  1. (ALL VIDEOS INVOLVED IN THIS WILL BE LINKED AT THE END)
  2. OK. This all takes place August 8th, 2022, when my best friend Sprong (Who I still talk to, to this day) Introduced me to these types of games. Obama Games. They were small little 2D games to where you move your mouse and interact with things to move/interact. For some odd reason, I kind of liked these games. He started me with Obama RatFace Operation, which is to this day, my favorite of the 80ish games that they have.
  3.
  4. The Competition:
  5. My first run was a 2:29.400, which was not at all good compared to WR, which was 1:46.667 by Sprong. I kept playing Obama Ratface Operation, and soon enough, I got good at it. He soon came out a couple hours later with a 1:45.033, with a new strat that I found in El Chupo's Room, with a strategy called The Escape Method (or for short, TEM). 1 day after I found this and Sprong got his 1:45.033, I came with a 1:44.767. It was a shock to the whole community, considering I had only played the game for 1 day. My other friend, LMC, had also played the game, but he didn't play it as much as me and Sprong. LMC got a 1:48.933, making Me 1st, Sprong 2nd, and LMC 3rd. We were all competing for a better time, when i came out with a 1:44.533, and then a few days later, Sprong got a 1:43.733, a monumental time which beat the previous world record by 0.8 seconds. a couple weeks later, and I couldn't beat it, and the best time I got was a 1:43.833. But there was something that was wrong with this run...
  6.
  7. The Computer Lag Controversy:
  8. After experimenting with some things, and timing things, we found out that in my 1:43.833, at the clown, I had 1.5-2.0 seconds of lag. Because of my shitty ass laptop, I couldn't do runs without saving those 2 seconds. I still continued to do runs, but to no avail, I never got the World Record. I tried all I could, but there was something that blew my mind that I could do...
  9.
  10. The Touchscreen Controversy:
  11. My laptop had a feature to where you can make it into a tablet mode. It was a normal Dell computer, (In which my mom thought was a "RGB Gaming Computer" :D), I guess she didn't know the meaning of that. Anyways, I was testing, and it turns out i could play Obama Ratface Operation with the touchscreen. It definitely helped with the flicks and mouse movements, but you couldnt spam on it, the laptop couldn't go that fast. I was talking about it to Sprong, and we figured that it shouldn't be allowed, and that a mouse had to be on the screen. We could also know if it was touchscreen or not because of the little circles that show up when you touch the screen, so those runs would be instantly disqualified...
  12.
  13. While I was on "Leave":
  14. While i was on "leave" of playing Obama Ratface Operation, There were a few people that had joined the community, such as Phoenixx216, Pocogamer, and Benmose. Benmose is a little important when it comes to this, because he found a strategy that would change this game forever...
  15.
  16. The Floor Spam:
  17. While verifying his runs, we noticed a strategy that he was doing that could save literally 3 seconds. We didn't even know that this could be possible. If you spam the floor to where you are doing movement, while you are interacting, you can skip the dialog by spamming the floor. This was monumental. It could have saved the 2 seconds that I was losing to the clown, but I decided not to do runs since I had just ordered my new PC. There was something else that Sprong found that would change this game forever...
  18.
  19. UI Glitch:
  20.
  21. UI Glitch is a glitch found in the code to where, if you pick something up, there is a chance that you can pick up another thing on that same frame, making Cheese at the end complete RNG. We to this day, do not know how to manipulate it or get it out, but one thing we do know for sure, is that this run just got a lot harder...
  22.
  23. Finally Getting my new PC after Weeks of Arguing with the Tech Company:
  24. Finally... On 11/30/22, I had gotten my pc, I instantly set it up, and downloaded all of my games that were on my old PC, to my new ones, including Obama RatFace Operation. I called Sprong, LMC, and Benmose on my new PC. I had showed my new setup with my freshly new "ACTUAL GAMING COMPUTER", which I still am using to this day. Sure I had some problems setting it up, but once I did, I instantly got to work, and started playing again...
  25.
