  1. [02:28] The nobleman exited the bedroom, having been very recently having a nap. His eyes widen somewhat at the exact amount of people -quite a few of them indeed- before he recollects himself, expression smoothing into something impassive. "So, I hear there is some urgent business?"
  2.
  3. His eyes specifically focused on Ophelia. "And what might it be?" Whatever it was, this oughta be interesting.
  4. (Regulus ven Grimmore)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [02:28] Bella Senatus says, "They say they are cute"
  8. [02:28] Asta just steps aside.
  9. (Asta Hargrave)
  10. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11.
  12. [02:28] Kofe says, "Hm."
  13. [02:28] Kofe says, "I agree. Some people in those are."
  14. [02:30] Kofe moved up closer to Regulus, expecting Ophelia wouldn't unload everything right there and then. They'd go speak in a spot away from the rest, right?
  15.
  16. .. Right?
  17. (Kofe)
  18. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19.
  20. [02:31] Moserah was still sporting burns, lots of burns that had been dealt with partially; this allows her to stand there and stare awkwardly at Regulus and then the rest of the room's individuals, allowing Ophelia to speak her words.
  21. (Moserah Hayussuin)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [02:31] She nodded, rising up from her little position floating above a pillow.
  25.
  26. "Right. Alexander informed me to update you on the following!" She said with a small smile. "Osrona and Myllenoris will be meeting with Penelope from Ilburg to discuss peace. But even more pressing than that is the disturbing.... Creatures, the Rhoynish discovered were trapped beneath their home." She said.
  27.
  28. Ophelia then gestured towards Kofe and Moserah both,
  29.
  30. "Since you were both there, you can explain much better than I can."
  31. (Ophelia Soleis)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [02:31] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Aaaaaaooooooh, yeah."
  35. [02:32] Kofe says, "I-"
  36. [02:32] Kofe says, "Hm."
  37. [02:32] Ilsa lei says, "Oh. Woah."
  38. [02:32] Kofe asks, "Should we say it here?"
  39. [02:32] Bella Senatus asks, "Uh...What?"
  40. [02:32] Kofe says, "It'll throw the world in panic if we tell people here."
  41. [02:32] Moserah Hayussuin asks, "What's wrong with Ilburg sitting on an egg-timer that will become the entire world's problem?"
  42. [02:32] Bella Senatus says, "Ilburg"
  43. [02:32] Amalia is starting to feel a little claustrophobic inside of the bubble!
  44. (Amalia Hargrave)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [02:32] So the plans to meet with Penelope are coming to fruition, after all. Odd, when she'd received word that their forces were mobilizing already. Preparing for the counter-offensive.
  48.
  49. "Creatures," Asta says.
  50.
  51. She is a woman of near-omniscience, when it came to her own domain. The Crown of Aschea afforded her the foresight of that of a God.
  52.
  53. But, Ilburg? Nothing.
  54.
  55. "Explain."
  56.
  57. She doesn't remark on the meeting to come.
  58. (Asta Hargrave)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [02:33] Asta points her finger at Amalia and shoots a crystal shard to pop that fuckin baloon.
  62. (Asta Hargrave)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [02:33] Amalia requires assistance.
  66. (Amalia Hargrave)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [02:33] Bella Senatus says, "Twenty coin says it takes two to pop."
  70. [02:34] Asta Hargrave says, "... Missed."
  71. [02:34] Bella Senatus says, "Someone pay me."
  72. [02:34] Amalia Hargrave says, "..."
  73. [02:34] Asta had to shoot twice... oh no.
  74. (Asta Hargrave)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [02:34] Amalia Hargrave says, "Thank you. I was starting to think I was going to run out of air."
  78. [02:34] Bella Senatus says, "Pay"
  79. [02:35] Asta looks away indignant.
  80. (Asta Hargrave)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [02:35] Bella Senatus says, "Mom is still cheap I see."
  84. [02:36] Asta Hargrave says, "Amalia, dear. The leftmost coffer has all of the Kingdom's treasury. Try not to... embezzle."
  85. [02:36] Asta Hargrave exclaims, "Just a note. Not that I don't trust you!!"
