- Colors of Nature Legacy Challenge
- I’ve always loved the concept of color-themed legacies but have yet to find one that I really like, so I decided to make my own! The concept is simple: each generation is based on a color named after something nature-y and its color-corresponding traits. At the moment it’s only eight generations because I wanted to leave room for additional content that’s added to the game in the future. I hope you all have fun, and I look forward to seeing your gameplay!
- Basic Rules:
- each generation should represent the color they’re based on
- (this is optional but fun! this challenge can be played with vanilla, banilla, or berry sims)
- no money cheats, etc.
- normal lifespan is recommended
- have fun—if you don’t abide by this, you fail the challenge
- Gen 1 – Boysenberry
- You’ve always been told to live your life to the fullest, and you have no intention of living it any other way. You follow your heart in every aspect of your life and never view any dream to be out of your reach. You strive to live a balanced lifestyle and never deprive yourself of the simple pleasures.
- Traits: Self-Assured, Childish, Romantic
- Aspiration: Grilled Cheese
- Career: Astronaut (any branch)
- Goals:
- eat grilled cheese for every meal (birthday cakes, etc., excluded)
- master the wellness skill
- accept at least one social invitation every week
- have one self-care day every week
- complete at least one whim every day

- Gen 2 – Charcoal
- Your parent(s) taught you to always follow your dreams, no matter how intimidating they may seem. Once you’re old enough, you move to San Myshuno to follow your dream of becoming a world-renowned musician but realize that being a starving artist in the big city is not as glamorous as it had seemed.

- Your parents had a very laid back lifestyle, but you always dreamed of more. You believe that the best way to live life is to work hard at what you love and happiness will follow. You never cared for the superficial fulfillment of family life and instead put every bit of your heart into your business—that is until a rather unexpected surprise. Although your child was unplanned, you love them will all your heart and ensure that they have a happy upbringing.

- Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy, but change to Super Parent once your child is born
- Career: None, own a restaurant/retail business

- Feeling uninspired with your sims and looking for some strategic gameplay? Well I came up with this idea in the shower a few nights ago because being a daycare teacher has poisoned my mind with various songs to remember the days of the week! And now I present to you my first ever attempt at creating a sims challenge! (Go easy on me)
- Welcome to the Days of the Week Challenge! A seven generation challenge where every sim is inspired by a different day of the week.
- Standard Rules:
- Absolutely no money cheats, build your sims from the ground up!
- Keep the lifespan on Normal.
- You must complete each heir’s aspiration, careers aren’t necessary unless stated otherwise.
- If you miss something, just keep going! Have fun with it!
- Feel free to tweak this as you see fit (i.e. If there’s a trait or career you don’t have in your game, substitute for what best fits)

- Generation One: Sunday
- Sunday’s are all about relaxing and quality time with loved ones and that’s exactly what you’re all about! All you want out of life is to be surrounded by family and good food! It’s your job to grow your family and cooking skills to the max.
- Traits: Foodie, Lazy, & Family Orientated
- Aspiration: Big Happy Family
- Career: No Career
- Rules:
- You can’t have a job or open any business. You can make money by skills at home (ideally gardening) or relying off of other household members.
- Throw a dinner party at home every Sunday.
- Have four or more kids (with the same sim).
- Master the Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and Baking Skills.
- Generation Two: Monday
- Your family has always seemed to just take it easy but you’re different from the rest. You want to be successful and more importantly, filthy rich! If there was a workaholic trait you would have it, above everything your career and income come first.

- Don’t have a significant other/spouse or have children until you’re an Adult.

- You’ve grown up in what most would consider very fortunate circumstances but you really can’t stand the lifestyle your parents lead. You’re all about wellness and sustainable living, nothing excites you more than living off the land and becoming one with nature.

