  1. [edit 7/28/21] I CAN FINALLY POST YOU YAY
  2.
  3. <-- Gurashi recently wrote a letter to the Star Council about Coven-related things and certain citizens and getting more and more anxious about it. Then Alarin reached out and said <redacted> told HIM something very damning. Then <different redacted> FURTHER confirmed to Gurashi that things were definitely afoot, and they could hardly contain themselves or their desire to investigate before causing any sort of panic!!!

  5. ~~~~~
  6. (Monday 7/26)
  7. Waterlogged in a narrow cavern.
  8. Sloshing underfoot, standing water floods the cavern floor, fed by an unending trickle that weeps down the sheer stone surrounding this lonely mountain recess. Diffuse, haunting prasine mists linger with strange luminescence just above the stagnant pool, coiling longingly toward a curtain of fireweed blossoms draped over the farthest wall. A faint breeze whistles from some indeterminate source, tracing over dappled blue pectolite that ripples in veins where it crests over duller rock in silky patches of erosion. Despite the constant stir, a briny stench hangs in the air, accompanying a pervasive clamminess that clings and chills.
  9. You see exits leading east and through a tangled curtain of fireweed blossoms.
  10.
  11. LOOKIT ME
  12. Bizirik's head begins to droop. It opens its great maw and curls back its lips to allow its forked tongue to unfurl as it yawns before snapping its mouth shut.
  13. They are a feathered trill kindly demigod changeling. Downy plumes of vibrant orange cascade in a tumble around their head, the cluster of feathers stopping just short of their shoulders and moving at the slightest breeze. A cluster of snow-white feathers grow near their right temple. A natural mask of downy black feathers have sprouted around their eyes, covering the upper portion of their face and fading in with the colorful orange feathers at the hairline and temples. A moderately-sized, crescent-shaped scar mars their right cheek, pink where it would otherwise be black. A hint of discolored flesh can be seen at the center of their sternum, mostly obscured by their clothing. Two tufts of feathers gather where their ears would normally be, adorned by long, curling feathers that react to their mood. Their eyes are wide and inquisitive, a stunning gray that looks almost blue against the bright orange and striking black feathers. They stand just shy of six foot even, with a thin, willowy build, their skin sandy and smooth. Hanging half-limp behind them are a pair of great apricot-colored wings, the covert feathers nearest to their back the same ebony-violet as the feathers that cover their brow and cheekbones. Their wings are sleek and shiny, evidence of recent grooming efforts. A brilliant ivory light suffuses the air about them, pulsing occasionally with a sense of childlike joy.
  14. They are wearing:
  15. a starry wreath of celestial light set atop their head like a halo
  16. an ebon throwover cloak striated with lilac patterns wrapped protectively about their form
  17. a circlet of crystal thorns resting loosely atop their head
  18. a vivid red-orange poppy tucked lovingly behind their left ear
  19. the Mantle of Starlight which flows dreamily about their shoulders and back
  20. a breezy blue cotton tunic which hangs flatteringly from their form
  21. mercurial Mysraian prayer beads pulled taut against their right wrist
  22. a Glomdoring friendship bracelet which jingles softly on their left wrist
  23. minty citrus incense beads pulled taut against their right wrist
  24. aromatic cedar and cinnamon incense beads pulled taut against their right wrist
  25. a shifting, living poppy of violet petals worn delicately upon their left wrist
  26. a driftwood ring of sea breezes fitted tightly to their left middle finger
  27. a pair of black trousers bearing silver stars which fit their shape nicely
  28. Refined Boots of the Paladin, worn and weathered from use.
  29.
  30. You think to yourself: *a growing sense of dread, the snapdragons in their grasp feeling like they weigh a literal ton* ... it can't be true....
  31.
  32. You think to yourself: *fear grips them, but a desire to know the truth, and a fleeting image of first Tridemon, then Cheliyi, then all of their friends passes through their mind's eye, and that desire becomes bravado, coaxing them forward*.
  33.
  34. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  35.
  36. You step into the sanguine pool and approach the curtain of fireweed, gingerly parting a stalk woven with flame-red blossoms aside. The tangles ensnare your hand and set your skin aflame with numerous stings but it is too late to withdraw. The curtain is drawing you inwards, consuming you within its dark and lush depths. Momentary darkness gives way to light as you are cast out into a sultry lagoon, your body covered in crimson moisture.
  37. The Fulcrux of Li-varili.
  38. A comforting feeling of privacy pervades the area. Captivatingly aquamarine shallows rest in preternatural stillness, secluded amidst this sultry, tropical lagoon. Beneath the water's crystal surface, visible roots stand unburied and upright, arching into mangroves like cages for the sinuous shadows intermittently threading between their aquatic bars. These spindly trees both shelter and protect the intimate space beneath their lushly snarled canopies, their boughs dripping with woven veils of tender fireweed blossoms, petals wafting a grassy scent into the saltwater air. As the forest finds purchase on sandy soil about the perimeter, its trunks cluster more thickly together, forbidding exploration with treacherous footing - and forging a dark, claustrophobic prison out of its labyrinthine overgrowth. A coarse island shrine rises from the centre of the shallow pool, bromeliads bursting about it in glorious adoration of the Lady of the Lagoons. Humming a honeyed melody to herself, Oinone watches her surroundings with thinly veiled amusement. Languorously bathed in the waters here, Iaira studies you, her gaze half-lidded.
  39. You see a single exit leading through a tangled curtain of fireweed blossoms.
  40. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  41. You have recovered balance on all limbs.
  42.
  43. LOOKIT LADY #1
  44. Wreathed in lush waterfalls of lilac blue hair, this nereid possesses a captivating beauty in both physical appearance and her voice, oft lifted in singsong melody. Her upper body is that of a healthy woman, her dusky indigo skin glistening with rippling striations, patterned like sunlight glancing off water. Languidly trailing below, her lower half forms a piscine tail, its fireweed pink scales flashing violet, like glittering amethysts whose gemstone hues likewise sparkle upon her frilled, watercolour-streaked fin. A puckish twist to her dark, pouty lips belies her every word, whether uttered or sung, as do her lidded eyes, grey like the most vicious of hurricanes, twinkling with otherworldly mischief no matter what might win her attention.
  45. Oinone, the blithesome nereid has an air of extreme strength.
  46.
  47. LOOKIT LADY #2
  48. Eminent self-confidence marks the bearing of this bewitching nereid, her every sedate gesture filled with vain conceit. Unruly hair the colour of fathomless night tumbles down her back and mats against her cheeks, framing exquisite, sweetheart features with its dampened curls. Burnished like liquid gold, her upper body glows with radiant vitality, nary a blemish marring her supple skin and enchanting appearance. At the waist, her shapely physique curves into a piscine tail, its scales the feverish red of bromeliads, its silken fin lazily fanning the waters in which she prowls. Quiet hunger seethes within her violet gaze, veiled behind a curtain of thick eyelashes and feigned disinterest.
