Background:
Ri was born in China, but moved to Canada when she was three after her parents got divorced. Her parents cut off contact between her and her brother, so Ri never really remembered her brother, only knowing she had a brother and that he was overseas with the dad she never knew either. From a very young age, Ri had always shown interest in dance, so her mom saved up enough money for her to go to a dance studio that taught everything from hip-hop, to ballet. Proving a very fast learner, Ri learned multiple dance forms in the span of a few years and progressed very fast. She was competing at a national level by the time she was seven being the youngest in her dance group. When she was nine, she found out about Kpop through one of her dance teachers, Elaina, who showed her BTS, and new group who had just recently debuted. She fell in love with how both music and dancing were put together, and got deeper into the Kpop world. The first group she found was a predebut group called SEVENTEEN and fell in love with their dorkiness and talent. She followed them closely through their 17tv days, and developed quite a large crush on Soonyoung. She became a hardcore Kpop fan, and even learned the dances with some of her friends. Even though she was almost always traveling with her dance group to competitions, Ri was required to take one music class and get straight A’s; her mom was a bit of a Tiger Mom when it came to things like that. Ri always kept a bright smile on her face though. Even when things got hard, she would remind herself that she would get to the other side soon, so just smile. Funnily enough, she was scouted in the street when she accidentally started a flash mob dancing to SEVENTEEN- Adore U outside of the building SM was holding global auditions.

Personality:
Even though she’s very short, Ri is commonly mistaken for someone who’s above fourteen. While she may look mature and sweet, once you get to know her, she’s completely different. A total tomboy, she is completely against skirts, dresses, pink, etc., and will never be caught dead in such things. Instead, she chooses to wear more boyish clothing and prefers to hang out with the opposite gender. Instead of going out with the other girls and shopping, she would much rather just stay in the dorms and play Overwatch because she finds shopping a waste of time and boring. Girly things really just don't appeal to her. She never runs out of energy and doesn’t seem to have an off switch as she is always bouncing off the walls with energy. She doesn’t seem to know what the words “quiet” or “too loud” mean, and never stops talking. She usually speaks whatever’s on her mind, but doesn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings. She randomly starts laughing like a madwoman in the dorm and does things that don't make sense at all to most people. She'll say some pretty weird things, mostly in Chinese, and no one understands her jokes because of how lame they are; she will awkwardly laugh it off when she’s met with silence. Ri is very innocent and immature, and probably the least responsible of the group. She could misplace a pen and turn the entire dorm upside down looking for it, only to find it had been behind her ear the entire time. She is very mischievous and loves to prank her members, especially photobombing their photos, which usually gets her in trouble, but winning the others over with her hyperactive personality. She loves music, and will always have her blue headphones around her neck. Quite a big fan of kpop, Ri knows all there is to know about almost every Kpop group, underrated and overrated alike from 021 to BTS, and loves dancing to Kpop songs whenever she hears them. It could be just in the dorm or even at awards shows, she’ll stop everything to dance to a song. She's extremely outgoing and will keep the conversation rolling if it starts to slow. She seems to fit into any atmosphere like a puzzle piece. Ri seems to always be aware of if someone is not feeling comfortable or happy, and will do her best to make you feel better. She loves her friends and members to death, and would go to the ends of the world for them, although sometimes she can be a bit too overboard with protectiveness when guys and girls approach her unnies and geges. How Did You Meet:
She was wandering around looking for the SM building, not knowing a single word in Korean, and not even knowing what the SM building looked like. Her phone had just run out of battery so she couldn't call her brother or use Google maps, so she sat down in front of a nearby cafe in frustration, spewing Chinese and earning quite a few odd looks from passerby. L/I walks by her on the way back to SM with his members, they were trainees at the time, and sees her visible frustration. He hears her speaking in Chinese and guesses that she probably didn't speak Korean. He stopped and offers to help her get to where she is going which she gladly accepts. After finding out they were going to the same place, he pulls her over to his group members and introduces her to them, telling them that she was a new trainee at SM. being able to talk with Chenle, Renjun, and Mark, Ri and the others really clicked and laughed and talked on the way to SM despite the language barriers.

How Does He Act Around You:
He treats her like a brother; he’s always messing with her and jumping out of places to scare her. He will go to her with problems and secrets, and loves playing pranks with her. When these two are together, there’s words coming out of their mouths nonstop and pranks being pulled all over the place. He’s so close with her that hugging her, holding hands, and things like that are normal to him even though everyone else thinks otherwise, and will always separate the two when they get “to close”. He’s always looking out for Ri, making sure she doesn’t get into as much trouble, and is one of the only people that can actually keep up with her limitless energy.

How Do You Act Around Him:
She kind of thinks him and the rest of NCT Dream like older brothers, but she’s the closest to L/i. she will go to him first when she has something to talk about, and loves to play with his hair and steal his clothes when she finds something she likes. She gets annoyed at the others when they separate her and L/i because there’s nothing going on between the two.

Suggested scenes:
Ri goes to visit NCT on one of her free days. She ran into L/I, and both fell to the ground in an awkward position. Johnny had the fortune of being able to witness this, and starts laughing, attracting the other members. Mark starts yelling in English, being the overprotective brother figure he is, which only Ri and Johnny can understand, and the others are just laughing at the two awkward people blushing furiously on the ground.
L/i and Ri decide to go on a friend date where they bought boba tea, and went to the park to just talk. Fans recognize the two, and start to bombard them with questions on if they’re dating and things like that. They run away, but it’s all over the Kpop websites the next day, prompting the members of SEVENTEEN, NCT, and 11:11 to get together and question the two kids.

Scandals:

Ri sleepwalks and switched the food in the pantry and fridge. When everyone wakes up, they’re all confused as to how it happened

Ri hears BTS- I Need You playing, and runs into the street to dance to it, starting a flash mob. The other members also join in, and they are there for a bit, dancing to the Kpop songs that play and taking pictures and signing autographs for fans.

The members of 11:11 meet her when she’s in the dorm twisted into a pretzel and watching the SEVENTEEN Vlive.
11:11 finds out about Ri’s idol brother when SEVENTEEN comes and visits Ri to congratulate on the news of her debut and everyone freaks out after, asking Ri how she didn’t tell them her brother was Xu MInghao.

She goes to her unnies for advice on how to confess to L/i, and they all freak out, finally seeing that Ri is at least part girl, and not all boy. They kind of do what the I.O.I members do in the Whatta Man MV, and teach her how to talk to him, dress her up, etc.

I’ve always really looked up to my brother, Minghao, and seeing him become so successful with the other SEVENTEEN geges really inspired me
