  3. Passive Effect: When Riven uses a special move that has the ability to gain stacks, she gains stacks of Runic Blade, up to 3. Pressing the D button when you have at least one stack will empower Riven's blade, increasing the damage of the next move by 4% per stack and adding an effect based on the move used (ie: wallstick, faster recovery time, etc). Stacks persist for 90 frames (1 1/2 seconds) before disappearing if Riven has not used the stacks.

  6. 236 A/B/C: Broken Wings
  7. Riven slashes at the opponent, starting a rekka chain. The button used determines the startup and damage/hitstun of the slashes.
  8. A: Fast startup, low damage/hitstun
  9. B: Medium startup, average damage/hitstun
  10. C: Slow startup, high damage/hitstun
  11. First input: Riven does a spinning slash. C version hits twice.
  12. Second input: Riven does another spinning slash. (????)
  13. Third input: Riven does a jumping overhead slash. A version causes a soft knockdown (techable as soon as they hit the ground), B causes a hard knockdown (untechable until hitstun runs out) and C causes a groundbounce.
  14. Rekka inputs are preserved for up to 60 frames (ie: you can start the chain, let Riven recover from the first rekka, link a move, then do another rekka input, and it will continue the series). If no rekka input is made during this grace period, the rekka series will start over from the 1st input. The entire rekka series is counted as one special move total, rather than one special move per rekka input.

  17. Riven raises her sword into the air, releasing a blast of energy.
  18. A: Low startup, invulnerable frames on first frame of startup onwards, low damage.
  19. B: Low startup, only upper-body invulnerable on frame 5 of startup, average damage, causes a stagger on ground-hit.
  20. C: Average startup, no invulnerability, above average damage. Causes a wallbounce when the enemy contacts the wall.

  23. Riven dashes at the enemy. Pressing a button during the active frames of the dash does an attack based on the button used.
  24. A: Riven slides and slashes at the opponent's legs, hitting low.
  25. B: Riven does a jumping overhead slash, hitting high. Causes a groundbounce on hit.
  26. C: Riven swings her broken sword in a crescent arc, launching the opponent.
  27. The dash followups are counted as one special move, but the dash itself isn't considered a special move.
