- 1. Can we hear from cyclops about how they've been surviving all this time. Maybe more about the island's inhabitantng tribes, or where the everhungry's temple is
- Well, short answer is just barely. There were nine of them at first, only four now. It's been harsh, and they got a small graveyard they made in a corner of this walled in monastery, if you can call it that. Weird enough, they never found any evidence the original inhabitants had a graveyard.
- Cookie and Robin play a large role in their survival. Cookie had a rather crafty idea with the fact the island sinks underwater at certain intervals. She constructed hempen fishing nets and secured them to parts of the cubic part of the isle. When the isle sinks, Water Pokemon sometimes get stuck in them, and she's got enough of them set up to pretty much guarantee they'll get food out of them. She's also very tiny and scrappy, so hasn't had much issue sneaking around either.
- Robin, on the other hand, has picked up a knack for gathering berries, fruits and other plants around the island. She's even gone as far as to sometimes steal from the farms the Dyrad's got set up. She's also gotten pretty good at making clothing and such from what little materials they can get around here.
- Alicia has put a lot of effort into understanding as much as she can about the locals. This includes, obviously, how their toxins work and how to identify their traps. The Forest Tribe is the only one that is openly hostile, where The Mountain Tribe is very isolationist in comparison. Trying to communicate with the two has been very difficult - Alicia mainly contributes this to the Forest Tribe's leadership. And to make matters worse, on occasion, The 'merfolk', as she calls them, sometimes intrude on the land. She's not really sure what the deal is between the three clans, but they seem to be at war constantly.
- You'd really have to ask Alicia more about the tribes themselves. Cyclops's specialty has been more how to command the Unowns around here, and the history of the monastery itself. It seems it has a self defense mechanism that she's sorta mastered.
- 2. Shark Fighter, gib gun
- Shark Fighter figures it out really really fast - he seems to have experience with one of these before. He VOD VODS as he demonstrates it with the HELLO Unown that he just cobbled together. Few notes from Genevieve, at least what she can make sense of. This dude's accent is killer. -
- These things became really really common with Rune Masters in Kushva around 30 years ago. They were popularized by a wandering scribe who started cobbling Unown together to make weapons. It doesn't just take the charge of the rune master's Hidden Power, but can do so with any Unown's Hidden Power. He suspects the Sons of Grant, via The Collective Hivemind, daisy chain each other's Hidden Powers to get whatever friggen typing they want.
- What this thing does mechanically:
- +1 DB on Hidden Power, and +2 range, but only single target.
- Recharging takes a Swift Action - using either your own hidden power, or the hidden power of an Unown or other Pokemon within two meters of the user.
- It takes a Rune Master to 'charge' it for a shot, but a Rune Master could also charge it and hand it to another person for that one shot if they desired.
- 3. Shark Fighter wtf is Grant doing
- He's, uh, honestly confused with what you're talking about. He hasn't actually witnessed it, and doesn't seem to buy into he can just deploy them willy nilly. That was a very hard to develop skip for a lot of Rune Masters in Kushva - but WAS one that was taught. It had a bunch of limitations though, based on where the Unown had been in the past and such. If Grant's using some sorta power, it's way more than anything he's seen.
- What Genevieve can take away from his rambling...is he was at one point part of the same community of Rune Masters that The Writer was. He rambles about what it was like at the 'Grant Library of the Collective' and his duties there, mostly recording history.
