Background Story:  In the summer of 1914, Conesio Ruggiero owned a farm in Rocca Pia, Rome, Italy. Congesio ran this farm day after day for a lively hold he was 20 years old. One day one of the crime familys came onto his land and tried to extort the property, Congesio not understanding denied the offer, later that night these men came back killed his first born son Angelo, and burned down the farm as a message. Congesio with his wife Elysia, and two sons Tommy and Nicky said they had to move to America since life was basically over in Italy and these men where after them. The next day, the family hopped on a boat and was brought to New York to start there new life. Upon arrival they had a small one room apartment, and Congesio got a job as a fruit merchant. About a month later Congesio wanted more, he wanted his family to live the American dream. That’s when Congesio met two men Riddicio and Gianluca Enzo. The three men all wanted the same thing and they started there very own illegal gambling racket amongst the Italian community, of course everyone gambling was poor but the three men made more than enough for a better life, and this is how it all started. About 10 years later The Ruggiero Crime Family has made a name for it self as being one of the biggest New York Crime Families they strictly dealt in high roller gambling, and extortion. The family was inducted into the commission and Congesio would soon learn the ways of the Italian-American mafia. Buisness ran for many years. It’s now 1990 and the heir apparent Nicky Ruggiero who is 60 is running his dads buisness, although they’ve expanded from operations in New York, to Italy, and now Miami where Nicky resides. Nicky took power in 1956 when he was 26, Congesio was shot due to a debt he needed to collect. Nicky brought the family into the 20th century with the cocaine and heroin trades of course still doing gambling and extortion, Nicky made the family big, feared and respected. Now the family is more or less all old experienced members who won’t start problems but are well respected. They run Cocaine, Gambling, Extorion and legal rackets. The family now resides in Miami, Florida.