  49. Iaira, the covetous nereid has an air of extreme strength.
  50.
  51. Violet lightning crackles across the firmament, the heavy stormclouds above momentarily parting with the force of its passage.
  52.
  53. Surprised, you say, "... nereids..."
  54.
  55. Iaira, the covetous nereid's tail fin flicks at the water's surface, splashing droplets of the lagoon's waters as she lazily swims. "Didn't you know? We are the daughters of our Great Mother Li-varili."
  56.
  57. You have emoted: Gurashi jolts, slipping back towards the curtain, wide-eyed.
  58.
  59. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "...ah, right ... th-then you know, the Lady Empyreal is working hard, to helps She ..."
  60.
  61. Iaira, the covetous nereid smiles darkly. "The longer She keeps Mother trapped, the longer She allows others to see just Who She is, hmm?"
  62.
  63. You have emoted: Gurashi furrows their brow, shaking their head. "...no, no, She is healing," They try to insist, stepping in a little closer, looking between either nereid. "It is not like what the Enchantress dids ... is helping - is parts of healing."
  64.
  65. You think to yourself: *a flicker of recollection, a deep, buzzing voice filled with reverb: "Bring a cluster of snapdragon flowers..."*.
  66.
  67. You look at Oinone, the blithesome nereid, expression filled with concern as you frown.
  68.
  69. You greet Oinone, the blithesome nereid with a sincere smile.
  70.
  71. Her fin fanning like a lady's gown in water, Oinone, the blithesome nereid swims closer to you, her dark lips pouty, voice bewitching. "You've come to help me again! You'll help me awaken our Lady from Her slumber, won't you? I have the best idea ever - far better than my Iaira's, you'll agree. We'll collect something to remind Her of what She is missing!"
  72. [1] (say) What shall we collect today?
  73.
  74. You stare blankly into space.
  75.
  76. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "...wake Her ..."
  77.
  78. You greet Iaira, the covetous nereid with a sincere smile.
  79.
  80. Iaira, the covetous nereid looks up at you, a wickedly spiked conch shell clutched in her hands. Slowly, her lips curve into a smile dripping with dark amusement. "Come to help me awaken Mother from the trap woven by the White, have you? Then we will sing to Her directly through this precious conch. Surely She will hear our voices if we do."
  81. [1] (say) Let me help you with your conch shell.
  82.
  83. Beads of sweat break out on your face.
  84.
  85. In an airy, melodic voice, you whisper, "What."
  86.
  87. You think to yourself: They can't possibly be serious.
  88.
  89. Fluttering as if caught by a breeze, the silvery threads of tinsel weave about in a haphazard pattern: conjuring new constellations and shapes as they glow from the sidereal light of the wreath's fine filaments.
  90.
  91. Suddenly disturbing the waters, a menacing shadow vanishes deeper into the gloomy shade of mangroves.
  92.
  93. You think to yourself: *a growing sense of panic, of despair - what could they possibly be thinking, what could they possibly want or think they might accomplish*.
  94.
  95. You greet Oinone, the blithesome nereid with a sincere smile.
  96.
  98. [1] (say) What shall we collect today?
  99.
  100. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "What shall we collect today?"
  101.
  102. Oinone, the blithesome nereid bares her fangs in a delighted smile. "I knew you would want to help me. We must find the perfect thing to remind Her of our love for Her, and bring Her back to us."
  103.
  104. Oinone, the blithesome nereid exclaims, "Bring me, hmm..." She pauses, considering. "...Let's try something to remind Her of what remains unfinished. A cluster of snapdragons, perhaps? I don't care how or where you find such a thing. It WILL work this time, I'm sure of it!"
  105.
  106. You have emoted: Gurashi's shoulders sag in disbelief.
  107.
  108. In an airy, melodic voice, you ask, "Why snapdragons?"
  109.
  110. You stare at a cluster of snapdragons, eyes wide.
  111.
  112. You think to yourself: I do not want to hurt Her - it cannot be true.
  113.
  114. Suddenly disturbing the waters, a menacing shadow vanishes deeper into the gloomy shade of mangroves.
  115.
  116. You shake your head.
  117.
  118. You approach the curtain of tangled fireweed, gingerly parting a stalk woven with flame-red blossoms aside. The tangles ensnare your hand and set your skin aflame with numerous stings but it is too late to withdraw. The curtain is drawing you inwards, consuming you within its dark and lush depths. Momentary darkness gives way to light as you are cast out into a narrow cavern, your body covered in crimson moisture.
  119.
  120. Waterlogged in a narrow cavern.
  122. You see exits leading east and through a tangled curtain of fireweed blossoms.
  123.
  124. You shake your head.
  125.
  126. You think to yourself: No no, no.
  127.
  128. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  129.
  130. Before a secluded mountain spring.
  131. Immaculate white marble glistens with a faint sparkle of mist as the narrow path opens up to reveal a shallow mountain spring, filled with the gentle sound of trickling water. Marbled shades of celadon blue dance across the smooth surface of the polished stone, resembling the way starlight dapples across the open sea as it emanates with a constant thrum of cool, luminous energy. A soothing breeze whispers throughout the hollow cavern, resounding within the alabaster walls with a lingering, watery echo. Shimmering over with water and light, a sparkling veil of white mist draws a starry curtain here.
  132. You see exits leading north and west.
  133.
  134. You have emoted: Gurashi seems to be considering their options, hands tightly laced together, eyes wide and in disbelief. They pace at the base of the mountain path enough to leave a wet ring indicating their footsteps. "What do I do," They warble aloud as they wring together their hands at their heart. "I have to tell everybody!" They stop pacing. "No, that will hurt Sutekh. I have to tell, SOMEBODY - the city must know!" Their eyes glaze over with tears. "...maybe the Covens does not exist, but Her following still does... oh... what do I do, what do I do," They warble again, covering their face with both hands.
  135.
  136. You have emoted: ...and then, Gurashi's attention drifts towards the south, feathery ears flicking.
  137.
  138. You think to yourself: ... the Lady Empyreals...
  139.
  140. You think to yourself: *their heart still pounds in their chest, blood rushing in their ears, fingers feel stiff and hard to move* ... courage ...
  141.
  142. You part a sparkling veil of white mist, leaving your surroundings in a bright shimmer of water and light.
  143. The Fulcrux of Lantra.
  144. The rush of running water echoes throughout this alabaster sanctuary, its white pillars surrounded on all sides by shimmering waterfalls. Breathtaking stars twinkle across the misty falls as they collect into a luminous gazing pool, its rippling waters clear and sparkling as they reflect the open expanse of the celestial sky above. Caught in a graceful dance of duality, an immaculate white koi fish circles its dark twin in the glittering depths of the basin, continuing in a silent push and pull as their silhouettes form two halves of a whole. The white, blue and pink petals of assorted lotus flowers crown these starry waters with their regal beauty, standing at the feet of several stone priestesses who guard this place. The statues bow their veiled heads in silent prayer, each bearing a tilted celadon urn that overflows with the boundless light of healing waters. Shimmering over with water and light, a sparkling veil of white mist draws a starry curtain here. Impossibly still at the centre of this luminous pool of water and light, a single star lotus flower blooms brighter than all the others, its heart radiant as the dewy petals unfurl to reveal a beautiful, enchanting light.
