I'm back!

Hey so I made a stream the other day. Two, actually!

It was good to come back to such a warm welcome. I wasn't sure what I was expecting as a response, but it was really nice to see so many familiar faces and to have folks be so pleased to have me back. I'm still going to do my best to keep my mind right and not just do this for the approval of others, but a nice reception is still a good feeling. :)

I played SMB3, because it was a game that I did a few runs of during my break, and I thought I could PB again in it.... HA! 2 resets, 4 game overs, and a +15 minute finish. But hey - chat taught me how to do 7-1 skip live. So successful run! Terrible time but one cool trick. Officially BACK to speedrunning!

Then that night I did some Starcraft II. A couple ladder placement matches that I lost. I was Platinum back when I played this years ago, but I'll be lucky to land in Silver now. I just don't know the meta at all anymore, and am completely out of practice when it comes to multiplayer fundamentals. Even though I easily beat all the campaigns on Brutal just a few months ago, the multiplayer game is a completely different beast. But after that, Dustpan, Fezz, Twig and I played an FFA game, and that was a lot of fun. Looking forward to more SC2.

So... what will I stream next? Heck if I know. Likely candidates:

-More SMB3 - it's very fun and I'd like to be better at it. Don't know if I'll actually learn real speedrun strats, though.
-FFXV - I beat this game (100% achievements) shortly after it first came out, and they made a ton of changes to some chapters. I'm replaying on New Game+ to see those story updates, and I'm mixing in the DLC along the way. All the DLC pushed me back to about 50% achievement completion, so I'd like to get this back up to 100%. Really enjoyed Episode Gladiolus, so I'm excited to try Ignis and Prompto. And then to try to fight Omega....
-More SC2 matches, likely.
-Diablo II speedrun? Playing Starcraft is really making me want to play Diablo II. It's been awhile since I did this speedrun, but I didn't have a good time, so playing it again could be a lot of fun.
-Ultra-rusty DKC2 comeback race vs. Namux. At least, we were thinking about it until he played the other day and got a 49 which is way better than I could do right now. So I don't know if I have the courage to face him.


But as for speedgoals:
-I'm 90% sure I'm going to move on to Mega Man games. I love them. Finishing the perlers (see my pictures on twitter) and listening to some of the music is just putting me in the mood. I think it's about that I finally get to this goal.


Casually:
-I've met 4 of the characters in Octopath Traveler (Tressa, Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn). I really like this game. I don't *love* it yet though. As in, I'm not in a spot where I'm just thinking about it all day and can't wait to get home and play. I think I will get there, though, as usually I do with RPGs like this. But enjoying what I've seen so far.
-Sonic Mania Plus shows up tomorrow as well. I didn't play it when it first came out because I don't like digital copies of games. So now that I'm can actually get a cart, I'm in. People seemed to enjoy this, so even though I wasn't a huge Sonic kid growing up, I'm excited to play it.

I still don't know how often I'll stream or what my schedule will be, if any. Sorry I can't be more committal than that, but it is what it is. Likely a couple times a week, but no promises.
