- This will not be a manga you read for some fun escapism or humorous adventure. It's a labyrinth of the worst of humanity, a Lynchian-story told non-linearly across different timelines but also connected to one thing: the butterfly. I won't claim I understand it completely and it will definitely take several readings to truly take it all in. Mainly, it follows a girl named Arie, who probably has the most unfortunate life of all time, and is portrayed in different manners throughout the story, and to me she's meant to be less a consistent character than she's an allegory for the exploring acts of rape, murder, sacrifice, and other equally vile things. It's a whole bunch of stuff that will make you sick to your stomach