  145. There are no obvious exits.
  146.
  147. Your wings flap excitedly behind you.
  148.
  149. You have emoted: Gurashi flits in anxiously, nearly tripping over Bizirik, the leothin in their haste. The leothin snorts, then sits down bodily by the door, allowing the trill to continue further inward. "Lady," The trill calls out hopefully, hands balled near their heart. "Lady Empyreals?? Are You there?" They raise their volume, voice trembling with anticipation or fear - or both. "Do You wake?"
  150.
  151. You fidget impatiently.
  152.
  153. The Mantle of Starlight flows gently against your form, twinkling stars shifting across its surface as the starry infinity continues its eternal motion.
  154.
  155. Bizirik, the leothin snorts from the entrance, offering its support.
  156.
  157. You think to yourself: *their head continues to race with thoughts, with the learning they've just undertaken - they must tell everyone! But how best to handle it? will it cause a mass panic? will any amount of tardiness lead to disastrous consequences?*.
  158.
  159. You have emoted: Gurashi quivers in their spot, turning again, jaw set and lips pulled into a thin line. They regard Bizirik, who continues to wait on its best behavior near the entrance to the Fulcrux. "I don't know Bizi," They warble out to the leothin. "I-it is an emergencies, isn't it? This is terribles - I want to wait a little longer." The leothin snorts again in oddly solemn understanding.
  160.
  161. The star lotus at the centre of the luminous pool unfurls with dewy light, revealing a heart of immaculate starlight.
  162.
  163. You have emoted: Gurashi looks down at the luminous pool, frowning at the flower as its petals unfurl, ceasing their pacing for a time to observe expectantly.
  164.
  165. Bizirik, the leothin looks exhausted and opens her mouth in an enormous yawn.
  166.
  167. Soothing winds whisper past you on an errant breeze, rippling through the Fulcrux's sparkling mists like water.
  168.
  169. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  170.
  171. As you offer Mount Zoaka's Titanium Brazier of Explosive Transformation unto Lantra, the Empyreal, the offering vanishes in a swirl of water and light, enveloped completely in a celestial glow that leaves only a soothing white mist in its wake.
  172.
  173. You flap your wings excitedly at the master shrine of Lantra, gusting the air about it.
  174.
  175. Kneeling humbly, you press your palms together before you and close your eyes momentarily as you pray devoutly to Lantra, the Empyreal, "Dearest Lady Empyreals - it is me, Gurashi. I would have news for You, most disturbings. I know You are busy with Your healings but it is about exactly thats, and so am afraid to let it waits. I am afeared to start any sorts of panics amongst my fellow citizens just the same, for I feel much anxiety about the news myselfs. It involves ... sabotage! Or plans of suchly! I loves You! Thank you so muchly for keeping our city safely and taking care of my mine-child so well. Stay goodly and kindly, sincerely, Gurashi!!".
  176.
  177. You quickly bend at the waist to offer a polite half-bow.
  178.
  179. <-- runs off and immediately collapses on Tridemon and Cheli in an exhausted fit... then like an hour later literally 10 minutes before I logged out...
  180.
  181. Your wings flap excitedly behind you.
  182.
  183. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "Ahm..."
  184.
  185. You have emoted: Gurashi sways, then sinks to sit, examining the rock. "I will have to tour you later," They whisper. "I need to rest my souls very soonly." They frown, looking to Tridemon, then at Cheliyi, expression very serious.
  186.
  187. Cheliyi sits beside you, waiting patiently for any sort of explanation.
  188.
  189. You fidget impatiently.
  190.
  191. Gently, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Is okay if you don't wanna talk about its. But am here, yes. And so is dad."
  192.
  193. Tridemon gives you a peck on the cheek.
  194.
  195. You think to yourself: *brimming with anticipation, positively filled with it, making everything feel tense - betrayal and hurt, acknowledgement of what you knew but hoped wasn't already true - is this something they can wait for? can they afford to? can they afford not to?*.
  196.
  197. Slowly, you say, "I am ... investigating ... something."
  198.
  199. Cheliyi nods her head at you.
  200.
  201. You think to yourself: *like a caged animal clawing away at the edges of the colorful dome - liars! liars and cheats, that is cheats! all this inaction and you do not want to be swept up in it --*.
  202.
  203. Still choosing their words carefully, you say, "And ..."
  204.
  205. You close your eyes and inhale deeply, absorbing the scent of your surroundings.
  206.
  207. Breath shaky, you say, "Have already prayed to the Lady Empyreals abouts it."
  208.
  209. Cheliyi takes your free hand, squeezing it gently. "Okay. If there is a problem, which... sounds like there is, promise, we will do our bestly to stop it. Do want a hug?"
  210.
  211. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "My Lady, She is super wise."
  212.
  213. Attempting to be patient, you say, "So I must be goodly, and wait." They murmur. "So as to not cause any sorts of panics, or concerns. To make sure is somethings to be legitimately concerned about, or is just ..." They look down at the hand, frowning. "I know She is."
  214.
  215. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Cheliyi, "That is why I went to She."
  216.
  217. Cheliyi nods her head at you.
  218.
  219. Squeezing the hand back, you say to Cheliyi, "I want to make sure, that She - that the Lady of Lagoons, just the same - are both O-K."
  220.
  221. You have emoted: Gurashi trembles as they say this, then leans forward, wrapping Cheliyi in a hug, hiding their face against the mugwump's hair.
  222. You sniffle softly.
  223.
  224. Returning the hug firmly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Okay. My Lady said that the cocoon, it is perfectly safe. That She is watching, and that the ability to helps from mortals, it is not likely to let them hurt Anyone."
  225.
  226. Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "So even if anyone tried anythings, it would be a hard thing for them to do. Very hard."
  227.
  228. You think to yourself: *miserable dread-filled anxiety - they can't afford to wait like they did last time*.
  229.
  230. Warbling pitiably, you say, "Hard but ..."
  231.
  232. Cheliyi leans close to you and gently lays a kiss upon your forehead.
  233.
  234. You have emoted: Gurashi squeezes Cheliyi tight, frowning as they pull back.
  235.
  236. Softly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "She is not going to hurt like Mister Akuuko. Promise. It is not any pains at alls. Just healing, and time."
  237.
  238. The call of a cicada welcomes the setting of the sun and the coming night.
  239.
  240. You have emoted: Gurashi gives Cheliyi a look from the corner of their eye, though they nod in agreement, hands tucking back into their lap.
  241.