- Aspiration: Freelance Botanist
- Career: Athlete or No Career
- Rules:
- Only use fresh ingredients from your garden in cooking.
- Must have ONLY 3 children, your second child MUST be the heir.
- Complete the Crystals and Elements collections.
- Generation Four: Wednesday
- Everybody loves Hump Day! Growing up as the middle child you didn’t get the attention you would have liked and because of that you seek attention from wherever you can get it. If woohoo was a skill you would have maxed it by now, some would call you a flake by the way you go from career to career as fast as you switch partners.
- Traits: Romantic, Non-Committal, Creative
- Aspiration: Serial Romantic
- Career: Play a few days/weeks through them all.
- Rules:
- Can’t go past level 4 in any career.
- Have children with multiple different sims but never marry.
- Must woohoo every Wednesday.
- Must woohoo to death as an elder.
- Generation Five: Thursday
- You’ve lived an interesting life to say the least, growing up with a single parent and a revolving door of lovers took a toll on you. You’ve always found solace in your writing though…and a bottle of juice. Your favorite day of the week has always been Thursday, mainly because of the Thirsty Thursday specials at your favorite bar.
- Traits: Bookworm, Gloomy, Loner
- Aspiration: Best-Selling Author
- Career: Writer (Author Branch)
- Rules:
- Live at home until the former heir’s death.
- Spend most of your free time at a bar.
- Master the Mixology and Writing Skills.
- Have high relationships with only mixologists.
- Generation Six: Friday
- You got into your parent’s juice cabinet a little too early in life and it’s been a party ever since. Around town everyone turns to you for the best parties and you take pride in your reputation. You live everyday like it’s the start of the weekend and really don’t see the repercussions in any of your decisions.
- Traits: Outgoing, Jealous (or Dance Machine), Self-Assured
- Aspiration: Party Animal
- Career: Social Media (Internet Personality)
- Rules:
- Must eat cereal every Friday morning.
- Master the Dancing, DJ, and Video Gaming Skills.
- Must have twins. (If you don’t have them after the 5th try, then cheat)
- Generation Seven: Saturday
- Fun and games is all you and your twin have ever cared about. The two pranksters! But you’ve always had a more mischievous and darker side of pranking than your twin but you try to keep that part of you hidden as best as you can.
- Traits: Goofball, Evil, Genius
- Aspiration: Chief of Mischief
- Career: No Career
- Rules:
- Must make all your money by hacking.
- Live with your twin your entire life.
- Master the Programming, Mischief, and Comedy Skills.

- - DIFFERENCES IN THE FAMILY TREE SIMS 4 ADAPTATION [DFFT]

- Third party content is allowed
- Choose the heir by any means you want
- The next generation starts when the heir you choose hits YA (even if the previous generation has not achieved their goals!)
- Spouses may be employed
- Points:
- One point for each generation reached
- One point for every objective completed
- Two points for every optional objective completed
- One half point for changing the house to fit the style of each gen
- Lose two points for every main goal you do not meet (for people who don’t want to insta-fail the legacy)
- Generation One – The Farmer
- "I always wanted to be a farmer. There is a tradition of that in my family."
- Your family was always into the farming deal. They spent their days working hard and asked their children to do the same. When you turned 18, your parents surprised you with your own plot of land to continue on tradition. Having always been one to want to impress the folks, you began creating your own garden; you'd rather dedicate your life to that than a dreadful 9 to 5 suit and tie anyway.
- Objectives:
- Grow a garden with every type of plant from the store in it (you may buy 5 of them, the rest you have to find on your own)
- Get married, but no woohoo before marriage
- Have a boy and a girl. Keep trying til you do!
- Master the garden skill
- Complete 1 collection
- Have and complete one of the nature aspirations
- No gardeners! You may join the gardening club, however you may not call a group meeting at your house more than once a week.
- Optional objectives:

- Generation Two – The Savvy City Slicker
- "I was expected to be a farmer like my father and siblings. I broke tradition. It was great."
- Life with your hands in the dirt wasn't the life for you. You always craved to spend more time in the city, yearning for the excitement and noise. You knew there were more to life than seeing seeds sprout into plants or fishing in the local pond. Besides, your siblings were more than happy to help our on the farm - your family didn't need you too. You decide to follow your heart, and move to the city.
- Objectives:
- Get to level 10 in the Business Career
- Move out of your parents home. Live on your own until one of your parents die, then move back in to take care of the surviving parent.
- Get to level 10 in Charisma skill
- Get married.
- Have at least one kid.
- Have and complete a Fortune Aspiration
- Optional Objectives:
- Become enemies with your father and/or mother (why can't you be like your brother or/and sister?) before entering your career.
- Marry someone your parents hate.
- City Living Optional Expansion Path:
- Move to San Myshuno on your own and live in an apartment that needs TLC until you save enough for a nicer place (20,000 household funds) – move back into your old home when one of your parents die in order to take care of the survivor.
- Do not take your family's money with you when you move out – your parents do not support your decisions and will not help you with anything.
- You love the city – attend every festival that you can (exceptions for if you are at work or on a date/attending a wedding, ect).
- Get to level 10 in the Business Career OR doctor career.
- Get to level 10 in Charisma skill.

