  1. 08/06/11 01:16:05 Apollinaire: Cool character :> I like french things
  2. 08/06/11 01:19:40 Jacques Pierre: Oh lol I actually hate French things. It's just such a stupidly popular trend right now I thought Id poke fun
  3. 08/06/11 01:20:00 Apollinaire: why do you hate french things?
  4. 08/06/11 01:20:11 Apollinaire: that's prejudiced >:
  5. 08/06/11 01:20:23 Jacques Pierre: Because Im racist
  6. 08/06/11 01:20:51 Apollinaire: oh
  7. 08/06/11 01:20:58 Apollinaire: maybe you should see a doctor can't they cure that now?
  8. 08/06/11 01:22:46 Jacques Pierre: I sorta like being racist actually. It lets me know what sort of people to avoid. Like people who like french things for example.
  9. 08/06/11 01:23:06 Apollinaire: but you're talking to me right now >: it's not doing you very much good
  10. 08/06/11 01:23:18 Apollinaire: because I like french things you see
  11. 08/06/11 01:26:07 Jacques Pierre: To be fair you do sorta strike me as a bit of a twit
  12. 08/06/11 01:26:39 Apollinaire: no I don't use twitter
  13. 08/06/11 01:32:15 Jacques Pierre: Thank goodness for that. I dont know if even 140 characters is short enough to make you and your french things seem interesting.
  14. 08/06/11 01:33:26 Apollinaire: you don't have to bite my head off I was just trying to make conversation >: you seem really angry about french things for some reason
  15. 08/06/11 01:33:44 Jacques Pierre: I told you
  16. 08/06/11 01:33:46 Jacques Pierre: Im racist
  17. 08/06/11 01:34:07 Apollinaire: but that's just a symptom of the larger problem right?
  18. 08/06/11 01:34:12 Jacques Pierre: Sure
  19. 08/06/11 01:34:13 Apollinaire: I mean what made you racist
  20. 08/06/11 01:34:17 Apollinaire: was it your childhood?
  21. 08/06/11 01:34:18 Jacques Pierre: The disease of hating french people
  22. 08/06/11 01:34:30 Apollinaire: but why >: did a french person hurt you or something
  23. 08/06/11 01:36:27 Jacques Pierre: Yes all of the tacky french alts running around furc personally hurt my sensibilites. Theyre worse than the werewolves
  24. 08/06/11 01:37:12 Apollinaire: how so?
  25. 08/06/11 01:38:55 Jacques Pierre: Because like any trend they are all cardboard cutouts of each other. Take a few quotes from a book (dont worry you dont have to actually read it or know what its about) stick some french words in there and youre done. Some of these idiots actually think les mis is about the french revolution.
  26. 08/06/11 01:40:16 Apollinaire: you seem to know a lot about french things for someone who hates them >:
  27. 08/06/11 01:40:29 Jacques Pierre: Know thine enemy
  28. 08/06/11 01:41:08 Apollinaire: well they're not really your enemy if you just hate them though >: it seems like you're harboring a lot of hatred for a group of people that don't know or care that you exist
  29. 08/06/11 01:41:24 Jacques Pierre: I am
  30. 08/06/11 01:41:38 Apollinaire: that makes me feel sad >:
  31. 08/06/11 01:42:30 Jacques Pierre: Now you know how horribly made unoriginal alts make me feel. We just increased the amount of knowledge in the world together.
  32. 08/06/11 01:42:32 Apollinaire: besides your points are kind of invalid, I mean france didn't have just one insurrection
  33. 08/06/11 01:43:41 Apollinaire: how can you really tell if an alt is unoriginal just from its description though? What about character background and details and personality? Some people are capable of maintaining a character identity that's not entirely dependent on their appearance
  34. 08/06/11 01:44:54 Jacques Pierre: lol my 'points'. Sure some people can. And some people can stick some french words into a desc and tidy it up with some flowery prose from a book theyve never read.
  35. 08/06/11 01:45:41 Apollinaire: how do you know they've never read them >: the only way I can imagine someone might come to that conclusion is through personal experience
  36. 08/06/11 01:48:30 Jacques Pierre: Because people who read and digest books like les mis know that theyre not about the french revolution. Because its obvious from some peoples desc that they chose lofty sounding titles to make other people cream themselves over how well-read and intelligent and deep they must. Admittedly french people arent the only ones with his problem. Atlas Shrugged is another one. Bloody Wuthering Heights is too. Anything deemed classical literature is quickly snagged by idiots looking to impress other idiots with their oh-so-elite taste.
