- Description: Carolyn’s body was found in Twin Ponds near Enger Park in Duluth,MN. She had a single small-caliber bullet wound to her head. Her case went unsolved until DNA evidence left at the scene was partially matched to Oliver’s son, who was in prison. A DNA sample was obtained from Oliver, who killed himself in 1988, which matched the DNA left at the crime scene. It is believed that Oliver killed Carolyn because she refused to give him her number the night before, as Oliver was observed talking to her incessantly at a local bar that she frequented.