  86. [02:36] Amalia Hargrave says, "I saw it."
  87. [02:36] Regulus frowned slightly at the mention of creatures. "While I admit its good that a peace might be on the verge of being forged between our peoples, I have to ask what made it more likely? I was under the impression Penelope desired my wife's head for peace, and that is of course not being considered."
  88.
  89. He tilted his head slightly to one side. "So, as my wife said, please explain."
  90.
  91. "What are these creatures?"
  92. (Regulus ven Grimmore)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [02:41] Asta removes her crown while the group explains, examing it, polishing away some dirt.
  96. (Asta Hargrave)
  97. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  98.
  99. [02:46] "Imagine something black with red eyes that could tear you asunder. I think the Lorekeeper's spirit called them wraiths? Was it wraiths, Kofe?", Moserah says to Regulus and Kofe respectively, nonchalant in her tone, "Now. Imagine an army, no, better than an army, a swarm of those things which you cannot even begin to count because there hasn't been a number invented to 'count' the amount of beasts there are, down there.", the majority of what was said was being directed at the nobleman himself. It was serious.
  100.
  101. "But it's bad news for everyone. It's not just Ilburg's problem and our ancestors did what they could to prevent it from spilling out."
  102.
  103. Moserah was being a bit of a sensationalist regarding the events that took place below Ilburg. But for good reason, you don't just come across what might be a gate to the stuff of nightmares and brush it off casually.
  104.
  105. "A group of us managed to prevent disaster caused by an Osronan machine that was left in the lower ruins of Ilburg from many years ago. If it was left to continue digging, Ilburg would have been overrun hours ago and we would not be standing here, telling you this", Moserah says, frowning as soon as she says 'Osronan machine', she still had no idea how it worked, just that it was digging where it shouldn't.
  106.
  107. "A barrier was formed by one of our ancestor's spirits which now keeps the enemy of anyone and everyone at bay, for how long we do not know. It could be days, weeks, months or if we're all lucky? Maybe years."
  108. (Moserah Hayussuin)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [02:49] Bella Senatus says, "More Wraiths...."
  112. [02:49] If they wished to hear it here, then so be it.
  113.
  114. "We went down in the ruins under Ilburg. There we discovered a large room that had depictions of Njorun. Statues, paintings, and hieroglyphs that no one could read. A hand imprint with a blood sacrifice waited for us. When the blood ran out in four different directions it lit up pillars of crystal around the room. A riddle came from the bleeding hieroglyphs and the crystals lit up. White, Green, Pink, Orange. We read that riddle over and over, but nothing seemed to make sense. Eventually we realized that they represented seasons, but the hints showed that they were all jumbled up.
  115.
  116. So we went and guess and guess, hurt our hands pretty badly but eventually figured out the order. We undid the seal and another pillar rose up. Stone slabs moved around and a large door opened up, beckoning with cold winds and rhythmic whispers.
  117.
  118. I ventured first and tried to communicate with the whispers, but nothing returned. It beggedfor us to turn back and asked why we had opened the door. There we found an aggressive Nethradin.
  119.
  120. Slipping between sands and winds we defeated the Nethradin, his time magic no match for our united might. We lifted his curse and reclaimed the gold arm ring. It freed the spirit of a Lorekeeper named Missell, an ancestor to our clan and the one who had sealed the door in time.
  121.
  122. We heard a rumbling and a shaking, only to discover that hundreds of years prior an Osronian noble called Caleb Pelleux came to investigate the ruins of the city below our city, one that was built when Njorun the primordial still walked this earth. The scholar brought men and machine seeking something that Njorun told us all not to open, enslaved our people and forced them to dig and dig.
  123.
  124. When they hit the place the primordial warned them against a slew of Nethradins and Wraiths alike escaped, they were held off and defeated but more and more kept pouring out. A rip in space to Helheim was whathad been sealed away by our ancestors and broken through by a machine that could dig deeper than any man could.
  125.
  126. So we moved ahead and fought the machine, trying to stop it from unleashing more of those monsters. We fought against metal and earth and magma and the very elements themselves. Earthquakes occured but Moserah was able to put an end to it all.
  127.
