CLEM: obviously, due to the fact that her birth name is clementine, the nickname CLEM came up. the first person to ever call her by this common nickname was her older brother, nick because he thought clementine was too much of a mouthful. ever since then, this has been the name used by teachers, students, and her family alike as sometimes her real name, clementine, is too much to say at once. in fact, she would people much rather call her CLEM than clementine. she thinks it fits better.

WINNIE-THE-POOH: it's all because of two very specific things. the nearly yellow shade of her doe eyes, and because she personality mirrors that of winnie-the-pooh. plus, when she was younger, she loved the show so dearly, that she picked up the phrase "oh bother." now, she doesn't use it as much, but if you somehow manage to get to cry, than she'll most likely ey say the phrase after she's finished wailing.

RAVEN: "this is a mockery of everything i've built as society's resident shoulder to cry on" are words spoken by clementine herself once her school mate, seo haseon, began to call her by the nickname RAVEN. she got this nickname because of her jet black hair, nothing more and nothing less. but clementine absolutely hated it, which makes people only want to call her that more. she doesn't like it because she believes it tarnishes her rep as uber friendly (even if she's not uber friendly all the time) because RAVEN sounds dark, and mysterious.

PERSONALITY:

―STUBBORN:
clementine isn't one to just give up on something. that's not in her programming as a human being. she throws her all into people, and doesn't take the hint when some people just don't want it. clementine doesn't like to just let go of things, in fear that something bad will happen if she does. it's almost as if, the more you tell her to move, or do something that she doesn't want to do, the more she'll plant her feet in the ground and refuse to move.

―WELCOMING:
clementine has dealt with a lot of shit all of her life. people have never really been the nicest, and most open to her. especially after she moved to south korea where people judged her personality solely on her appearance. clementine doesn't want to be like that. she wants to spread positivity, and love, and good ass vibes. to draw to people nearer to her instead of just pushing them away, and judging them for minuscule things.

―COMPASSIONATE:
clem loves people. she loves being around people. feeding off people's energy, and giving others love. though she can get in moods where she just wants to be alone, and doesn't feel like being warm, and open, but those are about as rare as double rainbows. most people believe that she actually deep, deep, deep down even cares for serial killers she shows that much compassion for other people. she is a beacon for love, and caring for one another despite background, social status, appearance and much more. clem cares for everyone. even if just in the slightest.

―CURIOUS: she likes to know things. she's always wanting to be in the know, and when people leave her in the dark about things it triggers her anxiety. she's the kind of person who craves knowledge in all senses, and when she meets someone she wants to know every little detail about them. when it comes to her taste for adventure, and discovering new things, she's completely driven by pure curiosity. clementine loves to figure things out.

―EXTROVERTED:
clementine shin is a people person. through and through. she isn't afraid of approaching strangers, and engaging in conversation with them. clem is a girl who fears no rejection, so being the loudest and most buoyant person in the room comes naturally to her. this all comes from her childhood where people pushed her away because she was persian, and refused to know her on the inside, because her exterior isn't what they knew to be fimiliar. and the only way she was able to be seen was through her radiant energy. through being boisterous, and extroverted, and not fearing approaching new people to make friends. if she didn't adapt this habit, than our clementine most likely wouldn't hand many friends.

―GULLIBLE:
you could tell clem that the sun is actual just a gigantic cheeto floating through the air, and give it a few minutes of hard hitting explanation, and she'll believe you. she's not hard to trick whatsoever and she believes so much in people, and that they'd never try to deceive her that she just goes with whatever people say. though clem doesn't believe everything she hears (she believes majority of what she hears), she's an adult that still knows right from wrong. clem won't get into cars with strangers, or hitchhike, but you damn well know she'll consider it for a few minutes.

―LOYAL:
let me break this down for you: clementine shin is an actual puppy dog. there. the secrets out. she's a puppy. she tends to cling to people, and never leave them. not for anything. sometimes this can cloud her judgement, however, in example, she's so loyal to a certain person sometimes that she completely overlooks all of their major character flaws. which, plays into her character trait of GULLIBLE as she tends to believe whatever her friends say because her loyalty is so strong. it's both a positive and a negative thing at the same time.