  242. Starry motes of light drift around you, beseeching you to the Fulcrux of Lantra, the Empyreal as a calm, feminine voice whispers, "If you wish to speak to Me of what troubles you, Gurashi of New Celest, you may now."
  243.
  244. You have emoted: Gurashi's head suddenly lifts, and they puff up in surprise. "Ah--".
  245.
  246. Firmly, Ablutant Cheliyi, Lotus upon Cresting Waters says, "Is not gonna be your faults. You did not keep a secret this time, you went straight to a person and told thems, yes. So it is not inaction. Did a thing."
  247.
  248. Cheliyi blinks.
  249.
  250. Cheliyi tilts her head curiously at you.
  251.
  252. Bizirik, the leothin snorts, tail slapping the ground as Gurashi suddenly leaps up to their feet, wings flapping wildly. "SHE IS SUMMONING ME," The trill practically shouts, pointing.
  253.
  254. Cheliyi blinks.
  255.
  256. Comprehension flashes across Cheliyi's face.
  257.
  258. You reach out, pulling Cheliyi into a tight embrace.
  259.
  260. You reach out, pulling Tridemon into a tight embrace.
  261.
  262. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  263.
  264. Cheliyi flops herself into Tridemon's arms.
  265.
  266. Cheliyi nods her head sagely.
  267.
  268. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "I loves you both so muchly I will be as quickly as I can i-it will all be FINE I hope maybe possibly --."
  269.
  270. You pant like a dog.
  271.
  272. You part a sparkling veil of white mist, leaving your surroundings in a bright shimmer of water and light.
  273. The Fulcrux of Lantra.
  274. 275. There are no obvious exits.
  276.
  277. You flail about helplessly.
  278.
  279. You quickly bend at the waist to offer a polite half-bow.
  280.
  281. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "I sense you are quite distressed, Gurashi of New Celest. Tell Me why this is so."
  282.
  283. Bizirik, the leothin snorts as it stands by the entrance, watching the trill break into a sprint right up to the edge of the pool. "Lady Empyreals Lady Empyreals!" Gurashi warbles as they flit around the edge of the pool, eventually dropping to the edge of the water as they catch their breath. "It is the nereids..."
  284.
  285. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "What of the fae, My child?"
  286.
  287. You have emoted: Gurashi's jaw sets, lip pulled into a tight thin line. "They are trying something," They say now in a much quieter voice, though with no less intensity as they speak to their own rippling reflection. "They want to wake Her up early! And they are asking for helps from Fate-touched to do so's." They grip the edge of the pool, leaning forward. "I do not know what to do! They would have accepted MY helps even, had I given it!"
  288.
  289. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  290.
  291. The sound of the rushing water around you slows and stills, as if considering, while the veiled statuettes maintain their gaze downwards.
  292.
  293. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "This is an unsurprising development, is it not?"
  294.
  295. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "They say She is a-wake," They glance at the nearby blooming flower worriedly, "...that You..."
  296.
  297. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "What of Me, Gurashi of New Celest?"
  298.
  299. You have emoted: Gurashi frowns deeper. "Unsur..." Suddenly their plumage puffs up, and they let out a squawk more befitting of a seagull than a trill. "I w-wanted to talk to You! To know, how to tell others, that th-they are doing this! That the Covens though they deny still being abouts are still up to no goodly." Addressing the earlier comment, their expression twists into an uncomfortable grimace. "They acts like You are keeping Her, against Her will, now. That She is a-wakes, and You keeping Her shows who You is..." They shake their head furiously as their plumage settles.
  300.
  301. Pale gold in hue, the wreath about your brow shimmers in a steady pattern, like unto a heartbeat in its gentle pulsation, crowning you in a flickering halo before settling still once more.
  302.
  303. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "I see. And who do you think I am, Gurashi?"
  304.
  305. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "What motives do you suspect of Me? For you have seen what they have."
  306.
  307. You think to yourself: *their earlier dome of color eases somewhat, their mind again swarming with thoughts, an endless sea of questions, of how to best keep safe, how to not repeat the past, to make same mistakes - their hands burn with sweat despite feeling icy cold*.
  308.
  309. You have emoted: Gurashi looks surprised to be asked this, their eyes wide as they consider their own reflection.
  310.
  311. It is now the 25th of Vestian, 595 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  312. There are 32 days until the New Moon
  313.
  314. You have emoted: Gurashi frowns, considering their next words carefully, expression twisted into one of concentration. "...I do not know, how healing works," They whisper finally. "I know ... that You are the one, that are the healer ... You are the one, who offered to keeps Her safely, when so Many Others would have ..." A pause. "Not."
  315.
  316. The soft motes of light that arc around the luminous pool continue in their calm, languid dance, the koi fish beneath the waters placid in their gentle movements. There is an almost mesmerising quality to how they chase one another, a rhythm emblematic of the cycle of life and death itself.
  317.
  318. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "I am not deaf to what is being said of Me."
  319.
  320. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  321.
  322. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "Those My presence at the healing mound remains shrouded from mortal perception, there is much I hear, whether I will it or no."
  323.
  324. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "Why do you suppose the nereids wish to free the Lady Li-varili?"
  325.
  326. You have emoted: Gurashi's hand smooths slowly over their wing as they listen, looking morose. "I think they are still connected to She, as She mades them ... they say they hear Her ..." They squeeze their wing, crumpling a few of the feathers. "I have felt Her minds, too, when giving the magnolias ... She is anxious ... antsy ... She is still connected to Her Covens too, knows they are waiting for She..." They touch their heart gently, tapping it twice. "...felt it."
  327.
  328. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "She wants to be free and they will do what She wants."
  329.
  330. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  331.
  332. Golden shades radiate from your chest and your heart beats faster with newly-appeared determination.
  333.
  334. You have emoted: Gurashi furrows their brow, seeming reluctant before there is a gentle pulse of color and light, and they lean forward. "... is ... She still asleep, Lady Empyreals?"
  335.
  336. You think to yourself: *their head roars with considerations and anxieties, insisting that NO this is NOT the same - color blooms at the recesses of their thought, begging to not be forgotten: Love and Will, ask, remember to ask ...*.
  337.
  338. Ripples of celestial light radiate out from the centre of the luminous pool as a soft, feminine voice echoes, "You can see the answer to that question as well as I. She slumbers, yes, and dreams. Vividly. Angrily. Contemptuously."
  339.
  340. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  341.
  342. Weakly, you ask, "... it feels, as if she is aware of the cocoons. Is becoming increasingly awares, of the peoples around Her - of You even ..." They wring their hands together over their wing, smooth it out again. "Does that mean She will be healed soonly?"
  343.
  344. Faint and weary, pinpricks of starlight manifest into existence, drifting away to reveal the quiet figure of the Empyreal Goddess.
  345.
  346. You think to yourself: *envisioning the pair of nereids within Her fulcrux, their sharp teeth and growing smiles enticing those who would enter to aid their cause - acting as if they would know better than a Divine*.
  347.
  348. You look at Lantra, expression filled with concern as you frown.
  349.
