  1. The foods that you eat each day need to be enough to maintain the needs of your body and should be foods that provide nutrition, vitamins, essential minerals and water. Eating too much food at any one sitting will undo the good efforts of your exercise program. Eating foods with empty calories will slow your metabolism and decrease your energy level making it difficult to do the exercises. To lose weight it is not necessary to starve yourself. In fact, starving yourself will only make your body go into survival mode and store fat rather than let it be burned in an effort to protect you.

  3. Using exercise to keep your metabolism levels high combined with eating properly will insure a return to high levels of energy and a body that is toned and trim. You really cannot accomplish this without exercising on a regular basis. The exercise does not have to be boring or dreaded but can be a time for a fun activity.
