  1. I would say yes, for sure, but because it takes hard work and focus to develop talents, IQ is certainly not the only thing that comes into play when it comes to developing talents. You'll often see very intelligent children with ADHD underperform their true potential, because this population finds it hard to remain focused on tasks. On the flip-side, many individuals with autism show "savant" traits because many individuals with autism become hyper-focused and obsessed with a single topic to the exclusion of others. This facilitates the development of talents, because of all the time such individuals choose to devote to a single area of study or to a single skill.

Of course, there is much diversity among people with these disorders, and many people have both autism and ADHD and/or do not fit the stereotypes, but the point is that some people have an easier time developing talents regardless of IQ because they may find it easier or harder to focus on that area long enough to become great at that one thing.
