  1. Pippa sits nervously in anticipation on her hastily cleaned couch. It still has Cheeto dust on the cushions and Starbursts between the cushions, but she hopes Lisa won't notice. Soon enough her crush would be visiting and she had done her best to turn what could only be described as a nest into a home that could pass as a normal human dwelling.
  2.
  3. It was ten minutes until their off-collab and she was trying her best to shove the candy wrappers under chairs and throw the dirty dishes into cabinets; her dishwasher had remained full of dirty dishes for longer than she could remember.
  4.
  5. When the doorbell rang, she nearly fell out of her filthy office chair. She tried her best to straighten her jacket, which had remained unwashed for at least a month, into something resembling what a functional human could wear. She forced a smile and opened the door.
  6.
  7. "Hi Pippa, it's CHIIIIIkafuji LIIIIsa!"
  8.
  9. Pippa's heart skipped a beat. Maybe three or four.
  10.
  11. "C-come on in, Lisa..." Pippa said as she tried to kick garbage out of the hallway with her heel. "Sorry for the mess."
  12.
  13. Lisa did her best to avert her eyes from the utter disaster which was the structure Pippa called her home. She maintained a cheerful smile as she stepped over lines of ants and averted her gaze from a fist-sized spider watching closely from the ceiling. Pippa meekly led her to her living room where her decaying couch sat in front of TV which had seen most of its time showing second-hand VHS tapes of cartoons and bootleg 90s anime.
  14.
  15. She had come to help Pippa with some music analysis before Pippa released her original song. But there was something more important at hand. Pippa couldn't live like this. Countless fools had tried to fix this rabbit before and none had come close to succeeding. Lisa knew she had a responsibility.
  16.
  17. She sat down next to Pippa on her couch. Dust (and possible mold spores) spewed from the cushions. "Pippa..." Lisa said softly, as she scooted closer and forced eye contact. "How can you listen to music, let alone make an original song, when you're living in a dump like this?"
  18.
  19. Pippa turned her eyes away. She knew what she was like. She knew how she lived.
  20.
  21. "No one can fix me..." She thought that was something she said to herself. But she said it out loud. To Lisa. Next to her on her flea-ridden couch.
  22.
  23. "You may be a little broken, Pippa," Lisa said as she moved herself to a more advantageous position. "You just need a helping hand." Lisa purposely threw her leg over Pippa's lap. "Let's start by washing your jacket..." Lisa looked Pippa in her eyes (despite Pippa's best efforts to break eye contact) and slowly unzipped her jacket...
  24.
  25. As the zipper to Pippa's jacket came down, so did her inhibitions. "Lisa, I-I.." and she clumsily shoved her face towards hers in the world's most awkward attempt at a kiss. Their noses collided and their teeth nearly made contact, but Lisa managed to pull away in time. Pippa's heart dropped. "I'm so sorry, I-I don't know what I was thinking." Tears came to her eyes.
  26.
  27. "Pippa..." Lisa said softly. "All you had to do was ask." Lisa moved in for the kiss. Pippa's heart melted as she felt Lisa's lips against hers. If it had melted then, she couldn't describe it as Lisa's tongue found its way into her mouth, unbrushed tooth and all.
  28.
  29. She lost track of how much time passed. Was it five seconds? Ten minutes? She didn't care as she dissolved into Lisa's embrace. She knew her life was in a terrible state but that intrusive thought had vanished the moment Lisa touched her.
  30.
  31. "Come with me, Pippa." Lisa had an authority about her when said it, and she took Pippa by her trembling hand. After a dozen steps over crusty brown carpet, they were standing in front of Pippa's bed. Well, nest. It was little more than a pile of blankets and thrifted stuffed animals stuffed into the corner. Pippa felt ashamed, but before she dwelled on it for long, she was face down in the blankets that hadn't been washed in months.
  32.
  33. What happened over the next few hours was indescribable. Lisa turned Pippa from a filthy rabbit into a filthy woman. Tongues finding their ways into mouths and unwashed, unspeakable places... Pippa could never have imagined it. She was utterly winded and the stained blankets had more stories to tell.
  34.
  35. Lisa pushed down Pippa's shoulders. Pippa was panting with her eyes barely able to focus. "You stay right there, Pippa." She didn't have much choice. "Time to wash your blankets. Then... maybe a bath."