  350. The Fulcrux of Lantra.
  351. Lantra, the Empyreal stands here with a restrained dignity, pulsing softly with a quiet, wearied light.
  352. There are no obvious exits. <-- the saddest looktext
  353.
  354. LOOKIT SHE
  355. Her slight and statuesque figure exuding a sense of restrained dignity, She is a radiant immortal and possessed of a quiet and unassuming stillness. The Goddess's olive-skinned complexion shines with the dusky radiance of youth, and yet the ancient burden of duty weighs heavily upon Her shoulders, carried with a silent and practised grace. Lost to contemplation, She appraises Her surroundings with a distant air; the grey-tinged gaze of Her celadon blue eyes remains as fathomless and inscrutable as the hazy mists of a waterfall. Despite the seriousness of Her first impressions, however, a gentle smile graces Her lips with an almost maternal tenderness. Her every movement is characterised of an unhurried elegance and poise, reflective of an inner peace as She emanates a soothing white light.
  356. Shimmering tresses of palest starlight spill down Her shoulders in a curtain of white to end at Her waist, nary a strand out of place. Motes of silver and celadon blue interweave through Her immaculate coif, their whispers of colour evoking a breathtaking celestial radiance.
  357. She is wearing:
  358. immaculate vestments of purest white starlight that wreathe Her in a celestial glow
  359. a cascading veil of mist and water lilies that trails at Her feet, shrouding Her face from view
  360. elevated sandals of woven willow leaves that leave lambent motes with each step
  361. a bracelet of woven water and starlight shimmering upon Her wrist
  362. a mist-wreathed star twinkling upon Her glistening veil
  363. a gold damask cope clasped with a radiant star lotus settles about Her in a heavy mantle.
  364.
  365. Evenly, Her voice calm and steady though Her posture reveals the barest hint of exhaustion, Lantra, the Empyreal says to you, "You are correct in some respects. Yes. The Lady Li-varili is conscious of Her state."
  366.
  367. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly scrambles up to their feet, bowing at the waist, hands folding nervously together over their heart after they've risen a second time. "Lady Empyreals..."
  368.
  369. You think to yourself: *looking the Goddess over, the barest thread of concern growing into a rope wrapping around their mind - is She O-K? She must be so exhausted, having to listen to all those words about Her, all those doubts and regrets, have to do all that healing and keep a cool composure - a flutter in their heart, relieved they are not fully Divine, but also bereft they could not be more so*.
  370.
  371. Quietly, you ask, "...so ... it is like, a waking dreams... or, when you are ... almost asleep ... almost a-wake?"
  372.
  373. Gesturing towards the luminous pool, causing mists to gather over its still waters, Lantra summons an image forth within its still reflection: the figure of Li-varili having fallen from the impact of the Eye of Dynara's shattering, gathered into the Empyreal's arms. "She was not, at first. Her mind was unconscious, Her body struggling to maintain its strength."
  374.
  375. You have emoted: Gurashi steps closer to observe the image as well, ears flicking, rising curiously, sateliting forward. "She was very hurt," They whisper. "I remember..."
  376.
  377. You have emoted: Gurashi looks back up at the Divine beside them, wringing their hands together as they listen.
  378.
  379. Turning to face you once more, the waters shifting once more to a familiar scene, Lantra says, "As Her body gained strength in the healing, Her mind was able to awaken once more. To dream. And She could not make sense of what occurred around Her, instead taking memories of the world She had left and using them to make sense of Her present." Again the waters change -- the Morokeche Seat, the laughter of the Enchantress, the distant sobbing of a far-off lagoon.
  380.
  381. You shudder violently as a chill ripples down your spine.
  382.
  383. Pressing Her hands before Herself, Her words still calm, still even, Lantra, the Empyreal says to you, "And now, as Her body mends, and Her mind begins to relax, the Lady of the Lagoons understands what is happening to Her at last. That I am healing Her. That the Basin of Life continues without Her, and She knows not the location of the Sea Spirit."
  384.
  385. Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Understanding does not breed, however, acceptance."
  386.
  387. You have emoted: Gurashi's eyes glaze as they are again drawn to the memories playing over the water's surface. As the Divine speaks they look back to Her with a frown, swaying. "She did not want to be healed the first time," They repeat, "peoples told me... I wasn't there..."
  388.
  389. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  390.
  391. Lantra exhales faintly, the sound like a quiet echo in the otherwise peaceful stillness of the Fulcrux. Then, slowly, the Goddess's hands raise to a cascading veil of mist and water lilies, and She draws it back.
  392.
  393. Lantra draws a cascading veil of mist and water lilies away to unveil Her face, framing Her features in a sheer, sparkling curtain of mist.
  394.
  395. You have emoted: Gurashi's ears flatten again atop their head as they look Lantra over, blinking as mist and water lilies part way. They blush a little, ducking their head as if they might get in trouble for looking at the Goddess's face unveiled.
  396.
  397. With no layer to mask Her intentions, the weariness upon Lantra the Empyreal's face is exposed in truth -- a sense of dutiful severity, with the faintest hint of exhaustion, and frustration. "The Lady Li-varili's wounds are not merely physical," the Goddess says at last. "They are deeper than that. Longer lasting. If you could see Her mind, as I do, you would know the sheer extend of the wounds."
  398.
  399. You think to yourself: *the color blooms again, brighter, Gurashi, ask: Love and Will, soothed by the sounds of running water*.
  400.
  401. Exhaling softly, resigned in the way of one who has spent many years explaining and teaching, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "When Li-varili sought Me, it was a bid for power, masked as a desire for healing. She sought to wield the Eye of Dynara, but had not the reserves of power in Herself. So She sought to use Me as a method."
  402.
  403. You have emoted: Gurashi gray eyes are wide as they look back up to Lantra again, studying Her face, eventually matching tired gazes. "I am not a healer," They repeat. "I do not know, how Hamadhi see, verses how I see. Or, the Most Beloved." They fidget, canting their head to the side as they listen. "A method...?"
  404.
  405. Nodding once in assent, Lantra says, "Yes. She believed if I healed Her, that She would be able to wield the Eye of Dynara." There is a moment you hear the soft sound of laughter, but it is so brief you doubt its presence at all. "She even tempted Me with it, in Her own way. That I could use it upon the Supernals, if I so wished, once She was done in Her ambitions." The Goddess's celadon eyes turn to meet yours directly -- their quiet intensity piercing. "I do not believe the Lady of the Lagoons understands Me, however."
  406.
  407. You think to yourself: *envisioning the Divine as vessels for essence much like liquid in a cup - the Li-varili-shaped one seems remarkably empty, whereas Lantra's is overflowing - this makes sense*.
  408.
  409. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  410.
  411. You have emoted: Gurashi matches Lantra's gaze unflinchingly, unblinking. "But ... You already Love the Supernals," They whisper, "...as they are..."
  412.
