[19/02/2018, 02:39:33] Darth Boss: I think, generally speaking, should finally think of our server as our server. The server is dedicated to fun and that is why people are coming here. We also pay for the server. This isn't at all intended as that others should lick butts of those who pay for the server. I will get to the point in following words.

During last week, I played on several occasions on our server and obviously each time I wanted to have fun and relax there for some whiles after the day. But, as it happened, I counted 3 occasions during which both JiP gang and fod gang (yes they are clans in the formal meaning of their functioning but you will see I can't call those groups as clans) were present on our server on the same time. And on each of those occasions they engaged in intense trashtalk and machoism, perhaps harassing too (guess yes since when you are belittling someone in public verbally it can count as verbal harassment). As you can guess, the biggest contributors were devy and boss. But they weren't alone. I can't remember who else was involved but I don't want to spend entire evening by sifting log files. I think it isn't that important in the context of what was going on as that they weren't alone.

You can often see that they are all using binds devy and boss invented, and for some reason they think they are cool and that it makes them superior. Binds like "???" or "lsF0aoD=o" are harmless but it at least makes me to stop and ask myself a question if this is how adults behave. I didn't find an answer to it yet.
There are lot more examples of binds they are all using (again I'm not gonna sift through log files), but lot of them if not all are demeaning and sometimes hateful. Not all of them can be in a strict definition called as verbal harassment but definitely it is trashtalking. But well, if you doubt, here are few examples (I might not remember them exactly but I think it doesn't matter that much, the context stays and that is most important): "sit dog", "should I leash you as I did to beyd?", "wtf you jew I 10-0 you", "you are flendo level" and many many more.
I think it doesn't matter against who it is directed, whether "russkis" or any other player. Imagine old member returning to our group, old player returning to game or new player visiting in our server possibly even wanting to be part of our group. And first what they see is gang wars, laming or trashtalk. What you think these people do as next? They can as well leave and never come back, or those who bought the game on steam will think of it as bloody wasted money. And it will be a smart move because the only thing they will experience is inability to protect those who want to play peacefully and have fun.
Of course it isn't only about admins of the server, even if they also should try to calm down the situation even if they will likely feel the brunt of the trashtalkers and machos. But it is also about members of the groups engaged in mentioned behavior. If they are sane and see other members of their group are being stupid, they also should attempt to help with cease fire. But often it is that they just watch (could they be afraid of that their "bosses" would call them weak cowards?) or because they enjoy watching it, or they also contribute to it. Neither of it is wise, it just shows how idiotic all these people are. If stupidity made people flying they would be on their x-th orbit around the earth.
These situations have to stop. I find it as a very weird way how to attract people here if that's purpose of such behavior. What is happening on other servers among these people can't be our concern, we can't affect it. But we can affect it on our server by enforcing our rules. We have admin protocol after all. Everyone has right to post concerning message on our forums.

During chat in discord, there was said that banning people for said behavior might not be optimal (though maybe a week sentence could do a thing? who knows), other option would be silencing these people (after fair warnings of course) and if it comes to that admin or the victim will feel or see said behavior exceeded treshold of "just" a trashtalk ban should follow.

If we want (I'm sure we do) to do something with this, we should come to a decision which would be effective but also to a decision on which people won't be waiting for years. The faster we cut this gordic knot the more favourite our group and server will be, people will have more fun and perhaps more of them will also join. Post your thoughts