  128. When it all collapsed we found yet another city, one under the city under our city. A place populated by Nethradin and Wraiths, filled to the brim and ready to escape. Before we could move Missell reformed.
  129.
  130. Using the last of his energy he put a barrier around the place, sealing off the city for as long as he could. He told us to ready ourselves, to bring more people and more weapons, seeing as it would be a disaster if Helheim itself came down upon the land of Esshar.
  131.
  132. So we went to the King and told him all about that, he accepted to help us and called for an emergency peace treaty, one that would pull everyone out of the war in order to focus on what mattered most. He asked for us to bring the proof at the meeting and wanted Myllenoris to be present, too."
  133.
  134. Kofe.
  135. Breathed.
  136. In.
  137.
  138. "So that's why we're here."
  139. (Kofe)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [02:50] Kofe says, "Very simple."
  143. [02:50] Moserah Hayussuin asks, "Are your lungs okay, Kofe?"
  144. [02:51] Kofe says, "My head still hurts."
  145. [02:51] Ophelia Soleis says, "..... Wait."
  146. [02:51] Kofe says, "Apparently it's my arm, but it's really my head."
  147. [02:51] Ophelia Soleis says, "Alexander didn't use the words emergency peace treaty."
  148. [02:51] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Half of my body is still burnt from that infernal contraption."
  149. [02:51] Kofe says, "If we wanna pull out from the war, it'll have to be fast."
  150. [02:51] Kofe says, "That's an emergency."
  151. [02:52] Ophelia Soleis says, "He stated that Osrona was already going to meet with Ilburg, as was Myllenoris, offering peace. He did however say after Osrona is done defending against Theria, we should focus on Ilburg's issue."
  152. [02:52] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Imagine if that barrier breaks, I think that's a war everyone loses."
  153. [02:52] Ophelia Soleis says, "And he requested I pass the message onto you, Lord Grimmore."
  154. [02:52] Bella Senatus says, "Um...Where does that put Theria? "
  155. [02:52] Bella Senatus asks, "On the chopping block?"
  156. [02:52] Ophelia Soleis says, "...... Theria does not care if there's a witch in it's midst."
  157. [02:55] Amalia listens to the two's retelling of the events, and suddenly wishes that Asta didn't pop her safety bubble earlier.
  158. (Amalia Hargrave)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [02:55] Moserah Hayussuin says, "I exploded that damned machine, real good."
  162. [02:55] Moserah Hayussuin says, "The noise did my head in and Kofe's too by the sounds of it."
  163. [02:56] Kofe says, "I took a big rock to the head."
  164. [02:56] Kofe says, "It really hurt."
  165. [03:00] Asta idly caresses the Crown of Aschea and narrows her eyes as Kofe speaks.
  166.
  167. Helheim. So this was a place of spiritual power, like the Vale was. But connected to Helheim, as opposed to the subsection of the spirit realm the Vale was connected to.
  168.
  169. It made sense. There had to be more places like the Vale. There had to be 'evil' counterparts.
  170.
  171.
  172. She closes her eyes. Inhales.
  173.
  174. "Why close it? Why fight it?"
  175.
  176. Her eyes open.
  177.
  178. "Why tarnish this place of spiritual power at all? It is your Vale. Where the Teraphim represent unity with nature, creation, balance; they have the Vale."
  179.
  180. She raises a finger to the air. "Where the Rhoynur are a warring, martial culture; they have the connection to Helheim. It is simple. It is logical.
  181.
  182. But I'll not make this decision here, and now. I agreed to meet with Penelope. So I shall. I would call the great ritual of the new moon to divine thewill of the spirits of the Vale on this matter. To consult with them. Hear them. But this would take time. An immediate ceasefire."
  183. (Asta Hargrave)
  184. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  185.
  186. [03:01] Bella Senatus says, "Y'know. This doorway to Helheim makes our reasoning to war them in the first place concrete."
  187. [03:02] Kofe says, "I'm sure nothing wrong could happen if you were to kill the people holding back and guarding a gateway to Helheim, Bella."
  188. [03:02] Bella Senatus says, "Well, they didn't let us check in the first place. This could have been discovered awhile ago."
