  1. Don't manip Squirtle
  2. Turn on Switch before the run
  3. Get PC Potion
  4. Flash Start before leaving Pallet Town to skip a cutscene
  5. Don't kill anything on Route 1
  6. Don't leave Route 1 without catching a Pidgey, can also consider grinding for one on Route 2 (higher levels on average)
  7. Nickname your Pidgey
  8. Get 3+ Potions before Sammy
  9. Swap Pidgey to the front before Weedle guy and split exp
  10. Weedle Guy: Tail Whip + Tackle spam
  11. Don't mess around with getting Torrent, too dangerous with lower level
  12. SKIP Liam!
  13. Heal to full before Brock, can also consider center if poisoned and want to conserve potions
  14. Brock: Bubble spam, split exp on both pokes
  15. If you have two slaves, consider letting one of them dying on Onix to get a free switch in
  16. Rock Tomb should do around half
  17. Mart: Buy 3 Pokeballs, 6 Potions, 2 Antidotes, 1 Para Heal and 5 Repels
  18. Switch to set
  19. You don't need to split any more exp, just tackle the first caterpie on L2-3 pigi
  20. BC 1: Tackle spam then Gust spam
  21. Fight Lass over Bug Catcher
  22. Lass: Gust spam
  23. Leave Route 3 and come back to reset the lass's position
  24. Last BC: Gust spam
  25. If L4/L5 Pidgey was caught, knock Metapod fairly low, then switch to Squirtle and finish it with Bubble
  26. You should be L12, barely not L13 after this last Bug Catcher
  27. Get Persim Berry
  28. Don't fight any optionals
  29. Get Star Piece down the first staircase in Moon (high safety for Misty)
  30. Get Rare Candy
  31. Get Moon Stone
  32. Get the Revive
  33. Once you get to right in front of the rocket, if you haven't gotten an encounter yet, do turnframes until you get a Clefairy (to save repel steps)
  34. Once you encounter the L12 Clefairy, weaken it just below half health, and then start throwing balls
  35. Clefairy Catch Brackets: <65% = 40%, <47% = 50%, <22% = 62% (w/paras stun spore: 62%, 78%, 100%)
  36. Once you catch the Clefairy, name it 1 character and evolve with the moon stone
  37. Rocket: Pound x3, Pound x3
  38. Nerd: Swap Pound to Slot 3 + (Sing,) Pound x4, (Sing,) Pound x4, Pound x2
  39. Leave Mt. Moon
  40. Teach Mega Punch over Encore (Slot 1)
  41. Teach Mega Kick over Growl (Slot 2)
  42. Get cutter if you don't have one
  43. Take the center
  44. Go to mart and shop: Sell Star Piece, Buy 6 Supers, 2 Antidotes, 2 Awakenings, 3 Repels
  45. Get the Rare Candy
  46. Bridge Rival: MK + MP, MK (MP with decent ATK), MP, MP x2
  47. After Bridge Rival, heal to full, equip Persim Berry before Misty, turn to switch mode
  48. Misty: MK + MP (MP x2 if good attack), switch to Squirtle, Tail Whip + die, MK x2
  49. Try to leave Staryu with a lot of HP
  50. Starmie Water Pulse does just over ~1/3
  51. Go back to set mode
  52. Center again, teach Water Pulse over Sing (Slot 4)
  53. During this section, finish anything that lives with pound
  54. NB 1: WP x4
  55. NB 2: MP/WP (if 41+ SPATK (x/30+/14+), MP x2
  56. NB 3: WP, MK (MP if 35+ ATK at L19, x/18+/3+)

  67. Get Ether if low on kicks and likely won't make it to boat, otherwise skip
  68. Dig Rocket: MK (MP if 43+ ATK at L23), MP
  69. Get Rare Candy
  70. Youngster: WP (MP if 44- SPATK at L23), MK (MP if 40+ ATK at L23)
  71. Take boat heal if low on kicks or HP
  72. Boat Rival: MK Pidgeotto, MK Raticate, MP Kadabra, MK Ivysaur (range)
  73. Take Boat Heal again if less than 3 kicks or pretty far from full HP
  74. Teach Cut to cutter
  75. Get Bike Voucher and go back to Cerulean

  77. Open bag + register and use bike and bike east
