  1. To some of you may come as a surprise, however I'd like to briefly mention as I have with the different teams I am grateful to work with the STAFF, Command, and Supervisory in continuing to moderate, regulate, and actively maintain to groom the faction the way it is today. I am proud of our efforts and I hope that you will continue to empower yourselves to do more, and do better.
  2.
  3. However I also say that this may as well be the end for everything. I came back with one intention and purpose alone: I was asked by Faction Management to return and upon favour, I came back to assist the Faction back onto its feet with my expertise and seniority around here. Server Management has doubts in my intentions and questioned if I had ulterior motives, but nonetheless expressed discomfort in me being the Chief. I'll explain below:
  4.
  5.
  6. An x'th amount of time is the charm, except this one is specially different. I could tell you that I no longer have time to commit to play this game, which is also true - I also stopped when it has come to a point where the disagreements that I have with Server Management is far too great to handle to be in a stressful position made up by the expectations of two community managers.
  7.
  8. My problem lies within the trust of Server Management and same way back, they do not trust me either. They've grew to dislike my leadership style because I've challenged them in what I believe works best for the faction whereas they see different. I'm reminded time and time again that I am not Server Management's first pick as the Chief of Police, that I was simply put in at the time Obzen's whim from Head of Legal Factions perspective. I am reminded time and time again that our times that we have spent in the faction, are not as valuable as the server managers themselves and all of us, are actually out of tune with the game. I am told that the only way to ensure the survival of our sister Sheriff's Department is by relieving the jurisdictions more freely because "the server is going to die anyways" and it is the server manager's own faction that they are part of, he felt the need to be the hero to save it all. He disagreed when the jurisdiction discussions were in place with the Command team because he lacked the confidence that Command team would make any sensible decision or judgment to remotely lift the jurisdiction restrictions at all. As a matter of fact, he threatened to "take it the non-fm route" for if I chose to discuss these matters with the Command team. To this day, the jurisdictions have still been more lenient than Foran's time - however he was afraid that nothing would change.
  9.
  10. He was disappointed that I've meddled and waddled on the lines for his transfer over to the PD. He doesn't know that the decision made wasn't solely on behalf of myself nor my assistant Lemon at the time. So he's continued to brush off the requests and belittled our monthly faction meetings with the HoF brought up by the Command staff to tell me that "I am not some P2 asking for a stupid request like this, you should know better to filter out what is worth bringing to the meeting or not" when the Command team had genuine questions to ask about how to proceed on certain rules and policies that is always ever-changing with the admin team that are confided in carrying out any actions they do.
  11.
  12. Yet, he also had the audacity to give himself a customized interior and world for his "legal" club that either we make a memorandum about our LEOs interactions in the business/clubs, or a rule will be made about how officers should be engaging in clubs. Yes, he was ready to continue making further restrictions and more reasons to ajail the faction members that admins had already conveniently been doing to nitpick on anything. But that is not where the line is drawn.
  13.
  14. In fact, he imposed a belief to us that "there is something fundamentally wrong with the faction because roleplay standards are dropping" simply because some players in our department were getting ajailed more frequently. We were suggested to take action by implementing a procedure to continue tracking these admin jails but also to follow up with appropriate disciplinary as per ajail. And when in some cases when I, or STAFF, have decided to not hand off the reprimands - we are questioned on the side "How do you find yourself correcting roleplaying standards?. When we said that we have been following with official reprimands/suspensions, we are challenged with "That is not what I see. You don't apply the same punishment to all players.
  15.
  16. I don't know about you, but if there are any decisions I still make for myself - I can still choose to "willingly" resign despite the fact that you, Server Management, have pushed so far in making life difficult for myself, my team, and the faction. I truly hope that you will find a Chief that will be kneeling down to comply with all of your requests because you're looking for is an incompetent, weak-minded, and greedy leader that will do anything for a title.
  17.
  18. Don't worry, I'll make this one easy for you. You won't have to live with the pain of working with your non-first-choice Chief. I'm sure that is why Server Management might as well take the role of Faction Management so you can be 100% comfortable with all choices you make, and you can only blame yourself in the end.
