  1. [20:35] Syrta began to trace a ritual sign on the floor, following the instructions in the book held in her off hand.
  2. (Syrta)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4.
  5. [20:54] Syrta says, "I think thats right.."
  6. [20:54] Syrta looks at the instructions in the book, and how everything was laid out.
  7. (Syrta)
  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [20:55] Calypso says, "Hm."
  11. [21:06] It would take some time, but eventually he would awaken once more.
  12. The recent sacrifices to him had garnered him more strength, however -- It had been some time since he had been active. The mere effort of their last encounter had drained him enough to return to yet another slumber, short-lived as it may've been.
  13.
  14. The spare material cast off to the side was consumed by encirculing tendrils rising from the bulbous masses of the flesh moss below, only to vanish back from whence it came. The material was... Absorbed? Somewhere beneath the meaty surface.
  15.
  16. What remained? Were the candidates, and the ritual circle crafted of the necessary ingredients. Syrta was looking over the book as the eyes opened up, examining the scene.
  17.
  18. "The Lightning crystal must be placed upon the runic symbol of the Centricon for which the ritual is to be initiated from. Then...
  19.
  20. Speak the words, so it may be done..." A command, for the ritual was prepared, but not yet initiated.
  21.
  22. "Once the words of the ritual are spoken, the chosen for its enactment is to bestow their mana upon the lightning crystal at the center, upon the Centricon itself."
  23.
  24. (Terminus)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [21:06] {Item} You picked up Copper x15. Dropped by Calypso.
  28. [21:06] {Item} You picked up Air Crystal. Dropped by Syrta..
  29. [21:06] {Item} You picked up Water Crystal x3. Dropped by Syrta.
  30. [21:27] Syrta picked up the lightening crystal and placed upon the runic symbol, her one eye reading the words once before reading the words out loud, the sudden rush of energies from the book catching her off guard for a few moments but not enough to make her stammer.
  31.
  32. "Id quod Unum me facit renuntiavi, nam nunc sum plures."
  33.
  34. The words spoken, she turned her gaze toward Calypso, for it was now his turn to participate, the ritual's recipient chosen. They had asked first, and the sooner they were ready to take care of themselves the better. It would free them both up to attend to tasks as well.
  35.
  36. While she held the energies in check, she waited for Calypso to finish the ritual.
  37. (Syrta)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [21:36] He snapped out of his daze and moves over to help her with the ritual, he didn't read over the book so he wasn't sure what he needed to do. The only thing he could do was repeat what he heard her say.
  41.
  42. "Id quod Unum me facit renuntiavi, nam nunc sum plures."
  43.
  44. He repeated while taking a few steps closer to the ritual circle, he continued chatting while she stood in the middle. He wasn't sure if that's what he was suppose to do, but they'd correct him if that was the case until then he'd continue with the chats.
  45. (Calypso)
  46. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47.
  48. [21:44] A passive ambiance fills the air unlike the dampness, bringing about the flare of light emanating from the core of this transmutation effort: The lightning crystal. Mana wrought a mauve glow upon all of the gathered ingredients, even forging faint leylines to connect the many tributes with one another around the Centricon.
  49.
  50. Then...
  51.
  52. Nothing happened?
  53. Odd, supposedly something was supposed to happen.
  54.
  55. Tap.
  56. Tap.
  57.
  58. A tendril poked at Calypso's shoulder, attempting to draw his attention to the wall revealing lips that whispered for the youth's ear.
  59. "Cast your mana into the crux. The lightning crystal on the runic symbol of the Centricon is the crux. With your mana, the ritual has a target..." It claimed, before receding back into the wall from whence it came.
  60.
  61. The greater manifestation of Terminus' presence remained silent, unmoving... Waiting, still.
  62.
  63. The conditions were not yet right.
  64. (Terminus)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [21:48] There is was, he somehow missed that the first time even still he wouldn't delay the process anymore. He walked forwards and cast his mana into the lightning crystal, trying his hardest to send forth If only a portion of the demonic energy granted to him.
  68.
  69. "Understood."
  70.
  71. He focused solely on the crystal until further instructions were given, if he was suppose to finish what she started then perhaps there was nothing left to do after the crystal.
  72.
  73. "I apologize-- for some reason I zoned out."
  74.
  75. Slowly his mana continued pouring into the crystal.
  76. (Calypso)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [21:58] The leylines upon the flesh-moss intensified the glow, now conjuring alabaster static to dance over its centerpiece, crawling along the linings with voracious mannerism.
  80.
  81. "Then, it shall be done."
  82.
  83. The floor sunk inward, only to find five gargantuan tendrils slowly protruding through the flooring akin to a giant's hand phasing sifting through sand for its prize.
  84.
  85. It phased through so effortlessly, fluid in fashion too, as though to offer time for those that stood within the center of the circle time to escape it. In time, the tendrils would clasp shut, closed off from the world abroad.
  86. Had Syrta remained still within the center, she would be expelled from their clutches, phased through the fleshy surface of the tendrils to falter to the meat-moss below.
  87.
  88. The mass was rising from the flooring now, resembling a giant's fist. It took to a glow of deep lavender, shining to illuminate the entire room. The song it would resound throughout thecave imitated a choir's own, harmonic even... Drawing forth loose debris and persons to the air.
  89. Was the tangibility of gravity succumbing to this depraved miracle?
  90.
  91. "Mind. Body... And Soul... Purified by absolute black... You have been baptized in my blood prior... And so now, your many parts shall become kindling for the pyre I shall ignite upon you..."
  92.
  93. The fist opened up to reveal... Burning lavender flames, outlined with deep tangerine.
  94.
  95. "Dub yourself of your name... Reborn through my blood, and now, marked of my essence..." A swift motion flailed the flames unto Calypso to ignite him whole. This, was unlike the invasion of his circuitry before. Nay...
  96. This time, occultic flames caught to his clothing... His flesh, and burned down for the circuitry within. They taunted and tainted, ebbing away at skin and muscle.
  97.
  98. They burned without regard for his wellbeing, but most importantly, the soul was being tarnished in this tether to the body, wrought to intense flexing -- unable to properly condition itself properly for holy-based magic casting.
  99.
  100. They would be... Forever changed.
  101. (Terminus)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [21:59] {Won Restrained RPB against Calypso}
  105. [22:03] ** Terminus has inflicted an injury upon Calypso. ("Ether Flex", "The singe of occult pyre upon the flesh has ebbed down to the circuitry. The body has become its kindling for its unrelenting burn. Focusing on the pain seems to strengthen this parasitic bond, however, it may have lasting consequences. While the anguish it causes may be of serious discomfort, it is of no doubt that the strength it pays back over the course of months is with few equals.", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
