  1. a camera build, specs
  2.
  3. microphone: stereo audio (upside: I catch all the beautiful ambient nature noise, downside: that ambient noise isn't so great for things like interviews) with a windshield (to dampen the ugly wind noises) and an arm to extend it farther away from the lenses and me
  4.
  5. grip: my camera doesn't have built-in video stabilization, and I kinda like it that way as stabilized video feels unnatural/strange to me, so I have to try to stabilize myself, this helps
  6.
  7. tripod: this one's actually made for indoor lights and shit for windy or dirty conditions, but one tripod broke and the other still has parts buried in moving boxes, so this will have to do for now. this will help me stabilize high-up still shots as well as record myself more easily
  8.
  9. lenses: a good 18-55mm lens, two cheap tubes I add to it (10mm and 16mm) for macro shots, and an ND filter usually used to help bright sunlight look less bright, like sunglasses for cameras. ideally I don't want the dark ND filter for this shoot but my clear UV filter has a scratch in it and I don't feel comfortable exposing the raw expensive lens to the elements, so this'll have to do.
  10.
  11. camera: my fujifilm x-t30. not ideal for video as it has a max video recording cap of 10-15 minutes but I really love the quality of images, and it doesn't seem worth it to get a video-specific camera or an external recorder right now. figure I'll try capturing short shots and edit them together, try to work with that limitation.
