- Elegy For A.R.E.
- I tried to write for you, you know,
- About high hills, and valleys low.
- And now it is that I must go.
- Now, people I would wish to know,
- And places I would hope to go,
- And faces I have come to know:
- All are memories.
- I came here not so long ago,
- The faces all did seem aglow.
- The food would win awards at show.
- The staff, they like to take life slow.
- Here, spirituality grows,
- And I seem to go with the flow.
- All are memories.
- The dance hall became my Dojo,
- The hours spent there seemed to slow.
- The nights when the bright moon would glow,
- The days when wind and rain would blow,
- The days would stretch, the beards would grow.
- No one stays mad, no one should row.
- All are memories.
- I leave them all behind me, though.
- I wish I didn't have to go.
- I truly wish it wasn't so.
- I tried to write for you, you know,
- About high hills, and valleys low.
- And now it is that I must go.
- All A.R.E. Memories.