―IDEALISTIC:
the world is gross. it's full of malice, hatred, deceit, murder, rape, and so much more. so, when people only see that when looking around, instead of seeing all the beautiful alongside it to focus on, it gets her upset. she's an idealistic person, meaning, though it can come across as just being pure naive, clementine pursues unrealistic ideals because they make her happy. it makes everything in such a dark world just a bit brighter. clem is an a bit starry-eyed, and she's never afraid to admit that.

―SELFISH:
clementine doesn't have the best intentions to why she does what she does. it all circles back to her fear of confrontation, and being disliked. she puts on this facade as this always open, compassionate, honey toned girl (and though she is), her reasoning for being that way is so people don't dislike her. yes, clem loves people. she loves being there for people, and drawing them near to help them work out their issues, but she also loves living her life in the safety of never having to be confronted. and being the girl that everyone likes. and if she has no reason for people to dislike her, than she's safe. she's kind for herself mostly. not always because people just need kindness.

―OVER-PROTECTIVE:
her overprotectiveness isn't necessarily a good thing. when clem has something, or someone in her life, she doesn't just let it go. for anyone. when there's someone special in her life, she prefers if they stick to her by her side at all times, and don't leave her. ever. which in general is just being overbearing and clingy, so she trying to work on that. however, it can turn into a easily flip into a good thing. this character quality often leads clementine to keep her friends in healthy mental states, eating good, and drinking plenty of water. as she's so overprotective towards those she deeply cares about, she tends to lead them away from danger, both eminent, and in the future. if she does this for selfish reasons like wanting that person all to herself, or for their own well-being, it's hard to tell.

―KIM SEOKJIN HUMOR:
clem makes jokes that really no one else finds funny, but herself. and their usually puns. really, really bad puns. dad jokes aren't really her thing, but if she makes one, just expect your body to physically react to the amount of cringe she's about to bestow upon you. clementine has the brand of humor that most people find wretched, but it's so bad that it makes people laugh. she's pretty bad at making "actual" jokes, so she just makes weird jokes that people don't really understand, but it's clementine so they laugh.

―INDECISIVE:
the girl really can't make up her mind. she switches easily between things, and finds it genuinely difficult to make real-life decisions. this often puts her in both uncomfortable and unpleasant situations because she's never able to make up her mind about anything. when people give her things to choose from, especially if it's something of high importance, she'll just push it away until eventually she doesn't have to answer anymore (which never usually happens).

―DYSLEXIC:
clementine suffers from a bit of a reading disorder known as dyslexia. dyslexia, by prose definition is: a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence. however, she specifically struggles with reading. it doesn't help that korean isn't her first language, either so she often had to go to tutoring everyday in school because reading and writing was such an issue. clementine much pay close attention when people speak as to pick up every word that they say so she doesn't end up confusing herself. a joke clem often makes is that when people scold her in korean, she isn't able to pick up half of the things they're saying. though it can sound funny, she literally can't half of the time. however, she does work on this constantly, and reads often to help herself.


BACKGROUND:

BIRTH through TEN.
          clementine shin, born clementine alessia gurria, was birthed into a family of her mother, ester, her father, amir, and her older brother, nicholas, or nick for short. she was born on a snowy december day in manhattan, new york in the dead middle of the night. clementine was a noisy baby girl with no real reason for crying she just did. sometimes, she wanted her mom, and other times she wanted her dad, and even occasionally she wanted her older brother who was three years old, and couldn't do shit, but she still wanted him. and sometimes she wanted nothing but attention. into her toddler years, she was a very shy child. most people besides her immediate family scared her, and she avoided them at all costs. which is quite surprising seeing how she is currently in her adult years, but we digress. clem mostly stayed at home in her living room, coloring out of the lines, and drawing on walls in blue crayon. however, clem stayed underneath her brother. never leaving his side. she wanted to do everything that he did, play with him at all times, and once she even tried following him into the bathroom. nick was her favorite person, so when clementine had to go to school, and she had to part ways with him, she flipped. school was actual hell without nick. everything was absolute hell without nick. as she grew, her parents relationship with clementine wasn't nearly as healthy as it should've been. both her parents worked very hard to provide for the family, but failed to realize the neglect that it caused for both of their children. plus the added fact that her mother and father constantly fought. about anything, and everything. food, the kids, parenting skills, anything you could imagine, her parents disagreed on it. their fights would last for hours, and hours on end. running around in circles with their words. her parents divorced on may 26, just a few days after their wedding anniversary.