  413. You think to yourself: *Raziela's bright laugh fills their mind, her tiny warm arms offering a welcoming embrace - we ALL do*.
  414.
  415. "I do," Lantra agrees softly, a tinge of fondness in the words. "Few Elders understand the half-formed, I find. Or believe, as I once did, that they hold no value if they are not complete Divine as We are. But I have come to understand they are their own beings, different than Us, even as mortals are. They possess their own strength, their own purpose, their own power. I hold no desire to upset that balance." She pauses, turning the thought over, then discards it as She continues, "I believe Li-varili only understands power."
  416.
  417. You fidget impatiently.
  418.
  419. Softly, despite the sternness in Her words, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "My actions, in Her mind, are born out of a desire to restrain Her and limit Her, or to increase My own power. She is incapable of understanding otherwise. This is what I believe."
  420.
  421. You have emoted: "She wanted everything, She said," Gurashi warbles softly, brow furrowed as they consider Lantra's words carefully, repeating that which they have already shared before. At this, they look surprised, their ears flattening again atop their head, considering these newest words with their mouth quirked to the side. They gaze at the water, then at the Goddess again. "...is ..."
  422.
  423. Warbling nervously, you ask Lantra, "... but is that O-K?"
  424.
  425. Calmly, with the patience born of thousands of years of waiting, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "You ask if I wish for the Lady Li-varili to do as She wishes without consequence?"
  426.
  427. You think to yourself: *at last their bud of a thought blooms somewhat, offering them some sort of relief as they brooch the subject*.
  428.
  429. You shake your head.
  430.
  431. You cough softly.
  432.
  433. You think to yourself: Ah - words, do not escape me now! <-- IRL totally derailed me
  434.
  435. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses again, considering the words. "...uhmmmm..." They scrunch their face mutely in understanding. "It is more ..." They inhale deeply, plumage ruffling up. "In the Beloved ... Will, is so very important. Obviously, the Lady of Lagoons has a very bigly ... driven Will..." They fold their hands together and look up at Lantra nervously. "And You! And everybody. It does not always mean that everybody is right or wrong, because, to each persons, what it is they are doing is rightly, so's as it goes along with their own Will...I do not want Her to do as She wishes, for what She wishes is to ... well, it would impose on a BUNCH of other people's..."
  436.
  437. Listening in quiet contemplation, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "You are torn, I see. You wish for Li-varili to have the freedom to live as She desires, but fear that She shall act in ways that are against the Basin of Life. Am I not correct in My assessment?"
  438.
  439. Gently, you say, "I worry, about You being stuck ... healing She," They express, "even if She does not want that ... Worry, that peoples will continue to talks and assume the worst. That bad things will happen because peoples do not understand your reasonings for still doing this, or agrees with it. It is something, that is bigger than just me, or You, or She - what happens affects everybody, it feels like ..."
  440.
  441. Quietly, you say, "...there are no other Hamadhi, right now ... to see the things You see..."
  442.
  443. You think to yourself: *for a moment they are back at the Master Ravenwood, and it is Khasur, her voice sharp and sorrowful as the explains that the Lady of Roses's intentions were only good, how Akuuko had been 'a rescue' - the Lady Li-varili ...*.
  444.
  445. You have emoted: Gurashi looks back up at Lantra after this, looking embarrassed.
  446.
  447. For the faintest moment, you see a flicker of surprise upon the face of Lantra though it is gone as swiftly as it is seen. "You need not worry for My welfare," the Goddess says in reply, the words calm and measured. "I hold precious little interest in the opinions of the Basin of Life regarding Me. Should others wish to despise Me, I am not interested in those lacking My conviction. They may disdain Me and doubt Me as they wish, for I know the truth of My actions, and of My duties."
  448.
  449. Lantra, the Empyreal says, "That is enough -- to know the Purity of My own intent."
  450.
  451. The dome of darkness surrounding Magnagora glows with power, releasing clouds of black fumes into the air above.
  452.
  453. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  454.
  455. Quietly, you say, "Is why you called everyone to help heal She..."
  456.
  457. You have emoted: Gurashi nervously rubs at their collarbone. "I am sorry if that was too rudely of a thing to say," They whisper.
  458.
  459. The words disarming in their gentleness, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Yes. I laid My intents out for all to see, who wished to. For all who wished to assist to join Me, if they desired. To watch My work. To assess it. I do not shroud Myself in the shadows, as many of My Cousins do."
  460.
  461. An enormous poppy of black and gold crackles with divine energy before exploding into a wide array of myriad petals. In another instant the poppy reappears, this time displaying a shade of dark amber.
  462.
  463. You glance askance at a shifting, living poppy of amber petals.
  464.
  465. You have emoted: Gurashi glances towards the waters, nodding, fidgeting with their tunic, standing in awkward silence before the Divine as they search for their next words.
  466.
  467. There is, again, the strangest exhale of laughter, its cadence like that of a soft rainfall. Lantra says, "In the end, it matters not. Others will believe as they desire. It is the way of things, as it ever has been. Mortals are not the first to misunderstand Me, and they shall not be the last." A wistfulness glazes over Her celadon blue eyes, fleeting in its muted sorrow, before their gaze turns clear and resolute once more. "Even so, it was the correct course for Me to take as a Hamadhi. Even if it was not the easy one."
  468.
  469. Breathless as a sigh, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Rarely is it the easy path, I find, in truth."
  470.
  471. Warbling softly, you say to Lantra, "You said Hamadhi see Lifes as it is ... is how are suchly good healers ..."
  472.
  473. Canting their head to the side, you ask Lantra, "Do You really truly believes if keeps Her healing like are ... it might ..." They wrinkle their nose, "...help the other things... perhaps some of the inside broken parts, the ones that still hurt ... what then? Will She be nicer? Or happier? Do You think?"
  474.
  475. Lantra presses Her hands before Herself as She nods, waiting for you to continue with a practised patience. As your words are spoken, She turns contemplative, a pensive look in Her celadon blue eyes. "I think it would be an unkindness not to try," She says at length. "The wounds are deep, and many still as raw as the day they were first inflicted. The Goddess... claws at them, tearing them apart anew, reigniting Her suffering again and again. It is a difficult cycle to undo." Her soft voice hushes as the Empyreal Goddess closes Her eyes, as if recalling some distant, unpleasant memory. "She has suffered much," She says at last. "I do not not know how much I can undo. Even so, I must try. For Her sake as much as that of the Basin of Life."
  476.
  477. You wince in pain.
  478.
  479. Again, the strangely discordant laughter manifests for a brief moment, though it reflects no mirth as Lantra says, "She thinks Me a cruel being, however. She fights Me at every opportunity. Her indignation and Her paranoia both seep from Her in waves, and I see them as keenly as any mortal who witnesses Her dreams. She seeks to use them as knives against Me, I believe."
  480.
  481. You have emoted: Gurashi quirks their mouth this way and that, considering Lantra as She continues. "Sometimes, it is hard to let go of the things that hurt us, because that is the only thing that feels like living," The trill coos as an afterthought, shuffling in their spot before looking up with a start.
