  1. Echo.
  2.
  3. Step, step, step.
  4.
  5. A dark and lengthy hallway led the way, down in the desolated facility. Lifeless, save for Aiko the small demon prancing along through the corridors in infinite curiosity and wonder.
  6.
  7. It then split into numerous paths, crossroad after crossroad of tiled floors and walls in each and every direction. So many venues to explore, so many things to discover; her impatience defeated her inability to choose, picking a random direction and setting off in an instant.
  8.
  9. Not long after, she came across a doorway beside her on the hallway, door resting on the ground with its hinges rusted off. She peeked through the doorway to still find the same lifelessness of the facility that she had now grown used to, though quite a mess lay present inside. A mess with so much potential for searching and discovering things, be it valuable or mundane. Desks, papers, drawers, all menial to the eye which she rummaged through without second thought, finding forgettable items like scissors, clippers, pen and pencil, all so boring to see in such an environment.
  10.
  11. 'Nya.'
  12.
  13. In an instant she stopped, not moving a muscle. For a second she could swear she heard something, a voice echoing about.
  14.
  15. But as much as she paid attention, she heard it no more. Something which fell, mayhaps? And thus, she continued her search.
  16.
  17. 'Oya oya.'
  18.
  19. There it was again, stopping her once more. There was no mistake, something was out there. Leaving the pile she had made, she peeked out the doorway just to find noboy in either direction.
  20.
  21. Her gut feeling told her not to ask, not to raise her voice to see who could be there. At that moment, however, by the merge of hallways she had just been at she saw a shadow passing through in a rush, with footsteps to match. A small silhouette, yet still humanoid. A girl, if her eyes didn't deceive her.
  22.
  23. Her interest for the search had died down completely, replaced instead by the intrigue of whoever was with her in this building. She stepped out the doorway and headed to the crossing of the hallways, but once there she found nothing at either side. Must've been quick enough to escape sight; in a rush, or wanting to avoid notice?
  24.
  25. Then, a rush of steps could be heard far behind her, making her turn her head. Again she saw nothing, but she knew there was someone in that direction as well.
  26.
  27. Whatever it was, perhaps it wouldn't be too much of a loss to not meet it. Avoid it, even. Turning about, she decided that the path she had not heard those things in would be the best one.
  28.
  29. But as she tried to take a step, something tugged at her leg, making her trip. It still held a firm grip, not letting go; she had not tripped on something, but rather, something had grabbed onto her. On the ground she turned her head to face it, to find it as someone's hand. It belonged to a girl who smiled at her, lying on the ground just like she was; a girl with cat ears and a shirt with a tie, with an earphone from which a microphone extended.
  30.
  31. Eerie. It wouldn't let go, no matter for how many seconds the two locked eyes. It began to run a chill down Aiko's spine just to look at the strange being, but soon enough it slowly opened its mouth.
  32.
  33. "...IDW da nya."
  34.
  35. Before Aiko could even question what she had said, she spotted another pair of eyes in the darkness.
  36.
  37. "IDW da nya." It said, its silhouette revealing a carbon copy of the girl which held onto her leg.
  38.
  39. Then, a third one, saying the same thing. A fourth one, a fifth one, more and more joining in at an ever increasing pace.
  40.
  41. Dread and terror surfaced in Aiko, snapping out of her shocked state to turn and attempt to escape, only for the the girl's grip to be too strong. So strong, in fact, that it had begun dragging her towards the horde. A horrified scream escaped Aiko, entering panic as she tried to claw her way out, ruining the tiled floor only for it to be for naught, leaving a trail with her nails on the ground as a chorus of a hundred million voices shouted over each other, each one louder than the last
  42.
  43. "ID̺͒̏W ̶̛̐Ḍ̺͈A̧ͫ̊ ͬṄ̛ͩY̼͗A̮!̀̀̀"