TEN through FOURTEEN.
          clementine's mother, ester farhad, was a beautiful persian woman with eyes of gold and the most warm smile in the universe, so it didn't take time for men to begin flocking to her after she divorced amir. however, she wanted to focus completely and totally on her children and be the loving mother, and a comfort for them as she hadn't been in the past. and she did. for two years at least. those two years were spent for clementine growing academically, becoming vegetarian, working on her dyslexia, spending more time with nick (although he was fifteen at the time and didn't want to hang out with his little twelve year old sister anymore). life was casual for clem. she went to a relatively decent school, had a close-knit group of friends that, for the most part, were great to her, and her home for once felt like home. that was all until minhyuk, or hyuk as he introduced himself, came strolling into her mothers life. he was 6'3, had midnight black locks at her styled upwards, warm chocolate brown eyes, and was from daegu, south korea. hyuk would be working at her mothers job for a year or so before returning back to korea once the full year ended. ester would always tell her daughter about the little crush she had on the "cute asian boy" from work. and although the only man clem knew with her mother was her own biological father―whom had picked up and moved away to the midwest by this time in clem's life. however, all the young girl wanted was to see her mother beam with love again. ester hadn't been so giddy since her husband left. ester invited hyuk out surprisingly, and he accepted with a smile. though his english wasn't completely perfect to where he could speak for hours and hours on end, ester didn't really care that much. the two started dating six months later. on total year late, when clem was thirteen, in august, ester and hyuk declared two things to the the children; they'd be getting married, and moving out to hyuk's hometown of daegu. you could imagine clementine's shock, and dismissive attitude that emerged on the subject. she didn't want to move away to korea. she didn't speak korean―it was hard enough to speak english as it was―and if you asked thirteen year old clementine to point out south korea on a map, she'd probably point to thailand. she was ignorant in that sense. though all of ester's family lived out in persia, and the only real tie keeping her children there was their father, whom didn't seem to care that much anyways. they moved out to daegu just a few days before clementine's fourteenth birthday.

FOURTEEN through NINETEEN.
          growing accustomed to living in daegu was difficult to say the least. first of all, learning the language was one hell of a barrier. of course their step-father spoke the language sometimes and attempted his best at teaching both nick and clementine, now called bomi mostly. but this was constant korean, all day every day. ester struggled along with the kids, but as they soon came to realize that this is what they'd be speaking for god knows how long so they better start taking classes and getting their acts together. second of all, the culture between america and south korea was very different. insanely different at that. clementine was often discriminated against for her middle-eastern appearance (despite the fact technicality wise, she is west asian), and was teased about her features. such as, her ethnic nose, and straight golden eyes. and academically wise, she suffered because of her dyslexia. many things lead to her initial hatred for living in daegu. clem even threatened to move back in with her father out in south carolina to get away from having to live with hyuk in korea. however, she never followed through with anything after seeing her once emotional drained, and broken mother so happy with her new husband. seeing her mother so completely in love with this man made her cease all sorts of dislike for daegu, and put more effort into learning not only the language but her step-dad's culture as well. though her school life wasn't the best as she struggles reading hangeul, she did learn korean, and came to love her new home.

NINETEEN through TWENTY.
          clementine has lived on her own since her graduation on june 16, and she moved away from daegu to live out in seoul. hongdae, to be specific. at first, clem wanted to attend college. she wanted to major in marine biology, start working at an aquarium, and eventually get a fish tank built into her mansion home that she bought after discovering a new breed of sea otters. that was her goal in life. however, she was scouted by the modeling company she is currently under while walking the streets of hongdae after getting her morning coffee. at first, she didn't want to do it. thinking that she wouldn't get many jobs, and modeling was too demanding of a profession. but after conversing with her mother and father about it a bit, she decided she should at least give it a shot. and she's been in that profession ever since.


