- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- I thought I had the power of Trash Taste on my side. I was listening to the main theme song of the Trash Taste podcast in my warmups for the final match of the PPL2021 tournament and recorded a 17:18 S-Hard, my second fastest S-Hard on record. From then on, I decided to listen to it on loop during the match so I could find a way to enjoy myself during the expected slaughter at the hands of FFRPro. Then, I got two sub-23s and won the first two races. I thought I was going to ride that wave over to a miraculous finish.
- I'm not sure what I could have done different at the end. GG, FFRPro. You earned it. Better luck for me next year, I suppose.
- With the tournament now complete, I now have so much more work to do to get the tournament footage fully uploaded to YouTube and fix the, now, League of Puzzle Speedrunners social medias and clean out my stream archives and fix my own stream before the next tournament comes around in a few months. It's going to be a while yet before I get into a place where I can completely catch back up to a bigger schedule. I presented a facsimile of a dream full-time schedule that I would try to transition to once I got caught up, but that's going to be weeks away from still from being realized.
- In the meantime, I will be keeping up the regular Friday Night Salt Mines sessions. I'm actually not burnt out on PPL yet. In fact, there was a recent revelation that turning off the music in game loaded the play fields sooner at the start of every stage, saving about 0.4 seconds per stage. That is a free 4-5 seconds on Easy mode that I will be going for if no one wants to race anything in particular. Either way, I will be back on Friday at 8pm EST for some salt-generating action!