- Generation 3 – The Wild Child
- “My parents were always working, I was left alone. I learned how to live, how to survive, on my own."
- Your parents have always seemed to spend more time in the office than home. So you decided to go to different places and see the world outside your own town. Better than remaining at home, that was for sure.
- Objectives:
- Join Mixologist Branch of the Culinary Career, get to level 8 (Chief Drink Operator)
- Have the noncommittal trait
- Kiss 6 sims
- Be boyfriend/girlfriend to 2 sims then break their hearts (you can be married to one and dating the other).
- Get married and have kid(s).
- Kill/divorce spouse, then repeat above step (as many times as you'd like but at least once).
- Throw a party (any type) at least once a week.
- Host a gold rated house party.
- Have the serial romantic aspiration and complete it.
- Optional Objectives:
- Go on at least 10 dates
- Get a gold rating on at least one date.
- Complete any break-up/divorce whims your sim has
- Get Together Optional Expansion Path:

- Have the DJ skill maxed out
- DJ at a nightclub once a week
- Max out the dance skill and win 3 dance battles

- Generation Four Option 1 – The Artist
- “The more I find, the more I type, and the more I learn of my parent's lives."
- Your parents have led an interesting and dark life. With rich and vivid stories that were always told to you, both to entertain and warn, a creative spark was ignited in you. They filled you with the need to write and paint the images they spoke about.
- Objectives:
- Marry, woohoo, have kid(s)
- Have a creative aspiration and complete it
- Master Writing skill
- Write at least 10 books
- Join Writer Career, Author Branch and get to level 10
- AND/OR
- Master Painting skill
- Paint at least 5 Masterpieces
- Join Artist career (either branch) and get to level 10

- It must be that creative gene, because you were born with a guitar in your hand. You've played it ever since you were able to pick it up, not caring if you didn't strum correctly or even well. But that you knew would get better in time. As it always does.
- Objectives:
- Master Two Instruments (Guitar, Piano or Violin)
- Get to the top of the Entertainer Career; Musician Branch.
- Have at least three kids
- Get married to someone with the music lover or creative trait
- Learn all songs
- Optional Objectives:

- "Playing cops and robbers as a kid, I always wanted to kick bad-guy butt."
- You always wanted to take out the bad in this world. And no matter what you'd try your hardest to prevail over the evil in your town. That was your motto anyway and thus is why you trained yourself so as to be great at what you do.
- Objectives:
- Join Secret Agent career, Diamond Agent route and complete it