  189. [03:03] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Not exactly, Weiss did investigate the place briefly. But he just had a hunch from what I remember."
  190. [03:04] Kofe says, "Maybe someone in this room shouldn't have killed him."
  191. [03:04] Bella Senatus says, "Heard he took everyone down that went at him."
  192. [03:04] Bella Senatus says, "Cept one person here."
  193. [03:04] Bella Senatus says, "If he was still alive, maybe the whole WORLD would be different."
  194. [03:04] Asta Hargrave says, "The Spirit's Witness was invoked. A holy challenge for the Crown. The spirits willed this."
  195. [03:05] Asta Hargrave says, "They favored me."
  196. [03:05] Bella Senatus whispers: Excuses.
  197. [03:05] Kofe says, "I don't see how that's possible."
  198. [03:05] Kofe says, "I've heard from the priestess you exiled that you're meant to keep the balance around."
  199. [03:06] Kofe says, "Perhaps the legends are true, however."
  200. [03:06] Kofe says, "That Aschea's crown is nothing but decoration."
  201. [03:06] Asta Hargrave says, "Perhaps you would like to wear it."
  202. [03:06] Kofe says, "I don't fancy politics."
  203. [03:06] Bella Senatus says, "I would try, if you let me."
  204. [03:06] Asta Hargrave says, "That was a death threat, by the way. If you wear it, you'd die."
  205. [03:07] Moserah Hayussuin says, "What's the point of wearing something that'd kill you."
  206. [03:07] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Seems counter-productive if you ask me."
  207. [03:07] Kofe says, "Ah."
  208. [03:07] Asta finishes polishing her crown, and dons it once more.
  209. (Asta Hargrave)
  210. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  211.
  212. [03:07] Bella Senatus says, "Death by glamour."
  213. [03:07] Kofe asks, "Are you challenging me, then?"
  214. [03:07] Asta Hargrave says, "No. It was a mere fact, that wearing this would kill you."
  215. [03:07] Kofe says, "Good."
  216. [03:07] Kofe says, "You still have a head on your shoulders, it seems."
  217. [03:07] Kofe says, "For now."
  218. [03:07] Asta Hargrave says, "I am not a Rhoynur. I do not rage at empty threats."
  219. [03:08] The nobleman listened to their recounts, growing more and more concerned as they spoke. There were a few moments of pause as he considered their tale.
  220.
  221. Five years ago, Regulus would have considered such a story a ridiculous stalling tactic to give the bandits more time to prepare an attack. But he happened to have spent a great deal of time in a place relatively spiritually charged, and thus understood it was certainly possible that another such place could exist. The idea of a rift into Helheim was frightening, undoubtedly.
  222.
  223. He didn't bother responding to them immediately, turning his head towards Asta's words. "...The vale's inhabitants don't try and kill us, Asta. That's probably a pretty good reason." A hand shifted to stroke his beard in thought. "I appreciate you reporting this to me. I, of course, have been in support of peace talks from the beginning. However...this is something else entirely. A motivation for peace and alliance, and perhaps a way in which Myllenoris and Ilburg might find common ground."
  224.
  225. Kofe's words were met with a snort. "Trust me, its real. I touched the thing, once. My head was ringing for days afterwards. Faelyn means well, but she's misguided. Asta speaks for the spirits of the Vale."
  226.
  227.
  228. (Regulus ven Grimmore)
  229. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  230.
  231. [03:08] Kofe says, "Instead you lie and wage war on the wrong side of the world."
  232. [03:08] Moserah Hayussuin says, "You two are arguing like a married couple just saying..."
  233. [03:11] Kofe nodded at Regulus. Thankfully enough he wasn't as prone to provocation and arguments as his wife. She really did bond with him for a reason.
  234.
  235. "Then you'll meet with Ilburg and Osrona?" He asked. He already knew the answer, he just wanted to confirm it all.
  236.
  237. "I don't think it's the peace Ophelia foresaw and made me dream, but I think this one will be hard to disagree with. Even for Serea."
  238.
  239. While he could be a dick, Kofe was certainly open with how he felt.
  240. (Kofe)
  241. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  242.