  26. 17 Attempts...:
  27. Yes. I was on call with them, and it took me 17 attempts to get the almighty time that everyone was hoping to get. 1:42.900... It wasn't a "good run" necessarily, considering if I was on my old laptop, it would have been 1:44.900, but now that I got the new pc, I finally got the 1:42. But I wasn't done yet, and this is what I did...
  28.
  29. The Grind, and The Blood, Sweat and Tears (Part 1):
  30. Literally the next day after my 1:42.900, I got a 1:42.267. Yes, still WR, but it was still bad since on my laptop, it would have been 1:44.267, so I still had a lot of work to do. But literally that same day, a few hours after I had submitted my 1:42.267, I got the god run... I got *1:41.167*. OH MY GOD. I was so happy that I had gotten this time. Not only did it beat this WR, it also beat the laptop WR, it would have been 1:43.167. Finally, I finally got the run I was waiting for. My 1:41.167 took 85 attempts on the new computer, which was pretty good. But 3 days later, I got a **1:40.700**, and that one took 287 attempts. Oh, My, God. in 3 days, i did 202 attempts. Considering I had school AND work, this was a lot of attempts.
  31.
  32. **For the rest of these attempt numbers, they will be added by 750, which is the last attempt I did on my laptop. So that 202 attempts would be 952, but wanted to clear that up before we continue.**
  33.
  34. The Grind, and The Blood, Sweat and Tears (Part 2):
  35. After my 1:40.700, the strats were all the same, but I needed to get better at spamming, so for the next few days, I practiced spamming to get faster CPS, and different strategies to get faster. People would probably say "Just use dragclick!!!!11!11!" NO, I had a Glorious Model O, drag clicking wasn't a thing. I soon got really fast at it, and started runs again... and on 12/11/22, something tragic happened...
  36.
  37. The "So Close, Yet So Far" Incidents:
  38. On 12/11/22, I had my first "So Close, Yet So Far" Incident, to where I got 1:40.067. Damn... I was so angry, and it literally didn't take me until 1/14/23 until I finally got 1:39. But this wasn't any casual run, this run was a 1:39.667 with 0.4 timeloss on Tom in shop. I was so excited that I had finally gotten it, and I thought that I was done with it after that. But, I was looking and timing things, and turns out I can save another 0.5 in Tom in Shop by using TEM, meaning I could save 0.9 in shop alone. Sure, the first 1:39 took 2118 attempts, and I was slowly dying inside, but deep down inside, I knew that 1:38 could be technically possible. And this was one of the worst parts of my life.
  39.
  40. The 1:38 Stigma:
  41. A few weeks later, on 1/25/23, I got a 1:39.533. Your casual run basically, but this run was a little different. I had lost 0.4 in the first part of the game (Until security), and lost 0.3 in Security-End, meaning that, That run would have been 1:38.833. During some offline attempts, I had gotten a 49.967 to Security, which was the first ever, with a perfect shop. and on 1/26/23, I had gotten a 1:39.400, with a 49.900 to Security, the first one in a WR, which would hurt me forever, considering I lost 0.6 in that run... And the next day, another "So Close, Yet So Far" Incident happened. I had gotten a 1:39.067, which took 2776 attempts. I was so mad, that I took a little break from the game. But that break would last months, up to a year.
  42.
  43. The Break Periods:
  44. I first took a break until April 27th, which i tried a bunch of attempts, but I soon got burned out. Then I started playing back on my birthday, May 17th, hoping I would get the 1:38 on my birthday. A good birthday present, Right? WRONG, I didn't get it. It didn't take until November. November 15th is when I started back to the grind. I was doing a bunch of attempts, left and right, all day long. When I was officially done for that month, and I took my next break, I had gotten: 55 1:39s, 3 1:39.100s, 1:39.067, and a 1:39.033... It was so sad, but that is when I stopped. (MY 1:39.033 IS UNSUBMITTED BUT I HAD A PICTURE OF IT). January 26th, 2024, that I did some runs. In January 26th, I had 4788 attempts, which is insane, considering the first 1:39 had taken 2118 attempts, I doubled, and more, the attempt counter. And on January 28th, 2024, I had gotten a 1:39.000... It had taken 5199 attempts, and at this point, I just cried, I cried for hours, because I literally needed to save ONE FRAME. ONE... But I continued and continued, and Sprong, LMC, Benmose, and everyone cheered me on.
