> There are generally three ways in which a player might be disconnected by the wonders of the DayZ gods :
> - *Client Crash*: A player immediately disconnects and is returned to the main menu or desktop. This is a client crash, welcome to DayZ.
> - *Server Crash*: During gameplay the player receives a ‘no message received’ message for 10seconds and is then returned to the main menu. This is a server crash which will lead to it immediately restarting in normal circumstances. The server will roll back in game time slightly after restart.
> - *Scheduled restart*: To maintain optimal performance, the server is scripted to restart every four hours and also immediately after a workshop author updates their mod. You will be warned of these restarts by in-game messages.
