What A Shame

He knows.

Or, at least

That's what I've been convincing myself

It's not that he's been saying anything

That would imply so

But there has been glances

Small shifts on movements

A slight lift and lows

Of the tones of their tongue

When he thinks that I am not noticing

But I do

I am trained

Experienced

Forced

To notice this

To notice it all

And sadly

I noticed that

He knows who I am.

And they are not happy about it.

If I am correct in this

And I know I am

Then he will approach me

Soon

But I'm afraid

Both for him and myself

It's not me

He will encounter

He knows what I am

How unfortunate

I was looking forward to

just having fun together.
