  3. #Building
  4.
  5. ##General
  6.
  7. For builds, check [this page](http://www.smite.guru). While building in Smite is very situational, grappul offers a nice basic build that off of which
  8. you can base your own, optimized build. If you want me to go into details on a certain item / on all of them simply say so and I will.
  9. ##Useful items
  10. **Blink:** Blink is really nice on Geb as it allows you to get the most out of your ult and provides a great way to initiate fights even when your ult is down.
  11. #Skills
  12. ##Skilling
  13. Keep in mind that everyone has their own preferences and that the "best" way to skill is the one that best suits your playstyle. There are, however, some basic guidelines that are worth following, which are what I'll try to list below.
  14. ###Priority
  15. 4>2>1/3>1/3
  16. ###First five levels
  17. 2-1-2-3-4
  18. ###General
  19.
  20. Don't skill until the very second that you're going to use it. Keep your skillpoint ready incase the enemy tries to invade / your team needs you. Be ready to put a point in your escape ability if you need to get out quick: it's better to
  21. lose out on a little bit of earlygame power instead of giving away first blood.
  22.
  23. ##Hard as Rock
  24. Crits only do +25% damage to Geb, rather than the normal +100%.
  25. ##Roll out
  26. Geb turns into a mass of rolling earth, damaging and Slowing enemies he encounters, stopping at the first god he hits. He increases speed as he travels, his damage scaling from 50% to maximum over 3s. Once at his top speed, Geb becomes CC immune, and will also Knockback enemy gods.
  27. ##Shock Wave
  28. Geb creates a shock wave, which ripples out from him in a cone, causing damage and Knockup to all enemies. The damage decreases the further the enemy is from Geb, down to 50% at the maximum range.
  29. ##Stone Shield
  30. Geb targets himself or an ally to put a Shield around. The Shield blocks all damage and lasts until its time expires or it takes enough damage to be destroyed. The Shield also cleanses any CC when applied.
  31. ##Cataclysm
  32. Geb pulls apart the earth, dealing Magical damage to all enemy gods based on a percent of their current Health, and Stunning them.
  33. #Tips
  34. ##General
  35. Geb is a great support, as he has everything a suport could possibly want. Most people only see Geb as a shield-provider and horribly underestimate the insane damage he can do and the great rotations potential he has.
  36. ##Passive
  37. Your Passive allows you to stay relevant late and not get instakilled by ADCs. There's not really a trick to using it, it's just a very useful passive if you're up against hunters or other enemies with Crit. The one thing this allows you to do, is body block more effective than other supports later on.
  38. ##Rollout
  39. Rollout not only provides you with great mobility but also applies a slow, knocks the enemy back and does good damage. Early on, you might want to use rollout to help clear the wave, as it does very good damage. Especially if the wave is already low on HP it's a good way to finish the wave off
  40. and get close enough to the enemy to set up a potential kill. Keep in mind that you only get max damage at max roll speed, so if you're going for a gank, start your roll out early enough to get to max speed. You wont have CC immunity before you're at max speed either, so starting it early enough is
  41. important regarding the CC immunity as well. A potential way to do this if you're in lane, is to roll against a wall at a 70° angle. This will allow you to build up speed, get your CC immunity and quickly roll around to the side of your enemy to make sure that you'll knock him the right way. Rolling into walls is also ver useful when you're trying to turn quickl in the jungle. Just face the wall and "roll" against it. This way
  42. you can turn relatively quickly.
  43. ##Shock Wave
  44. Shock Wave acually does a lot of damage, and the CC on it is often underestimated. This will be the ability you max first, as it provides you with lane clear and poke damage. The closer you are the higher the damage, so both for wave clear as well as poke you'll want to get close (if you can). While the knock up
  45. isn't as effective as the stun on your ult, it still has it's uses. If your teammate is getting pressured, your knock up can slow the enemy down so that your mate might just make it. If you're chasing someone, you can not only hold them inplace for a second, but you can also burn time on any movementspeed buffs they might have,
  46. as well as stopp certain escapes which don't make the enemy CC immune (e.g. Agni dash). In teamfights, you can use this skill to disrupt the enemy team, espeically their damage dealers. Combining this skill with a blink-in cataclysm, you'll be able to stopp the enemy from using any skills for
  47. quite a while, allowing your team to set up a great position, if not kill them. Make sure that you hold onto it if multiple enemies / the key targets have used their beads and knock them up once their beads have run out. If you have an Awilix on your team, she can pull someone off of your knock up.
  48. ##Stone Shiled
  49. Geb's signature move, and a move that is used completely wrong at lower levels. The main use of Geb's shield is not the damage that it tanks (although that's very useful), but the cleanse it provides. That's acually not entirely true, but if you use it with that thought in mind you'll
  50. get the most out of it. If your teammate is stunned or frozen in bad position, you can throw your shield on them to cleanse the CC and provide them with a little extra health to tank the follow up hits. Keep in mind that the CD is quite long, so don't waste it. A mistake that I often see beginners make, is
  51. using the shield rigth as you engage into a fight, hoping that it will tank some of the damage their teammates might take. While this might be useful in some secnarios, the shield doens't provide too much health until later into the game, and it can easily just be waited out, so don't fall for that trap. Instead, either wait for the
  52. CC (as mentioned before), or use it to save your teammate from strong burst attacks (e.g. Kracken). Keep in mind that you'll also cleanse them from any slows they might have, so you can help them out of things like a Poseidon 3 or an Ah Puch ult as well.
  53. ##Cataclysm
  54. This skill is your main initiation skill late game. Together with blink, this is devastatingly brutal. If you can catch multiple people iny our Cataclysm, they'll be stunned for almost two seconds and you'll deal 35% of their current healht. This can very easily
  55. completely turn a lost fight into one that you can win. As mentioned before, it's exceptionally useful in combination with shock wave, as if the enemy doesn't beads, he'll be held in place and rendered inable to use his skills for almost 3 seconds.
  56. Don't hold onto it too long though. I often see players being hesitant in using their ult, as they're scared that they migth waste it. If you have a team mate who can follow up on it, taking off 35% of someone's health and stunning them is never a waste. If you build even just a little bit of CDR your ult will be on
  57. a shorter cooldown than purification beads rank 3, so even if they do beads out it's worth it.