LIKES:

―THE COLORS OF LAVENDER & MAROON: not just purple, but lavender. she doesn't really like regular purple, don't ask her why. she won't give you an answer because she just doesn't. her "real" favorite color is black, but since people say black isn't a color she tells them maroon instead of they can shut the hell up.

―PINK SUNSETS: specifically pink sunsets. she thinks that the colors of pink, orange, and the beaming sun calm her down and balance her auras. all that hippy dippy shit that her aunts always talked to her about. though, she enjoys pink sunsets, she specifically enjoys them when it's a bit colder outside. if she disappears in the evening, it's probably to go watch the sunset.

―BUBBLING WATER: instead of regular stiled water, clem drinks bubbling water. claiming it makes her feel boujee and like she's "got hella money", clem prefers the water that'll bubble in her mouth.

―HORROR MOVIES: freddy, jason, ghosts, ghouls, monsters and demons; clementine loves them all. watching horror movies is pretty much her favorite past time, even though, after she watches them she can't sleep alone because she fears that whatever she watched is going to come after her.

―THE OCEAN: who doesn't love the ocean? however, clem has a different type of relationship with it. as she always lived in the cities, and never out near the calming beaches, and clem has always had a great appreciation for the ocean. for the sand, for the wildlife, for the cliffs covered in greenery; for all of it really. that's why ISLAND is going to be the time of her life. the ocean is around her all the time. fun clementine fact, she's always wanted to move to busan and get a house near the water. the ocean is that special to her. that she'll uproot everything just to be near it.

―CHRISTMAS: everyone just always seems so much happier during christmas. the lights, and the foods, and the all around warmth of everyone never ceases to bring a smile to her face. clementine begins preparing for the holidays in september.

―BIG DOGS: any big dog, she's probably loves them. growing up she had leonberger named asparagus (don't ask, it was nick who named him) and she loved him to absolute death. he was quite messy and often chewed up her things, but clementine only saw that as charming. he slept in her bed at night, and was like a walking teddy bear. he passed away just a few months after her mother and minhyuk got married and was heartbroken, and two months before she moved to seoul to model more, her family got a newfoundland named bambi and clementine misses him more than she misses her own family sometimes.

―THE SMELL OF GASOLINE: it's weird, don't ask her why she likes it. she just does.

―SEVENTEEN: well fucking duh. fun clementine fact, she actually used to bias wen junhui, or jun, but changed her bias during the 'mansae' era because hansol’s voice was too lively and and unique o pass up.

―FOOTBALL: clem was born in america so she means with the almond shaped ball, not the english way which makes most sense. per mentioned, her brother played football, so she's always loved the sport. her biological father was always in love with watching the games on tv on sunday when they came on. when she was younger, she didn't understand the big deal with football, in fact, she believed it was just a bunch of buff guys pushing each other around and bleeding a lot but once she started attending her brothers game, clem began to genuinely enjoy watching it.


DISLIKES:


―GINGER: anything ginger will make her vomit. if there's ginger in her tea she'll probably puke, if there's ginger scent in the air she'll get queasy. she's not exactly sure what it is but if there's anything ginger near her then she'll feel/ get sick. this leads her to have an extreme hate towards ginger.

―GRAPEFRUIT: it's just gross man.

―AEYGO: in the wise words of clementine bomi shin, "it's not cute. it's forced. please stop." it's not that the being cute as a whole makes her upset, but it's the fact that some people do it in complete seriousness. as a joke, it makes clementine laugh, but when some one does it for real, it makes her uncomfortable.

―LIARS, CONS, THIEVES: her family home was robbed a lot back when she used to live in new york so she has a special place of hate in her heart for all who think it's okay to manipulate, and steal from people. clementine can deal with most of her other dislikes, but this is just the one thing that she can't stand.

―PICK UP LINES: she doesn't like greasy things, so why would she like pick up lines?

―COLOGNE: it really depends on what type of cologne it is but majority of it makes her literally want to rip her nose off and throw it into the nearest garbage disposal.

―BITTER ASS BITCHES: if you haven't noticed, clem isn't korean. she's one-hundred percent persian. however, she did grow up in daegu, south korea and has spoken korean majority of her life. the children at her school would often make fun of her skin color, or her near yellow eyes. nowadays, there are just some bitter ass bitches that don't appreciate the fact that a persian girl is a model. which is more so just racism. however, clementine just chooses to ignore them.

