  1. Katrina
  2. A girl with the power to see the future, but only 5 seconds ahead. From her perspective, she lives in both the future and the present. Whenever she's unhappy with how the future turned out, she can go back and try it again and again until she’s happy with the results. This means that she’s incredibly dominant in conversations and confident in a way no one else is: she actually knows she is doing the right thing… up to a point. Five seconds is still very powerful. She can turn off her power if she chooses: Her eyes glow faintly with it on, but it’s always on so most people don’t realize that she could turn it off if she chose to.
  3.
  4. Fortunately, this girl has a kind heart. She tries not to abuse her power and makes sure that she doesn’t interrupt people. She makes sure her friends know she’s interested in what they’re saying, even when she’s technically already heard it before.
  5.
  6. However, she is utterly reliant on her power and a perfectionist to a fault. Without her future sight she can barely function, not knowing if she's doing the right thing. Acting without thinking is terrifying. This comes up in the story some times because she can’t use her power in the dark.

  71. How the Character is Involved in the Story
  72.
  73. Character's role in the novel: Katrina is one of the girls the MC can choose to follow the storyline of. Her story is of her learning to overcome her true insecurity and the way her power is a crutch. She learns to be okay with not being perfect or in control, and to not manipulate others. As a side character, she’s an energetic voice that tries to brighten the mood. Sometimes to the annoyance of others.