  243. [03:13] Ophelia's brows furrowed, as Asta questioned why they should even close it. Her arms flew upwards in frustration,
  244.
  245. "That's the same as if a WITCH opened a portal to Helheim itself, Lady Asta! Why wouldn't we fight against it and close it?" She questioned incredulously. "We fight against it because it is the right thing to do, we fight against it because it wouldn't have happened had an older Pelleaux actually dug up whatever lies underneath Ilburg. Furthermore..."
  246.
  247. Now she turned her sights towards Bella.
  248.
  249. "No. It doesn't make your warmongering reasons to fight against them concrete. Because they didn't know it was down there in the first place. I'll be damned if I let you people tarnish the precise reason why I came here to begin with." She said coldly. She was sick of people twisting truth and reason to favor their own ideals - that of war, anddeath.
  250.
  251. Now, she turned back to Asta and Regulus,
  252.
  253. "I still need to speak with Penelope regarding this and convince her to pull out of assisting Theria with their operation in the coming weeks. As well as that, she needs to be convinced by Kofe here to bring the singular physical proof of evidence that those creatures are down there to the peace talks. Alexander has stated he will arrange the peace talks after we have finished defending ourselves from Theria."
  254. (Ophelia Soleis)
  255. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  256.
  257. [03:15] "Illburg, Osrona, and Theria too."
  258.
  259. Ilsa finally speaks up, entirely too comfortable on the cushion afforded to her.
  260.
  261. "King Alexander and I have been working on reaching out to them to... fix things. But for different reasons. If the threat really as bad as Kofe and Moserah described it, it might be a cause for all of the nations to work together."
  262.
  263. She taps her chin, frowning at the fact that she had not heard back from the couriers yet.
  264.
  265. Then again, they were locked away in a house for most of the night. Maybe she was to blame?
  266. (Ilsa lei)
  267. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  268.
  269. [03:18] Mose eyed both Kofe and Asta with a smirk; the two bickering was amusing, very amusing. If this wasn't such a serious matter? She'd try to set the two up more often to be within the same area as one another so she could get more kicks out of seeing them go at eachother.
  270.
  271. Verbal gladiators they were.
  272.
  273. However amidst their bickering, a resolution that could be agreed upon was heard by Moserah!
  274.
  275. "Let me put this crystal clear, yeah? You go and raze Ilburg, right? Swinging your sword around, thinking it's a real bright idea. Congratulations, you just got rid of the folk that originally kept that crap at bay."
  276.
  277. Moserah backed Ophelia up on this; not out of want for peace, but to not see those Wraiths getting out and causing, what she believed would be a really bad time for the whole, entire country.
  278.
  279. "We saw what the things can do and just one of them was enough to give us trouble, I cannot imagine what an entire group of them, let alone an army of those things could do to an entire country. Look at me!"
  280.
  281. Moserah gestures to her own self, she was still a bit lightly done from the rough tumble and tussle with the possessed demonic Osronan drilling machine, "Before the King healed me with his time-tick-tock magic, I was half done for being a Rhoynish roast!"
  282.
  283. "We ain't making this up, this ain't bullshit. That barrier comes down, sure Ilburg goes down first, sunshine and poppylus for you guys for about a few hours; the rest of the country will follow, it's not exactly as if the settlements are that far apart."
  284. (Moserah Hayussuin)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [03:19] Moserah Hayussuin says, "And not even the deepest, darkest little hideyhole will save you from the situation those beasts will sow upon you."
  288. [03:20] Asta waves her hand dismissively.
  289.
  290. "I know the ritual needed to close this gateway," she says nonchalantly. "And part of me does believe this gateway does need to be closed. But understand what this represents, for Myllenoris. Contrary to what the Rhoynur believes, I did not start a war on a lie."
  291.
  292. She folds her arms, letting the Crown speak for her.
  293.
  294. The words came out of her with no pause, no hesitation. Like she was reading from a script.
  295.
  296. "I am the bridge between worlds. I am the woman of all worlds. The spirits whisper, the spirits move, and I listen. Few believed me when I said that witchcraft and fell agents stirred in Ilburg. In fact, even I myself, didn't truly believe it -- even though this is what I was able to divine."
