  1. [05:26] After finishing up some of the duties within the Church Inante would finally have a moment of freedom, One he chose to use by immersing himself in medical studies.
  2.
  3. Going into the Library he'd happen upon a book he had saw before, A book on runes capable of assisting in medical and magical diseases. Something he felt would be quite nice to learn.
  4.
  5. While he wasn't too often well informed about runes being used in such a way he knew he would have an even harder time if he tried to study medical herbs and plants.
  6.
  7. After all he was no alchemist and while he was informed what most of them could do and cure he relied on his no how and practical application of his runes and magics to help in this scenario.
  8.
  9. Both Holy and Time magic had a unique effect on a persons body that Inante would aim to channel when healing someone. And of course through the use of Medical Rune casting he'd be able to fine tune his abilities so they can pin point any problem areas and dissolve them.
  10.
  11. He'd first start by taking sometime to read about the anatomy and structure of the human magi. Things he knew about mostly from his time spent training along side his grandmother.
  12.
  13. The heart is also a connection place for mana, Capable of transporting mana through out the body, While the stomach is able to store resviours of said mana within. And while using Rune casting one could in theory manipulate the mana within a persons body and be able to make changes and alterations through runes.
  14.
  15. But of Course Inante had no such plot, Instead his runes would be used to heal and recover those in need.

  18.
  19. [05:34] As he continued to read he'd studied the articles regarding the medical applications that would be needed, He'd had already went over the section with gauze with the High Keeper so he skipped that part for now.
  20.
  21. Instead turning the page to other areas that seemed important. Emergency treatments, When someone loses a limb its best to immediately cauterize the arteries, Making sure that there's not a large amount of blood loss
  22.
  23. Inante figured that even with his time magic he wouldn't be able to revert an entire leg back to its original state. Yet he would at the very least be able to focus on sealing a wound by suspending it in Time to temporarily stop the bleeding, then using holy magic to close the artery and go on from there.
  24.
  25. Next of course came the mechanics of a prosthetic, Something as an Artificer was quite an intrigue to him, Having built prosthetic kits and the like he knew little on how to attach them to human muscle, nerves and veins.
  26.
  27. But as he learned the techniques of both eternal and external attachments and replacements of organs and limbs he realized it was more so an object that would immediately adapt to whatever it was being tuned to replace.
  28.
  29. It was quite the innovative technology and quite honestly without it many people would suffer far more difficult lives.
  30.

  34.
  35. [05:43] The final chapter was regarding the use of medical skill when applied towards magical Curses, Poisons, and diseases. And most of the time this would require a magi of great skill and intellect to resolve.
  36.
  37. Usually these three worked very similarly to one another, They latch on or infect the hosts either by mana circuits or some other sort of etherical attachment. Curses more often than not lingered through malevolent foreign mana entering and mixing with the circuits of another causing harm.
  38.
  39. While poisons and diseases, Like the Verona virus...were often created by using both malevolent curses and demonic essences. It can be forged of manifestations of hatred and malice to afflict deadly effects. And can be entirely as ravaging as a curse could.
  40.
  41. The combination of said things also increased their potency giving it all the more life to spread and destroy infected and afflicted targets.
  42.
  43. As the young Stellus continued to read on he'd feel a growing pit inhis stomach at the horrors of such creations of evil, It was no wonder why the plague wiped out a good portion of both Messaris and Sudbury and led to the fortifications of the districts seen today.
  44.
  45. Yet there was a silver lining with all these things, While Holy magic wasn't always the most effective tool in healing physical injuries, dissolving curses and diseases of magical nature was far more to its skills.
  46.
  47. Inante would watch and read various medical exorcistic techniques that sometimes would even require the medic to be prepared for retaliation by the curse sometimes even afflicting them had they not warded themselves properly before hand.
  48. (Inante Arl Salis)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [05:53] " The most ravaged of the Vorna virus afflicted were the ones turned into scaled demonic occultists, " As Inante read on his heart sank thinking of what could've been done to save them.
  52.
  53. " While through trial and error a majority of the effects still lingered on and through extreme measures had to be taken in most cases those who survived but were infected had to be put down, Due only to their growing affinity towards demonic magic. " It was an example of how harsh cursed viruses could become. And how deadly the demons and witches of the past were as well.
  54.
  55.
  56. The Stellus would then follow along the example by setting up a cup of water, and then adding to it something to make it impure, Salt , dirt or even blood in some cases, as long as there was an impurity to remove.
  57.
  58. It was a simple process to a well trained holy magi by using the 'Benediction' and Warding techniques. One would invoke their holy mana into the bowl of waterand isolate and then remove all the impurities one at a time.
  59.
  60. Inante would imagine doing this on a living person, Having known humans were made up of 70% water it was only natural that this method be quite the task, It was perhaps why blood and water magi had such potent healing abilities.
  61.
  62. It was no different towards removal of Curses, Poisons and Diseases, One would have to isolate the affliction with a barrier, As many as were necessary, and then fill that space with as much holy magic to separate and destroy it from the afflicted body usually magi tend to draw out the affliction first before destroying it but depending on what it is some methods have to be more involved.
  63.
  64. Having felt like he learned an whole lot the Stellus returns the books he was reading back to the library, Having himself process all what he can before thinking of taking the test, He figured next he'd once again ask someone for some advice, Perhaps in more delicate surgeries.
