His childhood shaped his teenage years heavily due to Niklaus's cruciatus curse. He's fierce, loyal and dedicated to his family where he needs to be. Equally, he cannot see the bigger picture and is prone to losing his temper if his family is threatened. Above all, family means the most to Freddy and is the one thing that can shake or disturb his moral compass.

    During his youth, Freddy had to deal with a variety of factors. His father was often injured in the line of duty, and his mother would have to deal with it. However, they both found time to look after Freddy and teach him the morals that he stands by today. However, he was set upon by Niklaus de Nostredame as revenge against his father, and tortured with the Cruciatus Curse. This was never healed properly, and has begun to resurface in flashbacks and damage to his general psyche. Upon reaching his teenage years, Freddy had to deal with his feelings for Hazel Dumbledore and how it affected his rivalry with Aleksander Snape. Eventually, he destroyed his own memories to try and escape the pain he was feeling from multiple factors, such as the Cruciatus, his feelings, having betrayed his friends and feeling alone. They were eventually restored, and he vowed to never allow himself to get that bad again. Since that day, he has strived to make himself a better man, lest he repeat the mistakes of his past.

    Now an adult, Freddy has gone through a lot in the years that he's been alive. He was stabbed by Oliver Golgatha and left with a permanent reminder of his failure, having nearly died to basilisk venom. He grew over the years and had a family with Hazel, before she cheated on him and left him alone once more after his father passed away. He eventually found kinship with Eva de Nostredame, before she was murdered by Corvus Malfoy and he was forced to flee the country to avoid his grief, leaving his daughter and step-daughter behind. Now, upon his return, he has gone from the Head of the MLE to Minister for Magic, which left him weary and tired of the world combined with the family problems that he experienced. His relationship with Alexis Sullivan broke down due to this, followed by Freddy cheating under the effects of a potion. This devastated their relationship, and he was forced to say goodbye. Now he's Headmaster of Hogwarts and has recently broken up with Florence under a mutual close friendship.
