Bye-Bye See You Tomorrow Summary (Reira 18 -Seika 19)

Meanwhile, after learning the truth from Kyuubey, Reira returns home. She's relieved to find that her mother isn't home.

>Reira: (I'm sorry...Mom...for doing this to the body you gave birth to...I'm really...sorry...And...)

She apologizes to Seika too, for being an idiot, becoming a magical girl just to find out Seika's secret, and doing so with the life that Seika had saved.

Her tears won't stop. She feels awful for what she did to herself. She also realizes how terrible Kyuubey is, comparing the contract to that of a devil's. Just then, her phone rings. It's Mito. She wonders whether or not she should answer the call.

[Choices:

A) Don't answer the call from Mito
B) Answer the call from Mito

First, A]

Reira can't bring herself to answer the call.

Reira decides to ignore Mito's call. But that's not all. She decides to avoid seeing Mito anymore altogether.
She doesn't want Mito to get involved anymore, or something else will happen that can't be undone.

>Reira: (Sorry...Mito...I'm cruel, aren't...I...? But...at least Mito will be...)

She decides the only path left for her is to continue to fight witches. Without getting anyone else involved, without anyone knowing, she'll keep fighting until her life burns out...

Reira decides she wants to hear Mito's voice.

After learning the truth, Seika, like Reira, went home in tears and in shock. Although she had been prepared for being in a completely different world and life after becoming a magical girl, she never thought that it would affect the body too.
Not just that this happened to her own body, but to Reira's. She thought she had saved Reira, and yet, in the end Reira ended up with a fate worse than death.

She blames herself for what happened. If she had only paid more attention to her surroundings, or if she had answered differently to Reira's questions...

Seika sobs, apologizing to Reira.

Then she gets a call from Mito. She apologizes since she can't answer right now, but she knows she needs to talk to her one last time. She doesn't want Mito to get involved anymore.
Seika decides to calm herself down before calling back.

[Choices:

A) Stay in the room
B) Go out to the roof

She decides to stay in the room. After enough time passes...

Seika stays in her room and tries to calm down. But she keeps thinking of all the bad things she's done to Reira and Mito. And then at some point, she loses the motivation to even talk to Mito. She's scared of doing anything.
Eventually, she stops spending time with Reira and Mito altogether. She's convinced herself that she shouldn't bother with other people anymore. Just witches. There's no other path left for her but to fight witches.

Seika decides that some fresh air might help her calm down.

Mito 16

Seika goes to the roof to calm herself down. But no matter how hard she tries, her head just keeps spinning. As she wonders what to do next, Reira calls out her name in surprise.
They ask each other why they're there. Reira explains she's there to meet Mito. Just then, Mito arrives, pleasantly surprised to Seika there. She was going to ask Seika to come too.
She scolds Seika for not answering her phone. Mito then comments on how this is the first time since their argument that the three of them met there.

Just as Seika is about to tell Mito something, Mito reveals that she became a magical girl too.

Mito 17

Mito reveals that she also became a magical girl. Naturally, neither Reira nor Seika is happy to see her transform. Mito's not surprised that they're mad at her for doing so. She asks if that's because she's not normal anymore.

>Reira: ...Not normal...wait...
>Seika: Mito...it can't be...!?

Mito apparently heard the truth too. That soul gems contain souls, and as long as you have magical energy, your wounds will heal. She was shocked to learn this too. But the same applies to Reira and Seika. Reira tries to tell Mito that that's why she shouldn't have become one too, but Mito argues back that she doesn't want to be the only one out. She apologizes for her outburst and tells them that she knows they're just worried about her, but she just had to do something about Reira and Seika.
She reveals that she thought that the two of them were fighting and didn't care that she was going to move. Well, the latter was just her teasing them.

Anyway, she didn't want things to end like that. And she knew that one of the causes of the strain in Reira and Seika's friendship were witches and magical girls.

>Mito: So I was wondering if there isn't something I can do with my own power...
>Reira: You're saying that's why...you formed a contract...?
>Seika: Mito...because of us, you...
>Mito: No! Don't think that way!
>Seika: But!
>Mito: This is...what do I call it...what you'd call fate...! Somebody had to do something...
>Reira: Somebody had to... do something...

Mito asks them to hold hands. She's going to show them the power she obtained through her wish. Reira asks her what she wished for.

>Mito: You see, it's... for the "power to connect hearts"!

The three of them hold hands. A bright flash of light blinds them. First, Mito says, it's Reira's turn.
They're at the park in Seika's heart. Mito explains that she thought that if their hearts connected, then they'd become friends again. She knows because she's been with them for so long. So she wished for the power to connect one heart to another.

They see Seika. Mito explains that that's a representation of how Seika feels about Reira. That Seika explains how she was so unsure and lonely after moving to the housing complex. She was bad at talking to other people and always alone, so she didn't know what would happen. But Reira and Mito changed her life. She explains that they saved her from suffering of loneliness. Therefore, when she learned that she could save Reira by forming a contract, she didn't hesitate. No matter what happened to her, she was saved that day.

Seika 19

While Seika feels like Reira's in her heart, she is in Reira's heart. They were connected by Mito.
Seika and Mito are in the park in Reira's heart. Mito points out that both hearts contain the same place, and then, just like above, shows the representation of Reira's heart to Seika.

This Reira tells Seika that she was just worried, since it looked like Seika was worried about something and she feared that Seika get caught up in some incident. She wanted to help Seika, convinced that there was something she could do. But Seika wouldn't tell her. Reira understands that it wasn't like Seika could tell her that she had died. Reira apologizes for being an idiot, relying on a wish instead of just talking to Seika more.
Seika says that she's the one who should have faced her fears and spoken to Reira. The one who drove Reira into a corner was Seika.

>Reira: Seika...I just...wanted to help you...my beloved...friend.