  37. 08/06/11 01:50:26 Apollinaire: why do you keep talking about les mis? I've never read it nor confessed to >:
  38. 08/06/11 01:50:32 Apollinaire: it sounds like you just don't like classical literature
  39. 08/06/11 01:51:01 Jacques Pierre: lol did you think I was attacking you personally? Im sorry. I thought we were talking about shitty french alts and posing hipsters in general
  40. 08/06/11 01:52:16 Apollinaire: No, I'm just making it clear that I can't really follow the reference :>
  41. 08/06/11 01:52:33 Jacques Pierre: Oh. Well for future reference its set a hundred years after the french revolution
  42. 08/06/11 01:52:39 Jacques Pierre: and dont let anyone tell you otherwise
  43. 08/06/11 01:53:13 Apollinaire: I thought it referenced the june rebellion though
  44. 08/06/11 01:53:22 Apollinaire: that's a revolution, in france
  45. 08/06/11 01:54:43 Jacques Pierre: "the french revolution" and "any revolution that happened in france" are two totally different things and if the person who did read les mis and flaunts their knowledge of the french revolution doesnt know that they're an idiot. The june rebellion was a student uprising, independent of THE french revolution.
  46. 08/06/11 01:55:03 Apollinaire: oh I know, I just don't understand why you're tunnel visioning les mis so hard
  47. 08/06/11 01:55:17 Apollinaire: are you referring to someone in particular? I've never heard anyone claim it took place during THE revolution
  48. 08/06/11 01:55:57 Jacques Pierre: Because it is the most recent perpetrator of this crime in the race to become king of the shallow easily-interchangeable hipsterdom movement
  49. 08/06/11 01:56:03 Apollinaire: oh I see
  50. 08/06/11 01:56:50 Apollinaire: I guess I can agree though, many people seem to steal concepts right from classic lit instead of creating their own ideas
  51. 08/06/11 01:57:05 Jacques Pierre: Especially the damn frenchies
  52. 08/06/11 01:57:43 Apollinaire: I saw a character a while ago that was almost a carbon copy of faust >: it made me sad like french things make you sad I guess
  53. 08/06/11 01:59:02 Apollinaire: it was like a magician that bartered his soul for more power
  54. 08/06/11 01:59:08 Apollinaire: I was like, ugh, so unoriginal
  55. 08/06/11 01:59:33 Apollinaire: and byronic heroes too, they're everywhere and they're all exactly the same
  56. 08/06/11 01:59:42 Apollinaire: just silly, why even make a new character
  57. 08/06/11 01:59:59 Jacques Pierre: Theyre everywhere cause theyre easy. Ophelias and draculas and fausts and odile and its all disgusting
  58. 08/06/11 02:00:07 Apollinaire: just play the characters you're copying like some anime nerd playing naruto
  59. 08/06/11 02:01:53 Jacques Pierre: lol pretty big words for someone whos name is some old dead french poet
  60. 08/06/11 02:03:18 Apollinaire: I just like the name >: and the quote fit my character idea
  61. 08/06/11 02:03:26 Jacques Pierre: lol I bet it did
  62. 08/06/11 02:03:31 Apollinaire: those are some highly personal words though from someone who claimed not to be attacking me personally
  63. 08/06/11 02:03:36 Apollinaire: also that should be "whose" dear
  64. 08/06/11 02:03:38 Jacques Pierre: well here
  65. 08/06/11 02:03:41 Jacques Pierre: Ill let you know
  66. 08/06/11 02:03:48 Jacques Pierre: Im attacking you personally as of five minutes ago
  67. 08/06/11 02:04:00 Apollinaire: why would you do that? >: have I done something to offend you?
  68. 08/06/11 02:05:29 Jacques Pierre: Yes.
  69. 08/06/11 02:05:39 Apollinaire: I didn't mean to >: what was it?
  70. 08/06/11 02:05:50 Jacques Pierre: Played a damn dirty cheese-eating frenchman
  71. 08/06/11 02:06:09 Apollinaire: I'm lactose intollerant >:
  72. 08/06/11 02:06:22 Jacques Pierre: So a smelly dirty cheese-eating frenchman
  73. 08/06/11 02:06:29 Apollinaire: no that means I don't eat cheese
  74. 08/06/11 03:30:44 Apollinaire: ugh if you want to see a shitty french character look at that guy beside you haha
  75. 08/06/11 03:32:05 Jacques Pierre: Theyre all shitty. If you take the time to point every single one out to me you will be whispering me a whole lot more than I would appreciate.
  76. 08/06/11 03:32:47 Apollinaire: oh I know but he's like extra special bad am I right lol
  77. 08/06/11 03:32:50 Apollinaire: ugh
  78. 08/06/11 03:34:06 Jacques Pierre: Extra special bad when compared with someone who cuddles with their own alts because no one else will life-partner with them? lol sure. a new level of bad, totally.
  79. 08/06/11 03:34:39 Apollinaire: excuse me? >:
  80. 08/06/11 03:35:23 Apollinaire: why would you think that I'm cuddling w/ my own alt
  81. 08/06/11 03:46:53 Apollinaire: aw what happened to your description >: I thought it was funny