  297.
  298. "Part of me should be happy. I wasn't wrong. I didn't lead my people into some senseless war. But all I can feel is regret and frustration that Penelope did not allow us to peacefully enter Ilburg's grounds and scour the land myself." Her eyes dart to the Rhoynur beside her, then Ophelia.
  299.
  300. "I could have told you that this place existed under your feet, the moment I stepped on the land. Yet, here we are. Discovering it, now, when it threatens Esshar. Or at least, the parts of Esshar not under my protection."
  301.
  302. She paces over to Regulus and gives him a knowing look.
  303.
  304. Unsaid words, between them, through their bond.
  305.
  306. "I will agree to trek to Ilburg and visit the site of spiritual power myself. I will agree to close this portal, if Penelope signs a treaty of nonaggression. I don't think any of you are lying, for this perfectly aligns with my suspicions of Ilburg."
  307.
  308. "Tell Penelope that Myllenoris will agree to meet with her and King Alexander."
  309. (Asta Hargrave)
  310. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  311.
  312. [03:21] Bella's brows fell. She was upset that Ophelia would turn to her like that and nit-pick her words. No one said anything about Warmongering!
  313.
  314. "That's contradicting yourself Ophelia! If it's the same thing as a Witch opening a gate to Helhiem, then its all the more reason that the Teraphim upheld Aschea's will and fought on. IF we won we could have discovered it, no? Now the problem is prolonged."
  315.
  316. "If they want help, and clear the way for us to fix it then we should. If they resist? Then they endanger all of Esshar. Right now it sounds like they need help, so lets quick the nitpicking, eh?"
  317. (Bella Senatus)
  318. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  319.
  320. [03:28] "I'd be there at the meeting in any case, as an Osronan representative, so yes." A simple answer for Kofe. Ophelia's words were met with a nod. "If it weren't for the obvious risk I'd make to speak to Penelope myself. I have...at least some concept of an idea that might end this war conclusively, although I'd need to discuss it with the King, too." A carrot to great for Ilburg to pass up, perhaps.
  321.
  322. He just nods at Ilsa, attention shifting to Moserah. "I don't want the Rhoynish dead. I'd be quite happy with your people to live your own lives separate from us if you'd just stop your damn raiding, but obviously up until now there was no real motive for you to desire peace. But, for the record, I do believe that you're telling the truth." Serea could call him soft all she wanted, Regulus was simply smart enough to realise other options were available, and desired peace enough to seek them.
  323.
  324. Hiseyes met Asta's, a small nod following. "Any open rift needs to be closed, yes. That this happens to lend some credence to what the spirits were trying to communicate to Asta gladdens my heart, for its further evidence that those of Myllenoris did not seek any war with Ilburg save for that which was corrupt within your camp."
  325.
  326. "If my wife is travelling to Ilburg, I will be alongside her, of course, in order to see how best we might keep any peace we forge a long-term arrangement. For now, we expect a ceasefire of Ilburgian aggression, until at least the meeting." That seemed a fair demand.
  327.
  328. Eyes shifting at last to Bella, he frowned at the woman. "Mistakes were made on all sides, now we've a chance to correct them. No need to turn this into even more of a mess."
  329. (Regulus ven Grimmore)
  330. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  331.
  332. [03:33] "Fell agents? Sure. But they don't sit in Ilburg - they sitr BENEATH Ilburg, Lady Asta. Furthermore, where was your spiritual wisdom when there was an actual witch in Osrona? Where was it when she killed someone and fled to Theria?" She questioned. "Stop acting smug just because you think you weren't wrong; this war is multiple people's fault."
  333.
  334. She held a frown, glancing towards Bella.
  335.
  336. "No. Actually it isn't. Because you'd slaughter a bunch of people that had been instilled there to make sure the portal didn't open up itself. You guys didn't even know about it until just now, and now you're all gloating that you knew all along." She scoffed.
  337.
  338. Now, her hand was held up and she shook her head.
  339.
  340. "For now, just wait word from Alexander before you try to go traveling to Ilburg. I still need to speak with Penelope myself. You all can hash out your differences and what you expect from the other side once you're all seated at a table together."