―THE DARK: do i really have to explain why she's afraid of the dark? tHE DARK IS JUST TERRIBLE! THERE ARE SPOOKY, SCARY THINGS ALL AROUND THAT WANT TO KILL YOU. OF COURSE SHE'S SCARED OF THE DARK.

―DRIVING: cars give her anxiety. it's simple.

―WHEN PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF HER ACCENT: she has a strong daegu dialect since she was taught in that dialect, and there's not much that she can do about that, but people still make fun of her for it as it's not common. seoul accents are much more common than daegu accents by far so when people hear it they immediately giggle and say it's cute, but for some odd reason that bothers clem. it's just her way of speaking and when people poke fun at it, she'll get quiet and scrunch her face up

TRIVIA:
―occupation: model under eseutim. has worked with brands such as adidas, etude house, tony moly, puma, skin food, supreme, bsx, and missha.
―she absolutely hates ketchup, and mayonnaise, so she puts mustard on everything.
―clementine at once wanted to change her name because she absolutely despises it.
―she speaks in a heavy daegu dialect and people often make fun of her for that.
―she has a strange fear of balloons, don't ask why, but they stress her out, and whenever she's sees them, clementine will try to get as far away as possible.

―she has a extremely bad back, and has to take special medicine before bed every night so she can sleep through the pain. (this is all because of an injury she got as a child)

ACTIVITIES ENGAGED:
―FOOTBALL: despite her relatively small stature, she's always loved football. not necessarily the getting slammed into a full speed, but the culture, and general aspect of the game, are what makes her so attracted to it. plus, her brother played it, so she practically grew up on it.
―SKETCHING: not drawing, but instead sketching. the rough outlines of people, objects, and buildings is what she prefers. no, she's not fantastic at it, but it's something she enjoys. she's working at it diligently.


ACTIVITIES NOT ENGAGED:
―COOKING: clementine can't cook for shit. she once nearly burned her apartment down because she forget to add water to her ramen. if you ask clem to describe herself in a scenario, that would be the scene of her choosing. whatever she tries to cook, she ends up burning herself or the food. and it doesn't help that she's easily forgets things. so, don't put clem in a kitchen, she'll somehow find a way to burn down the drapes.
―RUNNING SPORTS: clem loves football, but the girl can't run to save her life. her horrible back, added with the fact that she has zero stamina only add to this. while running, she'll usually trip over her own feet, and fall, or run out of breath twenty seconds into running and must stop. this is something that she's trying to overcome and work at. it's not working, but she's trying.

— LOVE INTEREST 🌙

LOVE INTEREST: HANSOL VERNON CHOI/ VERNON.

HIS PERSONALITY: hansol choi is a guy with many, many layers. on the outside layer he can seem a bit like an asshole to those who don't know him. if he's not close with you than don't be surprised when he doesn't pay you much mind at all. some say it's his crippling awkwardness around strangers that causes him to act this way, and others say he just doesn't care. but it's the first that is the true reason. the thought of hansol struggling with human interaction can be difficult for some to comprehend, but it's the honest truth. once he warms up to you he can become a close companion, and someone to rely on, but it takes a bit to get him there. you've got to give him a bit of time. another personality trait that people tend to overlook is the fact that he really is not all that innocent. no, he's not a complete perv who walks around spewing out dick jokes and humping anything that moves, but he is an adult. he just chooses to pretend that he doesn't know anything than randomly show that he does through accidental words and actions. clem notices this fact occasionally as well. sometimes he'll say something sexual, than smile with his perfect teeth and act like he didn't know what he just said. like it just happened by accident. alongside his major awkwardness/ assholeness around strangers, hints of being a complete sex fiend, hansol is a goofy guy. he cracks jokes, and makes strange noises for fun. he never fails to make the situation lighter, and the air more breathable. hansol can find the good in almost any situation. he's got a taste of adventure, and loves going places he probably shouldn't be.

