  1. I've done extensive timings and calculations comparing the Entei and Raikou routes in Crystal glitchless, and Raikou comes out 32 seconds faster on average. While Entei has a slightly better top end because of Iron Tail, Raikou appears to be the clear choice for anyone with a sane goal time.

  9. Entei was previously used because we did not have RNG manipulation for dog stats, making it impossible to rely on Hidden Power. Now each dog has a manipulation that involves saving and quitting, then hitting a 3-frame window and executing precise movement. The stats for each of the frames is listed below, formatted as HP/Attack/Defense/Speed/Special.

  21. Raikou's main advantages are:
  22. - Better offensive coverage saves ~11 turns in fights
  23. - Better defensive typing saves ~25 seconds in healing time and HP bar lowering time
  24. - Full set of powerful 100% accurate moves saves ~20 seconds in PP healing
  25. - Shorter cry saves 11 seconds
  26. - Almost no risk even if you're going for a top time

  28. Raikou's main disadvantages are:
  29. - The Hidden Power TM takes 52 seconds to get
  30. - Its moves produce 35 additional seconds of "super-effective" or "not very effective" text
  31. - Its moves lose 7 seconds to having long names
  32. - Extra Kanto Fly and movement loses 10 seconds (this is done to get Crunch for Sabrina)