  341. (Ophelia Soleis)
  342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  343.
  344. [03:35] The tension in the room was clear, and Kofe reveled in it. Verbal warfare was his favorite by a long shot, this was only an occasion to further sharpen it.
  345.
  346. "The meeting is going to be soon enough. I doubt any problem could arise within that time frame."
  347.
  348. Good one, Kofe. His eyes shifted towards Bella next, and a smile followed suit.
  349.
  350. "Your heart's in the right place, Bella. And I'll gladly vouch for you if you wanna head down there with us. So long as you don't go off and pick fights with Basten or something, we should be fine. I think you'd be a great help."
  351.
  352. Honest compliments. How could she turn that down? His sights soon set towards Asta, wishing to address her rather peculiar thoughts and the self-esteem she wore, but decided against it soon after.
  353.
  354. "I'm sure you'll behave during that meeting, then."
  355.
  356. Still, he had to take a jab at her. And finally? Ophelia. She who was fighting her hardest and realizing why Kofe didn't quite like politics. Albeit this time was great!
  357.
  358. "We can catch Penelope when she wakes up, yeah?"
  359.
  360. He didn't have any remarks to give towards poor Ophelia. She spoke her heart out.
  361. (Kofe)
  362. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  363.
  364. [03:40] Asta sharply looks away from the group, letting her eyes settle on the fountain in the hallway. You could almost hear the very anime 'hmph!' coming from her.
  365.
  366. To be scolded by a child in her own home...
  367.
  368. She could destroy this girl. Verbally. Physically.
  369.
  370. But that wasn't Asta. That was the dark spirits that whispered in her mind, overpowering the more neutral and light spirits.
  371.
  372. Millions...
  373.
  374. Whispering...
  375.
  376. Prodding...
  377.
  378. Fuck off. I am doing what I want.
  379.
  380. For a moment, Regulus might feel that Asta was struggling with something. Strange, complicated emotions emanate from her. She's fighting against the crown, fighting against the dozens of millions of voices and feelings that invaded her mind. All telling her different things.
  381.
  382. But she didn't care.
  383.
  384. Asta didn't need their input on this.
  385.
  386. "We'll wait for the King," she says.
  387.
  388. "I only have one enemy. It's not a bunch of savages in the desert."
  389.
  390. She doesn't elaborate on that one enemy.
  391. (Asta Hargrave)
  392. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  393.
  394. [03:41] For once, Bella turns from Ophelia as she retorts what she said. Her eyes closed, arms crossed and she took a leisurely position while floating in the air. It truly didn't get to her. One thing did catch her ear.
  395.
  396. "Thanks Kofe. At least you understand right now what I mean. None of that bickering about the past is worth it, but I said what I said."
  397.
  398. Her foot kicked off the floor and she levitated across the room. Amethyst eyes open and taking a quick look back at everyone in the room.
  399.
  400. "Be sure to mention Ilburg's possibility of pulling out of this war in the mean time, but if that happens? Theria is likely to stifle their forces as well. Win-Win, no?"
  401.
  402. Not at all. Bella sought to give the mountain a handicap, and she need not lift a finger. A tap from her foot was heard again, and she went to the door.
  403.
  404. "You all take care now, I need to head back to August." she mentioned.
  405. (Bella Senatus)
  406. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  407.
  408. [03:42] Kofe says, "Ah. Shame. We'll catch a drink later, then."
  409. [03:43] Kofe probably hadn't thought of getting a drink until now. It was merely a convenient time to offer such in the future. Hopefully with less world-ending threats inbound.
  410. (Kofe)
  411. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  412.
  413. [03:43] Kofe says, "Good luck, Bella. Stay safe."
  414. [03:44] Amy listens to the conversation as it slowly progressed, a range of reactions to it all listing from disappointment, to fear, to uncertainty, to relief and eventually returning back to the warm cheerfulness that was so often the 'norm' for her.
  415.
  416. Why was she happy in a situation as serious, and heavy as this? One could wonder, but in truth, she was always a simple soul.
  417.
  418. The peace she had wanted for Myllenoris and all others could potentially come to be if everything went well? People just needed to get along, and stop bickering over things that don't truly matter.
