  1. Lufia II Any% NMG/No RNG Manip Stump:
  2. -The game has a cult following, probably on a similar level to games like EarthBound & Golden Sun.
  3. -The run is fairly fast-paced by retro turn-based RPG standards - movement & combat are quite brisk, with the only major source of downtime being the cutscenes.
  4. -Nearly all non-boss enemy encounters can be avoided via AI manip and/or technical movement, which give the run a similar flow to other well received retro RPG runs like Chrono Trigger & Super Mario RPG.
  5. -Boss fights use a wide variety of tools & strategies (due to storyline-related party changes & how the game's equipment-based special attack system works) and rarely feel 'samey'.
  6. -Donation incentive options, while admittedly not on the same level as most retro SquareSoft RPGs, do still exist - the main character Maxim can be renamed, there's a Pokemon-style monster companion system that can add up to 7 nameable monsters for 10 total minutes of detours (plus a bidwar for which is used in the battle party, that can be rolling throughout the run if desired), a notorious late-game sidequest called 'The World's Most Difficult Trick' can be added to the route for only a few minutes, and some wild glitches can be shown off post-run (including one to 'beat' the game in 1-2 minutes).
  7. -My run of this game/category was fairly successful at RPG Limit Break 2023 for viewership/donations, and has had great VOD viewership (3rd highest view count among that event's VODs).