- Join Criminal Career (either branch) and reach max level in chosen branch.
- Have one of the Deviance Aspirations
- Master Athletic skill
- Master Charisma skill
- Marry as an adult after at least two failed relationships and turn your spouse into a criminal mastermind
- Have one child (you want the perfect evil child)
- Be good friends with your child until they come a teen
- Have 3 enemies
- Perform at least 1 mean interaction a day and pull pranks/cause mischief at least once a week.
- Optional Objectives:
- Have 1 of your enemies be the previous generation's heir (their mother or father)
- Generation Seven – The Bleeding Heart
- “I won't end up like you!”
- You grew up in the seedy underbelly, exposed to harsh realities far earlier than any child should have been. At first you thought your parents were cool – they took what they wanted, when they wanted it and allowed you to do the same. However, as you grew older you realized the harm they were causing and became determined to expose the very environment that helped shaped you.
- Objectives:
- Join the writer track and become a journalist
- Make at least one enemy as a teen. Become best friends with your enemy as an adult. If you have multiple enemies become best friends with one and friends with the rest.
- Reach max Charisma
- Reach max Writing
- Commit one ‘crime’ or prank a week as a teen
- Donate to charity every Saturday as a YA
- Get married as adult
- Have three babies
- Optional Objectives:
- Get into fight with parent(s).
- City Living Optional Expansion Path:
- Become a politician and reach level 10 (you can choose either branch – become a national leader to help make policies to stop your parent's old life style OR a charity organizer to help raise funds for the people they hurt)
- Generation Eight – The Spoiled Brat
- “Who says I can't? I want one! Now!”
- You grew up with a silver spoon in your mouth. Anything you asked for your parents gave you and if they ever dared to say no, you screamed until you got your way. You never had to earn anything and now, as heir to a fortune, you don't see any point in working. You spend your family's fortune on lavish dinners, spa days and whatever else might catch your eye.
- Objectives:
- Marry and woohoo a sim of your choice
- Have two kids
- Do not get a job (spouse can but the ‘heir’ cannot)
- Do not help kids with homework or read them books. Do not teach the toddlers any skills or change their diaper/bathe them. Note: You are the fun parent! You can play video games with the children, you may take them to the park, you can help with with any fun skills you have maxed! If you have the parenting pack you MAY NOT discipline your children or ground them, but your spouse may!
- Spend your family fortune – strive to get it just above what your bills are.
- Heir must have 3 hobbies from this list (if it is a skill, max it! If it's a collection, complete it! If it's both, choose either collection or max skill): photography, woodworking, herbalist, frog collecting, fishing, gardening, painting, writing, causing mischief, video gaming, baking, collecting insects, yoga/meditating, collecting fossils, collecting post cards, bowling, or collecting snow globes.

- This is probably the 100th Legacy Challenge but there are never enough of them, if we’re perfectly honest right now. This challenge is pushing you to make choices you normally wouldn’t do - and it hopefully motivates you to play the game as well! And maybe you’ll even find one or two songs you didn’t know yet and like them.
- Basic Rules:
- Money cheats can be used, though you shouldn’t overdo it. We suggest you to cheat (FreeRealEstate on) to get your house in the first place, but don’t use any money cheats after that. But that’s up to you.
- We would appreciate if you wouldn’t use other cheats beside the money cheats. Of course, if something really bad happens - for example your heir dying, who would want that, right? - we actually want you to cheat. But as for the money, you shouldn’t overdo it.

- Q: How does the dice roller work?
- A: Hi it’s just something you can do if you want more realistic genetics. The Sims 4 genetics are really wonky and you can easily have a baby born with blue hair and yellow skin when your parent Sims are pink and peach…So if you use the dice roller. Say 1-3 on the dice would be your pink Sim’s genetics and 4-6 would be your peach Sim’s genetics. You would roll tree times to determine the child’s hair, eye and skin tone.

Flareon can be selfless but they have a strong moral compass and will heed to that before all else. Be careful, you wouldn’t want to feel their wrath.

Umbreon is a force to be reckoned with and being on their bad side is not recommended. That being said they do have a heart that glows as bright as the rings on it’s body. Just try not to trip over one at night.

- This is my first challenge so go easy on me 😂! Rules below the cut~
- Rules:
- Cheats are allowed, but for an extra challenge I suggest starting with $20,000 simoleons or less.
- Only 1 trait is required each gen and I recommend rolling for the other two (using either this generator, which takes parent traits into account but can be rather repetitive long term or this generator which is totally random). Since not all traits are required, you won’t have to choose your heir until they’re aging up into a young adult, so for a fun twist, I recommend doing a poll between all the eligible heirs when they’re teens.
- The spouse color is not specified but it is recommended for them to be the same color as the heir in the next generation so that color is represented genetically in that heir.
- Unless there is an different reason, such as the birth of a sour sim, an adoption, or color changing.
- On that note, adopted sims can be the heirs

- On a similar note, the so called “spouse” does not have to be married to the heir unless otherwise specified, nor do they have to be the only or main love interest of the heir.

You want to try everything, but still have a steady yet awesome career, unlike your mom/dad.

You need to make money somehow, so you do it the best way you can, by stealing. You do have some living friends, and they are fish! Always remember, fish are friends, not food.

You helped the butler clean as a kid and learned how to take care of yourself for the most part. You make sure to stay fit, and made a career out of it. You want to give your family a life that you never had.
