Q: What is Kaizo IronMon?
A: It's a challenging randomizer ruleset for Pokémon games. All Pokémon, their stat spreads, their evolutions and their moves are randomized. The most immediate problem is that all wild and trainer Pokémon have their levels boosted by 50%, and your run is over if your Pokémon faints. The vast majority of runs are expected to die early. Q: How does it make sense for a tournament?
A: Competitors have one week to run 10 seeds, and gain points upon reaching checkpoints in each seed (e.g. beating Rival 1, beating Falkner, beating Archer). If you score higher than your opponent, you move on to the next round, and keep going until you win! If you lose round 1, you're placed into a free-for-all bracket with other round 1 losers and compete to become the Skill Issue Winner.

Q: Are there any rules that deviate from the classic Kaizo Ironmon ruleset?
A: There are a few in order to make it a little more likely to get further in the game: you can pick your starter in the lab, Pokémon TMs are 100% compatible with any Pokémon (but you're limited to teaching 2 TMs, 3 if you get to kanto, and they must be gym leader TMs)

Modifiers for Season 21 -
Once per run, get +1 point if you defeat three different legendary or mythical Pokemon that meet at least one of the following criteria as a group: Each is from a different generation, All are from the same generation, All share a weakness (doesn't matter if it's 2x or 4x), This counts as long as you have defeated the legendary or mythical pokemon themselves, and these fights can occur at any point in the run. AND All banned moves are allowed to be used until the 1st gym leader is defeated.

Q: What is Partners?
A: Both players will be completing identical seeds. With Player 1s job to scout the seed and provide information and resources to the PLAYER 2. PLAYER 2 will have the advantage of knowing what your partner encountered. Your job as a team is to communicate and work together to score the MOST CUMULATIVE MILESTONE + BONUS POINTS.
