  1. <CDatWork> Skeletons rattle to the attack in the room ahead of you that Karkanna just opened!
  2. <Yan-Shih_Lang> Sorneia steps forward, casting her eyes upon the skeletons in the far corner of the room. With a clap of her staff against the ground, a whirl of swirling water surrounds the small group, to toss them around like shipwreck debris.
  3. <CDatWork> One of the two skeletons weathers the aqueous assault, while the other is slammed hither and yon into walls, floor, and ceiling alike, and the animating magic dies as the bones are strewn like so much flotsam.
  4. <CDatWork> The "living" skeletons quickly march forward, rattling and hissing eerily as they raise longswords; two of them take swipes at Karkanna, and one of those two actually finds a way past her shield and armor to leave a gash, while a third retaliates against Sorneia and does the same to her.
  5. <Earthflame> A glimmer of silver light flares up as the blow is about to Strike Sorneia, Andrea's cry for Bahamut echoing as an axe hurls towards the skeleton who struck her ally... And misses completely, bouncing across the floor. But it Looked impressive.
  6. <Deedles> Eth'lem peaks out from behind Andrea as she flung her axe, the white hair young woman giving the skeleton in front of their dwarven companion a glare that... couldn't exactly be described as fierce. Was it possibly a coincidence that the bone-built creature fell into a pile right then?
  7. * Karkanna follows up on the first skeleton collapsing by bashing another one over the skull with her hammer, before bracing behind her shield and plowing through the rest.
  8. <CDatWork> Karkanna's strike crumples the skeleton to its constituent bonepile and the shield shove pushes the debris back a few feet, clearing a space for her to occupy
  9. <CDatWork> .
  10. <Yan-Shih_Lang> Sorneia's gaze shifts to a small group of skeletons off to her right, and as the tides are wont to do, their sloshing currents flow down to envelop the two bony assailants.
  11. <CDatWork> This time neither is able to avoid the bludgeoning might of the ocean, and both skeletons crumble before nature's wrath.
  12. <Earthflame> Andrea lets out a roar as she rushes past Sorneia, making a wild swing at the skeleton, almost overbalancing herself-
  13. * Karkanna swings as well, twice, at the offending skeleton, but also misses.
  14. <CDatWork> The skeleton attempts to punish Andrea for her rash decision, but Bahamut is clearly smiling on his champion today, as the rusty longsword blade misses by a scale's width.
  15. * Karkanna feels the surge of healing light course over her body, and strikes at the skeleton with a swipe of her hammer before it's even finished.
  16. <Deedles> Eth'lem watched with concern as one of the skeletons attacks Karkanna, and somehow survives the onslaught of the dwarf and dragonborn combined, the young woman's eyes narrowing as she roars, the words didn't sound human, but the fighter would feel herself become reinvigorated, the skeleton before her crumbling to dust.
  17. <CDatWork> The skeleton takes the brunt of the hammer strike right on the breastbone, and half of the decrepit remains just shatter into toothpick-sized fragments while the rest of it clatters to uselessness on the stone floor.
  18. <CDatWork> Nothing unliving remains mobile; the room you are in is easily twice as wide as it is long, and a trio of shut doors bar your progress. There is one door set into each wall, and the only open door is the south one, by which you just came in.
  19. * Karkanna immediately goes to look at the West door.
  20. <Yan-Shih_Lang> "Does anyone have a preferred door?"
  21. * Blaize ([email protected]) has joined #cdndic
  22. <Deedles> Eth'lem shakes her head, quiet and wide eyed as she stares at the piles of bone.
  23. <Earthflame> Andrea moves to retrieve her axe, slipping it back into a leather thong on her armour. "Whichever way we walk, eventually we will find what we seek. Bahamut guides us!"
  24. <CDatWork> The skeletons themselves were carrying rusted and decayed weapons and nothing else--each one bore an ancient longsword, their grips loose and wobbly, as well as moth-eaten longbows and regular arrows. Whatever magic sustained the skeletons apparently preserved the weaponry, as the bowstrings snap with less sound than parting spider silk.
  25. <CDatWork> The leftmost door seems small, made of iron-bound wood instead of heavy stone. Andrea would find passage a tight fit, possibly Karkanna as well, though it wouldn't be impossible.
