  1. Most, save for the older residents of the city of Briggston, wouldn't even know the place existed; it was located far off a county road on the city's outskirts, obscured by a stretch of woods that had been standing in and around the area for as long as anyone could remember. Neighbors were few and far between, and most of the passersby would miss the house if they weren't looking for it. They could be forgiven, as there was little to see from the road save for the ornate gate that blocked off the forested drive.

  3. The home itself was a stately, yet oddly uncomfortable-looking three story manor, white in color with visible dark wooden supports and shingling made to match. Perhaps most peculiar were the bars placed on the windows on the first level of the home, likely placed there to deter vandals or people with otherwise bad intentions from getting inside. Though with the manor's questionable history, one could only speculate as to what their true purpose was.

  5. Ultimately, ownership of the home and a small sum of money was placed in the hands of a young man of 22 after the death of a mysterious uncle, Paul Dreher, who he had never met nor ever knew anything about. With the lease on his apartment running out shortly, he jumped at the opportunity to look into his new inheritance, however there would be no way to afford living in the manor by himself. He turned to placing ads, searching for housemates who would join him in splitting the bills and caring for the place, and perhaps also in discovering its secrets.