  482.
  483. You have emoted: Gurashi watches Lantra, seeming anxious with the laugh She lets loose. They let out a curious trill, then cup their unscarred cheek. "I had already wondered ... but do You think She knows? That the nereids, Her Covens, are seeking to free She?"
  484.
  485. You think to yourself: *their head swims and swirls - surely She knows - they have seen the dreams, felt the connection - they must know, must be antsy for One Another*.
  486.
  487. You have emoted: Gurashi looks up and away hopefully, then back at Lantra. "...which brings back to why was so eagerly to come here in the firstly place," They whisper. Their wings begin to flap wildly behind them, disturbing the water and foliage.
  488.
  489. You huff, puffing your cheeks.
  490.
  491. "Sometimes," Lantra concedes softly to your first point, seeming to diminish as She speaks the single word aloud. "Even so, all of Us know suffering. All of Us know pain. To do nothing but bury Ourselves in it is... the path to Our own ruin." She watches the two koi fish in the luminous pool continue in their dance, seeming distracted by their slow, peaceful movements, as the misty veil drifts behind Her, Her thoughts difficult to read even unveiled. "I think She senses them," the Goddess says finally. "I think She does what She can to exert Her will, regardless of whether or not it is wise for Her to do so, before SHe is done healing."
  492.
  493. You fidget impatiently.
  494.
  495. You think to yourself: "...to do nothing but bury Ourselves in it ..."
  496.
  497. You nod your head slowly in understanding.
  498.
  499. Golden shades radiate from your chest and your heart beats faster with newly-appeared determination.
  500.
  501. You have emoted: Gurashi wriggles their nose as they stand there beside Lantra. "Because I believes in You," They say, eyes wide as they stare back into Lantra's. "Because as soon as found out that somethings was possibly amiss that would threaten Your works, had to tell You." They puff their cheeks and bunch their shoulders. "...and because I feel like have to tell EVERYBODY that the Nereids and Blood Covens are up to no goodly, but I would not begin to know how, without causing a panics? Or a hunts of those in Shadowlight Collectives who were parts of the Covens, who might still have a hand in this..."
  502.
  503. You have emoted: Gurashi presses their hands together. "I want to be vigilants but what happens when the Covens knows that I knows? Will they do something worser? Or become sneakier?" They furrow their brow. "Must protect everybody, including You, see."
  504.
  505. Your wings flap excitedly behind you.
  506.
  507. You think to yourself: *sheepish embarrassment, all the other worries and concerns that spilled out earlier seeming silly - an entire conversation they had been bracing for now offering a bit of relief*.
  508.
  509. Lantra goes silent for a long time, considering your words with a quiet solemnity. The faint motes of light that dance around the Goddess hush and dim, Her pursed lips drawn in a tight line. "They are not terribly subtle, are they," She states, the question rhetorical. "Their Devotions to the Lady of the Lagoons are laid quite bare. Mortals may decide how to govern their own. As for the healing..." Fog begins to roll within the Fulcrux as the tilted urns overflowing before the luminous pool shimmer with mist, dense and sparkling in a suffocating sheen of white. "That is My domain. I have fought Li-varili's will thus far. I can continue to do so. It shall be difficult, but I have given My full attentions to this task. I intend to complete it to the best of My ability."
  510.
  511. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  512.
  513. A stirring breeze caresses your exposed skin, sending shivers through your body.
  514.
  515. Gently, you say, "...O-O-K."
  516.
  517. You have emoted: Gurashi watches the fog that begins to fill the Fulcrux, head canting to the side. "...wh...at can I do?" They warble out. "To helps You in this not being one of Yours?"
  518.
  519. The mists now thinning as She turns to look upon you, a maternal gentleness in Her air, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "What do you wish to do regarding the nereids and the Bloodtide Coven, child of the Light?"
  520.
  521. You think to yourself: *envisioning themselves trudging up to the cocoon, magnolia heavy in their hand*.
  522.
  523. You have emoted: Gurashi furrows their brow, before they call out more hopefully. "Stops them, if I can. Change their minds," They <say to> Lantra. <-- I misread previous emote and thought She was leaving lmfao
  524.
  525. You fidget impatiently.
  526.
  527. You think to yourself: *wondering just how fast the Lady of Lagoons would heal, if they were all on the same side - if they were not to hinder, but to help*.
  528.
  529. Nodding once more, Her gentle gaze reflecting mere thoughtfulness, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "That Wisdom seems sensible."
  530.
  531. You fidget impatiently.
  532.
  533. Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Are you uncertain in your path?"
  534.
  535. You have emoted: Gurashi bunches their shoulders as they watch the fog roil around. "I," They choose their words carefully, "...it is funny, I was worried a while ago that Miss Calfuray might be up to somethings, and wrote to Mister Alarin, and asked him to talk to the Councils, but it has not come up. I think it might be time to talk to she again.." They frown. "I think peoples need to know, because bad things happen when there are secret secrets like -sabotage- secrets." Their wings flap wildly now and they look immensely distressed even as they say the word.
  536.
  537. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Lantra, "More peoples to be vigilantly at the Cocoons - so You can focus on healing and peoples cannot do ... naughty ...snapdragon-or-conch-related-things."
  538.
  539. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  540.
  541. You stare blankly into space.
  542.
  543. You think to yourself: *veiled acknowledgement - this is most definitely NOT something to be posted to the public - what would Magnagora do if they knew we knew? sneaky! a game of ghodak and they are all pieces on the board and they themselves are not very good at the game but by golly they are determined not to be toppled*.
  544.
  545. You have emoted: Gurashi's wings flap as they seem to be thinking up a storm, causing the air in the fulcrux to gust about randomly.
  546.
  547. Watching with a detached curiosity and thoughtfulness before She replies, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Then do as you will. As you believe the correct course to be. I have chosen the actions that are of My own Purity of conviction and will, and have the Devotion to wholeheartedly focus upon them and the Fortitude to withstand whatever difficulties that Li-varili and Her ilk may wish to place in My path."
  548.
  549. Lantra, the Empyreal says, "You must likewise trust in your own Wisdom, child of the Light."
  550.
  551. You fret over everything that might go wrong.
  552.
  553. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Lantra, "It is hard - I do not think myselfs very Wise even though Mister Alarin made that very nice play about me."
  554.
  555. You narrow your eyes, peering about suspiciously.
  556.
  557. You have emoted: Gurashi flaps their wings and bounces up and down, seeming anxious. "I am sorry, to have given You so muchly to thinks about, when You are already working so hard, and doing so muchly. I thought You would be surprised that the nereids were -doing things-, because my GOSH I thought my hearts was gonna leaps outta my throats."
  558.
  559. You nod your head sagely at Lantra.
  560.
  561. So faint you can barely hear the trace of amusement in Her words, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "I find We are often the least capable of assessing Ourselves accurately, indeed. It is why the Hamadhi are so poor at healing Ourselves, and seek care with one another."