  45.
  46. Gold Segments: (Short)
  47.
  48. At this point, my golds were 49.467 and 48.967, which made the final time to 1:38.433, which is a time no one can ask for from anyone. But Sprong and I had an idea, that would change Obama RatFace Operation Any% Forever...
  49.
  50. The Official TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) For Obama RatFace Operation:
  51.
  52. On January 19th, 2023, Sprong and I had come up with an idea to make a TAS for Any%. We worked on it for a couple of weeks, and then Sprong ditched it... (Flip u Sprong, Love you tho <3). I worked on it for the next couple of months, and optimized it so much to the part where I got a 1:37.833, which is 0.6 faster than my theoretical best time, which is, just insane. These golds were updated on 1/26/24 which is why I am bringing this up now. But there was something else that we found that would make our consistency 100x better...
  53.
  54. The Adobe Flash Player 11 Find:
  55. We were researching, and found out that registered inputs were to be more on Flash Player 11 (You can see that on Run 2). We thought, "Why don't we give it a try?". And well, we figured out that more than 2x our inputs were registered. There was also something that LMC found that would make consistency of starting runs so much more than anyone could have believed...
  56.
  57. Tab Skip:
  58. Tab Skip was a strat found by LMC that could get you the beer bottle the first frame that you start the game. How it works: Basically you move your mouse to the position that you need (aka, where the beer bottle is), you Tab 2 times, and you press enter, and as soon as you press enter, you start spamming, and you can get the beer bottle immediately, saving around 0.2 seconds, and a flick, and better consistency.
  59.
  60. The Final Stretch:
  61. On January 29th, 2024, I was doing some runs at 9:13am EST. I started the stream up, posted it where I could, and I got to work. Stream and I were talking, and I had gotten on a couple of good runs, but never made it past security. I didn't think that today would be the day. But, something happened. I was on a run, and it was so good, I got a 49.567 Beginning. Oh. My. God. It was unbelievable. My heart rate starts fuming up, starting to get into the end game. I pushed through. Gave him the cake, spammed at 20CPS, got the pineapple. There was one thing left. Cheese...
  62. Cheese is one of (if not) the hardest parts of the run. Because of the UI glitch, it was complete RNG whether or not you were gonna get it or not. But it was it. I got a **1:38.750**. an UNBELIEVABLE Time. Everyone thought that I was gonna save a frame, and I thought that too, but oh my god did I do more. On attempt 5385, I got a 1:38.750. This run consisted of 12 flicks, perfect angles, speed that no other can do, and 20CPS clicking. It took 3267 attempts to get from 1:39 to 1:38. But I am glad to be a part of this.
  63.
  64. I am the first one to get:
  65. 1:42
  66. 1:41
  67. 1:40
  68. 1:39
  69. and now 1:38...
  70. Thank you everyone for this amazing journey, and who knows? maybe a strategy is found to get 1:37, but that is all a mystery. Thank you.
  71.
  72.
  73. Thanks:
  74.
  75. I need to give massive shoutouts to a couple people, for strats, believing in me, and overcoming my boundaries to collaborate and communicate.
  76.
  77. LMC: I need to thank you so much for the reset shortcut, the 0.2 save at the beer bottle the first 0.2 seconds of the run, and for being there the whole time I have been running Obama RatFace Operation, and being there for me whenever I was up or down.
  78.
  79. Sprong: Oh my god, I need to give you the most by far. You got me into these games, we collaborated and made the TAS, we made strats together, and overall we have just been the best of friends these past 2 years. I need to give you the most because not only are you one of my closest friends, we do a lot of things apart from Obama games together. We play a lot of games, we play minecraft, we do everything together. You have been one of my closest friends, and I love you for it <3.
  80.
  81. Benmose: I need to give you credit for the literal biggest timesave that we have seen so far, The Floor Spam. Without that, 3x wouldnt even be possible rn, we would still be at 1:41 :D. Thank you so much for finding that strat and being in the calls.
  82.
