  1. Man. This is just what the doctor ordered! Finally, a day for me to just kick back and relax. I walked out of the castle towards one of the many sunny beaches that were all over the planet we docked on.
  2. Shiro and Allura have really been bearing down on all of us to get "Truly synced" with our lions during battle drills. But me and Blue are like a dynamic duo! Lance and Blue. Lancelot and The Blue Bomber. Lance-man and Blue-bird. Or would it be Blue-lion? Anyway, I'm gonna surf 'til the sun goes down, propping my makeshift surfboard on my shoulders I couldn't help but grin. It's too bad Hunk or Allura couldn't join me. Shiro wanted to stay behind and help Coran with the repairs and refueling. That left Keith. Or moreso, I left Keith. Hunk said Pidge went out earlier to do some research. That girl's a weird one. Who wakes up early to study...when you have no obligation to do so?? I still can't believe she is a girl, sometimes. She just seems like one of the guys. I let out a sign and went on my way.

  4. I walked along a sandy little road running through a forest, sunbeams cutting through the shade, until I I heard the sound of waves. I slipped through some underbrush on the side to finally find myself at the beach! I looked out at the bright white sand, when something caught my eye. It looked like clothes. Very familiar stuff, too. My grin turned to a look of confusion as I went to investigate. It was then that it hit me. "Pidge?" I muttered. Suddenly, a form broke out of the surface of waves.
  5.
  6. Her hair flew up in a short arc, the water droplets glimmering in the air. Her chest suddenly seemed...more noticeable, as she inhaled deeply, only being covered some sort of strapless training bra that clung tightly to her. The water slid down her body showing off curves I'd never seen before. It was so small and dainty. She opened her eyes and smiled, I assume because she didn't see me. That's Pidge? The little nerd who I met months ago? I dropped my board and waved at her from the shore, she was coming back in when she finally noticed me, her face turned super red. "L-L-Lance?!" She squeaked, dropping instantly back into the shallows of the water "W-What are you doing here? How'd you find me?" I scratched my head and shrugged "Well, I didn't mean to. I was looking for the beach and...I saw your clothes. Is this what passes for studying these days?" She shook her head while waddling out of the sea "I mean, I was studying! But...after I found this place..." She glanced down for a second, fumbling with her fingers "I thought why not go for a swim, ya know? Training has been pretty rough these past few days." She let out a soft sigh, her face glistening with water, still incredibly red. Then she looked back up at me. Oh man. What is happening with her? What's happening with ME?

  8. "So what do you say we keep this place a secret for just now, huh?" She took a few more steps towards me "The last thing I want at least for today is Hunk rambling about what's to eat, or Coran telling me some old story about military camp chores." Oh wow. She's actually really cute! She clasps her hands together, waiting for a reply. All I could do is shrug my shoulders and mumble "Sure! Lets just you and me hang out today." Her face brightened up as she smiled "Cool! Let's go for a swim! I built these awesome goggles because I found these neat underwater formations. They look like coral, but I'm not sure what they are, and since I can't bring my glasses underwater..." She started her usual rambling, as she pranced back into the surf. My shoulders finally dropped and I couldn't help but stare at her splashing away. I slapped my hands on my head, slowly following her. I don't know how to feel. Normally when I'm dealing with a cute babe, I'm like, the Mac-Daddy of Suave. But this is Pidge we're talking about! Then she turns back towards me and shoots me this smile, and then...all my weird feelings go away, and I just wade in after her.
  9.
  10. We spent the whole afternoon out at the beach, swimming and goofing off. We got to talking and it turns out Pidge is like, the coolest chick ever! She can climb up these weird alien trees, and she managed to catch this freaky looking fish thing with a jury rigged fishing rod! She could even surf! Kind of. Not really. She fell off the board multiple times, actually. And the waves weren't even that big. But boy did she try!The sun was finally starting to set, and me and her were just relaxing next to this rock outcropping. The surface was smooth and cool, as we nested together on the sand. "Wow, this was great! I'm glad that of all the guys who could have found me, it was you, Lance" she said, leaning on my shoulder. Aww jeez. That weird feeling is back in my chest again. "Heh heh...yeah well, you know me. I'm a pretty chill dude." I couldn't help but notice her body even more now that it was so close. The sunlight made her skin glisten softly, her hair draped over her face in a wet mess.
  11. "Kinda sucks that we'll just be back to training tomorrow..."
  12. "Well, hey, we're in this together, right? I'll be there to pick up your slack."
  13. "My slack? You're funny Lance. Instead of being a paladin, maybe consider being a clown?" She chided.
  14. "Hey now, don't go picking fights you can't win, Pigeon." I nudged her. She lifted her head and gave me this mischievous look while balling up her fists
  15. "What, you think you could take me? Seriously?" I stared her down casually "I know I could."
  16.
  17. She bopped me on the nose. This girl thinks I'm playing. I grin while giving her a little slap and she tries to retaliate. I catch her wrist as she lets out a playful squeal. "Let go, you loser!" She brings up her other hand, but I quickly catch that one too. She's laughing now. "Timber!" I cry out, before dropping my body on her "Lance! No! Ugh!" I flop down, leaning over her, staring at her eyes. I've got her arms over her head now, completely covering her body. I stare at her eyes behind her glasses, and suddenly that weird feeling comes back. Her laughing has died down now, and now she's just staring back at me. It was hard to tell since it had gotten a bit darker, but I think she was blushing again. "Alright...you got me." she whispered, her chest heaving up and down. I could smell her this close now. It was like a flower drizzled with sea breeze. I came in low, not even really thinking. My eyes closed, and felt her lips on mine. I felt her arms tense up, before relaxing almost immediately. It was only a moment before I pulled back up. That weird feeling in my chest really bubbled up all over now. "Wow..." Pidge sighed. She closed her eyes, as if she was still in the moment. I glanced around, and it was nighttime. Listening close between all the nocturnal murmurings, I heard the familiar beep of our comm devices.
  18.
  19. "Hey. We should probably be getting back now, huh?" I said as casually as possible, getting off Pidge and extending a hand to help her up. She looked up at me, only to quickly turn away. Couldn't tell for sure, but I'd bet money she was blushing her heart out. She looked at her stomach while reaching a hand out. It was so small and delicate. I gave it a little tug, and she rose up into my arms. She just rubbed her head into my chest, making little giggling noises. I couldn't help but smile and sigh, giving her little head pets. "I know. I know. The Lance-man just kissed you, it's a big moment and a lot to take in, but-" Suddenly she pushed me away and gave me this smarmy little look "The Lance-man? Oh no. That's just terrible." She then came back in and gave me a quick peck. As she pulled away she whispered "If anything, it should be a honor for you." She then gave me this cheeky little smile. And all I could do was shake my head.

  21. How'd this all happen? I just wanted a day to surf and rest my weary bones. Next thing you know, I'm on a weird half-date with my co-pilot/bro, who happens to be a chick? And that atmosphere...the kiss...Crud. I feel more worn out than before! And now I'm carrying a sleeping Pidge back to the ship. I plodded along the sandy path again, surfboard under one hand, Pidge laying on my back, and a bag of clothes in the other. It was a struggle, no doubt. But then I'd feel her breathe ever so gently near my ear, feel the rise and fall of her tiny body. And I was renewed with strength! All and all, I guess this was a pretty good day. I just wonder if there will be more like it.