  562.
  563. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  564.
  565. To your second point, the Goddess's gaze hardens somewhat as Lantra says, "But no. The actions of the nereids and the Bloodtide Coven do not surprise Me. Li-varili thinks.... loudly. I am aware of Her wishes, whether I wish to be or not."
  566.
  567. Soothing winds whisper past you on an errant breeze, rippling through the Fulcrux's sparkling mists like water.
  568.
  569. You have emoted: Gurashi's wings stop their flapping, and they look over Lantra curiously, tucking them both behind themselves. "It is hard, yes..." Suddenly they lean forward, warbling helpfully: "I thinks You are working very hard, and if can spare any times to do so in Your hard works, be sure to take a nap, O-K? Or read a nice books," They whisper, gazing up at the Goddess as they speak earnestly. "Let Miss Nabithia push You on the swings ... ah, if get the chance, if is any chance for rest safely - please takes it." They trail off, folding their arms behind themselves, frowning still.
  570.
  571. You think to yourself: *a morose thrum in their chest as they watch the Empyreal - She looks so very tired ... it must be so hard to have to listen to all those words, to be so reviled by the One She helps, to reach so deep to fix that which others cannot see is still broken*.
  572.
  573. For a moment, a startled laugh, fleeting and bright as a shooting star, spills forth from the Goddess's lips, so surprise is Lantra at the particular suggestions you evoke. For a moment the tension upon Her seems to lift, the unexpected humor seeming to bring a calmness and tranquility that is not born out of practised patience, but rather a genuine sense of relaxing somewhat. "Perhaps there is Wisdom in that," She concedes, a gentle smile on Her lips. "Though I confess it is not advice I am prone to taking for Myself."
  574.
  575. You have emoted: Gurashi blinks, their face lighting up for a moment at the sound of the laugh. "Is always the hardest of workers who forget to take breaks. Take breaks please, dearest Lady!" They raise a hand thoughtfully, starting to say something then phrasing it more carefully. "Perhaps, a picnic," They warble happily. "Times for Yourselfs with Your friends. Cheli 'n me have lots of ideas..."
  576.
  577. Your wings flap excitedly behind you.
  578.
  579. You shake your head.
  580.
  581. You face lights up as you smile brightly at Lantra.
  582.
  583. Rising to stand on their tip-toes, you say to Lantra, "It is going to be O-K, yes, I think. It feels that way, right now."
  584.
  585. Your wings flap excitedly behind you.
  586.
  587. You look at Lantra hopefully.
  588.
  589. Her expression softening, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Yes. I think, no matter what storms lie ahead, there is much being done to calm them. And whatever happens to Li-varili upon Her awakening... I will have done what I can to heal Her, in My way. I will have no regrets, I think. For I will have done as My conscience guides Me."
  590.
  591. You think to yourself: *the anxiety is now hopeful anticipation - of course it is different ... it does not take a Hamadhi to see that the Lady of Lagoons still suffers...*.
  592.
  593. Cooing, you say, "Am sorry if was rudely before," They repeat, looking towards the pond, the koi fish that peacefully circle within, "and many thank Yous for listening to my words and worries even though You are so very busy, dearest Lady ..."
  594.
  595. You glance askance at a shifting, living poppy of amber petals.
  596.
  597. You think to yourself: ... Love ... and Will ...
  598.
  599. You think to yourself: *for a moment they are back at that terrible day, the Eye freshly shattered, the Lady of Lagoons collapsed in a heap on the ground as the Empyreal hesitates not in gathering Her to safety* ... go in Love ...
  600.
  601. You sniffle softly.
  602.
  603. "Thank you," Lantra says suddenly, Her celadon eyes turning to look gently upon you once more. "For speaking with Me of this matter. There are those who not have."
  604.
  605. You look at Lantra hopefully.
  606.
  607. Helpfully, you say to Lantra, "I will try, to help others understand just the samely. Will do my bestest, too."
  608.
  609. You flex your muscles in an impressive display of strength.
  610.
  611. You have emoted: Gurashi flaps their wings wildly, sending a few orange feathers loose and scattering off across the Fulcrux. Seated with a strange amount of regal patience, Bizirik snorts as one of the feathers lands near its feet, tail slapping the ground behind it as it waits.
  612.
  613. Her voice soft and gentle as the mists begin to gather around Her, Lantra, the Empyreal says to you, "Worry not for Me as you continue in your work. I am an ancient being, and have weathered much doubt and disdain in My work. It will not be the first time I do so, I think. For healing is an art few understand, but many profess to."
  614.
  615. The calm words echoing as the Goddess is engulfed in the white mist, fading into nothingness, Lantra, the Empyreal says, "Your kindness, however, is deeply felt and appreciated, child of the Light."
  616.
  617. A sparkling veil of mist descends upon the Fulcrux of Lantra, bathing you in water and light. When it is gone, only echoes ripple in the luminous pool before you.
  618.
  619. You have emoted: Gurashi nods several times, feathers obscuring their face as they hurriedly move. "Please forgives me, Lady, but, I yam Gurashi," They insist, pressing their hand to their chest. "Worry is what I do best. But... ah..."
  620.
  621. You huff, puffing your cheeks.
  622.
  623. You have emoted: Gurashi stares at the spot where the Goddess was moments before, furrowing their brow intensely .... then, they lift their hands to their chest, forcing a hopeful smile.
  624.
  625. You bring your fingertips together in the shape of a heart.
  626.
  627. To the water as they start to back away, you exclaim, "Remember to take a naps!"
  628.
  629. Bizirik, the leothin snorts.
  630.
  631. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Bizirik, the leothin, "Not you, all you DO is naps."
  632.
  633. Bizirik, the leothin grins smugly.
  634.
  635. You have emoted: Gurashi wiggles, seeming like they have more to say. But they say nothing, frowning, looking about the fog in silence before turning and quickly scuttling along, racing to rejoin the leothin near the veiled entrance.
  636.
  637. Bizirik, the leothin snorts again, blowing hot air from its nostrils directly into the trill's face.
  638.
  639. In an airy, melodic voice, you say, "Ugh, bwahgh, oh man when She is done am asking if is a cures for bad breath."
  640.
  641. You narrow your eyes at Bizirik, the leothin, canting your head and peering at her suspiciously.
  642. Perking up, Bizirik, the leothin begins to chitter and thrum, its tail sweeping back and forth across the ground. It cranes its neck to gently headbutt your side contentedly.
  643.
  644. You part a sparkling veil of white mist, leaving your surroundings in a bright shimmer of water and light.
  645. Before a secluded mountain spring.
  647. You see exits leading north and west.
  648.
  649. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily.
  650.
  651. In an airy, melodic voice, you say to Bizirik, the leothin, "Do not be cutely with me."
  652.
  653. Bizirik, the leothin grins smugly.
  654.
  655. You glance askance.
