>”So, what’d you gather us all up for, Liby?” Lupa says, as she sinks into a beanbag chair in Liby’s room.
>Liby had gathered Lupa, Lemy, Lacy, and Lyle from the park.
>”I was searching for video evidence that Lemy broke the television, when-“ Liby begins.
>”You didn’t find any because I didn’t.” Lemy interjects.
>”The investigation is ongoing!” Liby shouts. “Anyways. While I was looking for the video evidence that that occurred, when I discovered this unmarked video tape.”
>”So?” Lacy says, a bit upset that she was torn from her game with her cousins.
>”My mom does not leave tapes unmarked.” Liby says approaching the vcr in her room, before looking over her shoulder. “And what I found was disturbing.”
>Liby puts in the tape and hits play. “Get the lights,” shouts Lupa.
>Lyle turns them off as the screen shifts to a green nightvision field, the header says ‘hatching site 1’.
>A foam-covered object begins to wriggle and move, before releasing a long worm-like creature. Upon escaping the object, the ‘worm’ sprouts legs and cleans the foam off of itself.
>Murmured wows and cools are spread across the room.
>The film cuts to another scene: the worm has seemingly developed, thickening and growing more rounded, lacking little semblance to its previous appearance.
>A yellow-suited person walks into the screen, prompting the worm to hide.
>The person looks about, seemingly for the worm, when the camera gets a look at them: it’s Aunt Lisa!
>”What’s she doing there?” Lyle asks.
>”Shhh! It’s getting good.” Lupa says.
>”Get our of there!” Lemy yells as Lisa turns around in the film.
>The worm leaps out of a crevice at Lisa, knocking her to the ground and the film cuts out.
>The lights turn on at that moment.
>”Don’t leave me in the dark, kids.” Luan says. “What’re you watchin’?”
>”Uh, uh, nothing!” Liby stammers as she ejects the video.
>”Oh. Okay... Liby, don’t forget that Aunt Lisa is coming over for dinner tonight. You said you would help.” Luan says.
>”Sure. Can you leave now?” Liby sighs exasperated.
>”After I get a hug!” Luan says as she approaches her daughter.
>Liby sighs as she holds out her arms.
>”Oh, here’s that tape!” Luan says as she grabs the tape from the vcr.
>”Oh? You were looking for that?” Lupa says.
>”Yeah, Aunt Lisa wanted me to make her a video. She’s bringing your new cousin over.” Luan says.
>”She was pregnant?” Lacy interjects.
>”Well, technically, there’s not really a term for- anyways. Be nice. Have fun.” Luan says as she hurries out of the room with her video tape.