  419.
  420. That said, she couldn't help but feel a little bit of relief over the fact that Asta had been shown to be right. Even if the truth wasn't exactly what she said it was, she at least realized where it was she needed to focus her attentions.
  421.
  422. If only she was able to be more precise, to glean more information from that which her Crown allows her to see and hear, everything that had led up to this moment could have been completely avoided.
  423.
  424. "This is a good thing- I mean, not the rift with a uncountable number of evil spirits, that's obviously a bad thing. But it's a good-bad thing. If that makes sense."
  425. (Amalia Hargrave)
  426. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  427.
  428. [03:44] Asta Hargrave says, "Farewell, Knight Bella."
  429. [03:45] Asta doesn't seem to understand how ranks and the Order works.
  430. (Asta Hargrave)
  431. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  432.
  433. [03:45] Bella Senatus says, "Stay safe My Lady."
  434. [03:45] Moserah didn't know what else to say really, Ophelia seemed to have everything nailed down verbally and Kofe wasn't to her ears, inciting any further aggression in the snip-snap-backs department. And the best thing for Mose was; people believed them! They weren't going to dismiss it just because of their race, finally, some more progress had been made about the matter.
  435.
  436. "We ought to leave all boring political crap for later, I think we can all agree that this is something nobody needs or wants to face alone.", Mose says with a frown, "I don't want to face a Wraith alone, the whole thing was nasty. Utterly awful, even if it gave me a thrill from the fill of adrenaline coursing in me and I- Oh.."
  437.
  438. Moserah goes from frowning to just tilting her head and blinking at Asta, she wasn't exactly hurt but that was just a little out of the left field there. Savages?! Savages!? Barely.
  439.
  440. "Mm, right. Anyway, Kofe when you're ready to hop back, let me know. I'll fix your head before we leave."
  441. (Moserah Hayussuin)
  442. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  443.
  444. [03:47] Kofe says, "Sounds good, Moss."
  445. [03:49] "Ms Soleis." He doesn't say anything more, but there's a note of warning in his voice. Best the girl quit whilst she's ahead. His attention shifted soon towards Kofe, eyes resting on him a few moments before he gave a small nod and shifted attention to Asta.
  446.
  447. He could feel the struggle, feel her victory. She'd feel a very simple emotion through their bond. He was proud of her. "Lady Asta is correct. The King needs to set the tone, given Osrona is the one the greatest grievances against Ilburg, and the one currently in danger of a Therian attack. A Theria bolstered by exactly that enemy that my wife speaks of." Witches, he assuming -it'd be kinda awkward if he was wrong, though he didn't go probing into her mind to try and verify it before speaking.
  448.
  449. Bella's words were nothing he particularly disagreed with, nor so worth responding to, so he instead shifted attention to Amalia briefly. "It does make sense, as complicated as it is." And finally, Moserah. "If this threat necessitates a combined response, politics are going to be what allows that to happen, and ensure that the people we represent do not come out worse for it." After all, a success in the desert only for them to be attacked from the North immediately afterwards would likely be disastrous.
  450. (Regulus ven Grimmore)
  451. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  452.
  453. [03:50] Moserah Hayussuin says, "Politics makes people treat people as if they ain't people."
  454. [03:50] Ilsa lei says, "Sometimes, yeah."
  455. [03:50] Moserah Hayussuin says, "No matter how you try to sweeten and sugarcoat it, politics are just legalised witchcraft if you want my opinion on it."
  456. [03:53] Ophelia busied herself with plucking the flower crown off of her head, inspecting it quietly before replacing it. New flowers bloomed freely upon it before she offered a merry smile in the place of the frown.
  457.
  458. "I'm glad that you're willing to come to the proverbial table of peace, Lady Asta, Lord Grimmore. Now, I must return to Osrona to sleep, in order to rise early to catch Penelope before all Hel breaks loose." She said.
  459.
  460. "Do have a good... I don't even know what time it is, honestly. Evening? We'll say evening. Expect an organized time and date for the talk from Alexander soon."
  461.
  462. Her job here? Done.
  463. (Ophelia Soleis)