HOW HE ACTS WITH U WHEN THE CAMERAS ARE ON: hansol acts more 'best friend' when the cameras are on. he jokes a bit more, touches her a bit less, and he treats her generally more like a close friend. it's his natural default when talking to his members on camera as well, so clem wasn't an exception. he didn't really know how affectionate he was allowed to be with her (as well as the fact that his fans probably wouldn't be to thrilled his he was all up against her), so he just didn't so clem any physical affection at all. of course, he speaks with her, and can carry on conversation filled with inside jokes and deep topics, but in a way, he still maintains his distance. he doesn't want to get to close to this girl that he develops feeling and/or causes outrage among fans. so, though he maintains his physical distance, his emotional distance is almost nonexistent. but the minute that clementine says a dumb pun, he's cackling like a hyena and rolling on the floor in laughter. they play really well with each other.

HOW U ACT AROUND HIM WHEN THE CAMERAS ARE ON: clementine doesn't change when the camera are on versus when they're off. she acts literally the exact same. though, she does feed off of hansol's vibes of not physically touching besides a hug and maybe an arm-lock every now and then. however, she is a person who loves physical contact. to be close with people. so, instead of actually touching him, because he obviously doesn't want to be touched on camera, clem will just simply stand closer to him. sit just a little bit nearer to his body. she's with her idol on an island for crying out loud, she wasn't just going to let this opportunity to be close to him be passed up. though hansol also filters his words, clementine doesn't really. she doesn't have anything to hide.

HOW HE ACTS WITH U WHEN THE CAMERAS ARE OFF: when the cameramen check out for the night, and or the cameras around hansol disappear, not only does his entire physical demeanor change, but so does his emotional demeanor. he's not constantly touching up against clementine, but hansol isn't afraid to accidentally rub against her when their in private, versus when camera are around. he's able to be break down his walls a bit more and show his true self when he's not being bombarded by cameras, and the quiet voice in the back of his head isn't demanding that he doesn't physically interact with clementine. along with the calmness of his physical being, hansol even flirts a bit. nothing jurassic that would even be noticeable if you didn't know their playful relationship, but he has a lot more fun when the cameras are gone.

HOW U ACT AROUND HIM WHEN THE CAMERAS ARE OFF: the exact same, as i mentioned. clementine doesn't care if people are watching or not. but she can just visibly tell that hansol enjoys himself much more when the cameras are gone, so that makes her smile bloom just a tad more. his flirtation goes right over her head, however. again, as i've mentioned, a bit of a dunce.

hansol to clementine:
—clemen-mine: it's honestly gross. hansol made this up as a play on her name, clementine, and calls her this on camera because she honestly hates it so much. it makes her entire body cringe, and she physically reacts to the name. plus, all of the other people on the island laugh when he says it, and she responds which makes him want to call her that even more.
—tiny: the 'tine' in clementine goes into this nickname. she's not necessarily short, not at all really, but hansol just calls her tiny because it just fits with her name.
—bear: fun clementine fact, she snores. kind of loud. like a bear. plus, she always sleeps like a bear, meaning that when she sleep, she sleeps deeply. it takes at least thirty minutes to wake her up.
—orange: get it, cause her names clementine.
—shin: it's her last name. hansol uses this with her when they go on their little adventures because he says it makes her sound more like an explorer. clementine isn't that much of an "explorer name", but shin apparently is.
—bombie: her korean name—used majority by her school friends, and those who don't know her well (in fact, it's the name she tends to introduce herself as)—is bomi. with another 'b' in it it sounds like bombie. so, hansol calls her bombie.

clementine to hansol:
—hansolie: just something cute that clementine calls hansol. for fun that is.
—choi~ (pronounced almost like chewy): because hansol has really cute nicknames for clementine all the time that he just makes up on the spot, clem decided to take some notes from jisoo, and try and come up with something fun to call him. instead, she completely blanked on ideas, and just decided to call him choi in a really annoying tone of voice.
—choi: it's his explorer name !! even though it's literally just his last name !! and yes there is a difference between this and choi~ !!
—bermuda: because once you give something to hansol, don't expect him to get it back. he looses everything all the time.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOU: to be honest, hansol didn't immediately like clementine's personality. he thought it was just a play up for the camera, and to make herself seem better. but, he quickly learned that that's just how he acts. nothing clem did was a play up for the camera. that's just the way that she is. however, when he first laid eyes on her, hansol did think that she was very, very beautiful.
