- I played a fair bit of UO:R until about mid-2002 and I enjoyed it, but the good parts about UO:R was having more viable PvP templates. Sticky explo pots is terrible and hamstring is better version of stun because it's not a total death sentence.

- Arguably the server already has some UO:R features with the lp dexxers and roach mages. Going full UO:R would just be bad, insta-hit and heal through poison are good mechanics

- UOR pvp is retarded easy and I’d go back to winning alchy duels. I changed a good portion of my hotkeys specifically for the Outlands ruleset.

- I agree, while I dislike t2a, outlands is not really t2a anymore imo
- aside from instahit, with the changes to poisoning it's not like heal through poison is even as effective to be compared to t2a
- and hamstring in situational field pvp is the same as stun just shorter duration
- also, I like the fact that technically as a dexxer you have a shot here... many servers leave dexxers out of the equation and purely focus on mage v mage pvp

- LP dexxers are arguably stronger here (in a 1v1 settting)
- The good thing about UOR was template variety beyond tank mages, but we got that already - but instahit and heal through poison are good. Sticky Explo pots are bad.

- but also put take into account, this is all one persons view on their past experience and their personal likes in contrast to a hundreds of others. To have a small council of pvpers to weigh in on changes that would impact massive amounts of your players in my opinion is the wrong approach

- I thought there was a pretty good custom mechanics between both eras
- the only real thing missing is full heal through posion which is strong enough as is imo with insta hit being I was ghealing for sub 20 on syrupz earlier when he was lethal'd

- and I think stun is cheesy af
- I will argue against any mechanic that has no counterplay
- I would be fine with heat seaking explodes as long as a group can't spam someone down with them

- there were some drastic changes within the runuo free shard community that made pre uor seem like a cake walk when it was introduced in free shards - it was real fun. almost all shards had completely removed the long spell casting recovery and there was no recovery if you interrupted yourself. it was almost as apparent as equiping a halberd to do instant damage just as you could fake a harm and fast cast an ebolt. there was lots of wrestle disrupters back in the day too. i think pre uor is having a hard time keeping up with the times that now current uor shards introduce like the ability to still be a med mage/warrior, tamer mage, alchy mage, where the pvp is almost the same to the tea with its sync drops and ganking until the next round of players shows up
- variation seems more viable. i still think they need to include plate mages though
