus> "Someone must've fixed the door."
[2012-03-25 00:55:40] <Calmswamp> "Evacuate the building. Set coordinates to this, and the other marked locations. Erase all evidence.   ...    ...   ... It's going to start soon. We need to be ready."

[2012-03-25 00:59:43] <Agrippa> "Oh, look, I just accessed the cogitator. Which is WAY more complicated than that recorder." He casts a sideways glance at Klightus.

[2012-03-25 00:59:51] <Varamor> "I wonder if we are not being used for something."
[2012-03-25 01:00:01] <Varamor> "More than just us getting off planet."
[2012-03-25 01:01:01] <Titus> "No. We are simply not the only ones given this task."
[2012-03-25 01:01:18] <Calmswamp> The screen shows the map of the area, with marked crosshairs on several areas, including on top of you.
[2012-03-25 01:02:28] * Titus sits down and opens his dataslate "We dont' have time for this. I am performing my ritual."
[2012-03-25 01:02:31] * Klightus gets up to look at the map.
[2012-03-25 01:02:53] <Agrippa> "Yes. I think we had better do what we need to do and leave quickly."
[2012-03-25 01:03:18] * Agrippa searches for anything else of potential use in the cogitator's database.

[2012-03-25 01:06:17] * Klightus points at the line of markers just west of the spaceport.
[2012-03-25 01:06:35] <Klightus> "And if these are targets for orbital strikes, or something like that."
[2012-03-25 01:06:41] <Klightus> "They might be cutting off the space port."
[2012-03-25 01:06:54] <Varamor> "... then this place too?"
[2012-03-25 01:06:56] * Klightus points at another point further west. "And that looks like our prison."
[2012-03-25 01:07:13] <Klightus> "Maybe. This is assuming these are strikes."
[2012-03-25 01:07:15] <Varamor> "They are at least chokeholds."
[2012-03-25 01:07:21] <Klightus> "That they are."
[2012-03-25 01:07:21] <Varamor> "The bridges that is."
[2012-03-25 01:07:30] <Klightus> "They could be just reinforcement and rally points."
[2012-03-25 01:07:52] <Klightus> "If I was their commander I would probably try to hold at least a few of these for that reason. Choke off anyone trying to come or go."

[2012-03-25 01:07:58] * Klightus shrugs."
[2012-03-25 01:08:12] <Klightus> "Can't say for sure though. I don't know the area, or what the warp might be in these west targets."
[2012-03-25 01:09:45] <Klightus> "Either way, I'm going to prep the vehicle. Do what you have to do."
[2012-03-25 01:10:03] * Klightus heads back outside, preysense still on just in case anything is hanging around.
[2012-03-25 01:11:22] <Varamor> "Send some servitors.  We're taking the thing and leaving."
[2012-03-25 01:11:38] <Varamor> "Let them fiddle with it on the way.  I'll ride on top if need be."
[2012-03-25 01:12:10] <Calmswamp> Cogitator is bigger than the notmera
[2012-03-25 01:12:11] * Klightus sends the servitors inside to help Agrippa.

[2012-03-25 01:12:25] * Klightus will let them deal with sending them back when they realize it's too big.
[2012-03-25 01:12:40] * Klightus sits in the passenger compartment while he waits after starting the engine.
[2012-03-25 01:12:47] * Titus motions for them to leave "You need not worry about any of that. I will simply finish the ritual and we can be on our way
[2012-03-25 01:13:22] <Agrippa> "We can take the relevant portions of the cogitator with us without having to carry it away..."
[2012-03-25 01:14:17] <Titus> "You may want to leave the room before I begin."
[2012-03-25 01:14:28] * Klightus taps a pocket inside his armor where he put the mag-tape recorder, which he is keeping.
[2012-03-25 01:15:26] <Varamor> "You realize that this place may become point zero for an orbital bombardment, correct?"
[2012-03-25 01:17:10] * Agrippa motions over one of the Servitors "Come here, Princess..." A mechandrite tendril similar to the one plugged into the cogitator links into the Servitor's data port.
[2012-03-25 01:18:28] * Agrippa relaxes as some sort of mysterious process begins between the two.
[2012-03-25 01:20:21] * Varamor returns to the Notmera
[2012-03-25 01:20:32] * Klightus continues pondering what the markers could mean.
[2012-03-25 01:21:14] <Agrippa> After a few moments the deed is done, and the tendrils retract. "Alright, Titus, you can have a look now. But the words on the screen aren't LITERALLY inside the cogitator. It's a bit more complicated than that."
[2012-03-25 01:21:34] * Agrippa removes some of the panels for Titus to get at it's systems.
[2012-03-25 01:22:02] * Titus sits down near the open panels "I do not care for the words of the machine god. You may leave now."
[2012-03-25 01:23:36] <Agrippa> "I think you'll find what this one says to be very interesting."
[2012-03-25 01:23:57] <Agrippa> Agrippa heads back out to the Notmera. "Come along, Princess."
[2012-03-25 01:24:25] * Titus begins speaking the incantation as his mind carves the runes onto the memory bank
[2012-03-25 01:24:32] * Klightus gets in the driver's seat now that some more have arrived.
[2012-03-25 01:24:38] <Varamor> "If anything falls out of the sky, we're going to get out of here."
[2012-03-25 01:25:07] * Klightus taps the chin of his helmet.
[2012-03-25 01:25:20] <Klightus> "Say, you remember what the vox said a couple hours ago? In the sniper tower?"
[2012-03-25 01:25:21] <Calmswamp> The memory bank glows with an eldrich light, and something feels off, although you can't tell what it is.
[2012-03-25 01:25:36] <Klightus> "About the fleet or something?"
[2012-03-25 01:25:43] <Calmswamp> Meanwhile, a flower in the hair of one of the servitors (for some reason) whithers and dies.
[2012-03-25 01:26:51] <Varamor> "Not a clue... I was... not in my right mind at the time."
[2012-03-25 01:27:17] * Agrippa waits patiently for a thank you from Varamor.
[2012-03-25 01:27:43] * Titus lets out his held breath as the ritual is complete and stands, looking over his work for the dark gods before leaving
[2012-03-25 01:27:52] <Calmswamp> The memory bank, now corrupted, send signals to the cogitator, the screen of which scrambles like crazy.

[2012-03-25 01:32:14] * Titus stands up and looks to where he sat

[2012-03-25 01:33:36] <Agrippa> "Oooh, Titus. Wouldn't you know it? The cogitator said that would happen. Maybe machine code IS worth reading."
[2012-03-25 01:34:19] <Klightus> "What are you talking about?"
[2012-03-25 01:34:27] <Titus> "Unless you want me to test my knowledge of technology on your I suggest you keep your jokes to yourself."
[2012-03-25 01:35:09] * Agrippa snickers, pointing to a puddle of oil in Titus's old seat.
[2012-03-25 01:35:39] <Titus> "You get one pass. The next time I shall carve the runes I need into your flesh."
[2012-03-25 01:36:23] <Agrippa> "One pass from now or was that it?"
[2012-03-25 01:37:09] <Titus> "Do not test me."
